Dave and his team did a 700+ sq. ft. expansion on our home a few years ago. This included everything from excavating, pouring the footings, cement path, framing, electricity, plumbing etc. etc.
We had scheduled family to come visit close to the proposed completion date. Everyone we spoke to told us there’s no way it would stay on schedule and be done before our visitors arrived. They were wrong! Dave did a fantastic job staying on top of the subcontractors and making sure everyone kept to their schedule.
It was very evident that Dave has years of experience in the industry and thus has forged strong relationships with his subcontractors to make sure he gets the quality work he and his customers expect.
We couldn’t be happier with the way everything turned out and everyone who sees it is blown away with how the extension changes the look and feel of the house. It’s definitely the focus of the house.
Still many years later everything still looks fantastic which is a testament to the quality work that Dave and his team does.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommended Dave and will use him for any future projects in a heartbeat.

I had a 25 year old redwood deck that was worn out and dangerously close to falling down. I called a number of contractors and deck builders. Dave Perry personally came out to inspect my deck and offered suggestions on deck replacement options. He wasn’t «judgey» on which materials I «should» be using, or critical as to the styling I wanted. He just asked me what type of deck I’d like to have and offered some great suggestions on how it could fit better with my existing ground footprint. He even called a local supplier so that I could meet directly with them to pick materials. His crew started work and ripped the old deck out in a couple days (~750 sq. ft. deck). They discovered that the original ledger board had been installed incorrectly and had damaged our house siding (Dave uses heavy duty lag screws and spacers to ensure the ledger never directly contacts the house, preventing this type of damage). He quickly gave me an assessment and offered a solution that fixed the problem in a day’s time and quoted me a reasonable price for this unexpected repair. They then put in new concrete piers and a central header board (which the original deck should have had) for strength. There were a few days of rain during construction and Dave’s crew put up a make-​shift awning over the work site so they could continue work. The resulting new redwood deck is beautiful and gives us some needed outdoor relaxation time. The price was affordable and Dave did everything he said he would in a reasonable time! Dave has been our contractor on three major jobs at two different locations.
One major rennovation is still in excellent condition after three years. I expected that, but the best part is that Dave is still around and if I had any problems he knows exactly what was done, where it is, and how to fix it. As an older woman I am grateful I can put my trust in his consultation and wisdom. I just wish there were more Dave’s around to help others in their building concerns.

We had Dave and his staff re-​do our trellis, that was in need of a serious over haul.
Dave was always courteous, on time and professional. My husband is very particular on how things should be and Dave exceeded even his expectations.
Dave gave us many options to choose from and he also provided samples on how the finished product would look. This made things easier on our end.
His attention to detail is phenomenal.
He is one of the best contractors we have had the pleasure to work with and plan to use him in the future for other projects.

I called dp Construction for an estimate to redesign my fireplace. He contacted me with a date & time to meet. Dave was accommodating to my schedule & arrived
as scheduled. He provided me with an estimate & offered to meet with me to pick tiles for design. I am eagerly awaiting the completion of my new fireplace. Thanks Dave.

I scheduled an appointment with David @ DP construction for them to take a look at some remodeling I wanted to do to our home we recently bought. I’m a working man so I had to take time out from my day to meet with various contractors. I scheduled an appointment at noon time and by 1230 no one showed up at the property yet so I gave David a call. His excuse was that he is currently working on a ‘big’ project in Morgan Hill and he wouldn’t be able to meet with me today and our appointment totally slipped his mind. Uhh… thanks for the phone call buddy. Ever heard of a day planner or even a simple calendar? Shoot, time is money and I wasted my time and money waiting for this guy not to show up.

Looked all over town for the perfect GC. Went onto these «find a contractor» websites, had 5 or so contractors come over for a quote. Lot of flakey people out there, and pricing was all over the map. David Perry was referred to me by a work colleague. I contacted him, and was impressed to have him answer his phone. He has a friendly and professional demeanor. We hired him for a simple room remodel (converting dining room into an office.)
David was juggling a few jobs in conjunction with ours, however he still made us feel like a prioroity. He always answers his cell phone, and in the off-​chance he didn’t, he’d call back within minutes. This is important to me. He would call in the morning with an update as to what would be happening, who would be coming over, when they’d be arriving, and what they’d be doing.
David was thoughtful regarding work in our home. He would do all the cutting outside as to minimize dust and debris within the home. Every day the team would clean up as much as possible as not to disrupt our lives.
David facilitated framing, drywall, painting, door hanging, etc. The project was done in a timely manner, and I would refer him to anyone!
He apparently has a vast repertoire, and we look forward to using him again soon.
