Moreno Valley Courthouse

So I received a BS citation for inadvertently purchasing the wrong Metrolink ticket (Cal. PC 640©(2)). Fortunately, after wasting 3 days of my life, the officer failed to show up and the case was dismissed. Despite the positive outcome (which would have set me back $ 1100), I am still highly critical of this ‘court.‘
I received the ticket several months ago. I realized that I was supposed to ‘appear’ by the end of August. Years ago I had received a fare evasion ticket on the MetroRail before, so I called in (a chore in itself) to confirm that as long as I appeared before the date (which is the deadline), I could address the ticket. I falsely assumed everything could be handled in 1 day. WRONG! This court preys on people valuing their time more than their willingness to fight an unfair ticket.
I went several days before I was required to appear. Unlike the more seamless and efficient system in Downtown LA, I had to first see a f*cking dimwit ‘clerk.’ This flamboyant asshole had a terrible attitude. I presented my ticket and he states that’ll be $ 1100. I politely informed him that I was not going to be paying anything. His reply, with contempt, «Well, (snarl) what can I do, then?» Sorry, my refusal to pay an egregious ticket has ruined your day, sir. I forgot how difficult it must be to sit in an air-​conditioned room all day and act as a glorified cashier. Do not worry about me having to take a day out of my life to see your ugl’ass face just to get another appointment. I left with an appointment for the following week to see a judge that can do more than take my money.
When I showed up at 1 PM, of course, MV2 was closed so everyone that was there had to wait until well past 1:30 PM. Clearly, they have no consideration for our time since we are all CRIMINALS anyway. Once we are allowed into the room, we watch this video detailing our ‘rights.’ Finally, this man in a black robe appears (I do not think they are real judges). He was senile and incompetent – he did not even know the law for some of the cases that were called. When he called mine, he literally said, «I guess we will find out what that is at trial.» Lol, like wtf?! He only asked whether we defendants were pleading guilty or not guilty. Most claimed to be not guilty. Those that submitted, seemed to get off with reduced fees. I got ANOTHER court date, a little over a month later.
I show up for my trial, but the officer was not there. Not only that, they had us wait (defendants needed to report at 8 AM) 40 minutes for the 5 pigs to show up. Those smug bastards leisurely strolled in like they were early. UGH! Finally, us defendants were called in. The cases of any officers that failed to show up were dismissed. There were 11 ‘defendants’ and only 5 officers – one of which the defendant did not show up.
I think the officer that wrote my ticket was not willing to make the 2 hour drive from LA County or maybe his boss would not permit him to come to a completely different county for a stupid Metrolink ticket. Oh well, my luck. The case should have been dismissed way before I wasted 3 days of my life.
Each time you go to court in MV2, they will have you sitting there like a fool. The fake judges were ok, but I seriously hope more people challenge these ridiculous quota tickets the pigs like to give out at the end of the month. FIGHT THE POWER! We shouldn’t be paying for California’s financial woes.

Horrible system, I got my 1^st ticket ever in my life driving almost 20 years. I was trying to fight it and forget it. Temporary judge yesterday gave everyone the plea of guilty. I go online to make a payment not only are the fees ridiculous but they charge another 5.95 processing fee. On top of 35.00 for making payment arrangements. Whatever happen to hardships. Rude people inside besides the greeter who is very nice. Such a waste of time going in there to talk to a judge. I heard Moreno Valley court is not giving anyone a break because they need a new court house. So don’t bother fighting your ticket.

This place is a joke and so are the people that work here. They all need to check their attitudes at the door. I was waiting in the Attorney Line for 1 hr and 30 min. When I walked up to the window the lady was giving me nothing but attitude.

Horrible experience having been ticketed for a red light in Riverside! The ticket is $ 500! for starters and if thats not enough, if you don’t pay in time or miss a payment, they add $ 300! so thats $ 800 for a red light ticket. You go to this joke of a court and wait in line for 2 hours only to find out that you will not and can not see a judge and plead your case or at least get the fine reduced and there is a sign saying there is only one clerk and you are better off just paying it online because you can not contest the ticket. FCK Riverside!!!
I got pulled over cause someone stole my tags and apparently because of this ticket my license got suspended, so now my car is impounded for 30 days and this shit is still on my license unbeknownst to me. So, don’t ever break a law in Riverside because they are all about the money and will even call you on your cell phone to collect for this. Oh yeah, they call you. Ridiculous!!!

The worst courthouse ever! Super rude clerks that act entitled to make you feel horrible and the slowest laziest court clerks I have ever encountered from all the courts I’ve worked at. This court needs to be shut down and all the employees laid off. Shift all the work to the riverside courthouse and close this pathetic shopping mall courthouse. It is an embarrassment to any government facility. Zero stars! Expect to wait for hours if you are filing any kind of document and then kicked out I you don’t make it to the window by 4pm.

Damn… Had to go here yesterday to set up a payment plan on a ticket that I had gotten in Jurupa Valley. LOOOOOOOOOONG line… so expect to wait. I got there at 8:20am and was there till 10:45am…people standing in line all pissed off and telling their stories about how they got pulled over, and how the cop wouldn’t write them a fix it ticket and made it non-​correctable. Extremely rude sherriffs standing at the entrance… IF YOU HAVE A BELT REGARDLESS IF IT HAS METAL OR NOT… YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT OFF!
The lady at the window was nice…1 star for her… other than that… all bad… expect to wait a while before you get any help…

This place is absolutely wonderful. Walking in I was greeted by a nice lady who guided me to the correct window. The courthouse was clean an smelled fresh.

Fuck this place. I feel like throwing up just thinking about it. Perfect example of how screwed up the justice system is. Don’t bother calling them. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE. There are only 2 traffic clerk windows for the general public. There are also 2 special traffic clerk windows only for those who have appointments. If you make an appointment to see the clerk, everything is fast and easy. One time I forgot to make an appointment and I had to wait in the general public line. One of the WORST MISTAKES OF MY LIFE. After standing in line for 3.5 HOURS (I am being completely serious) I couldn’t even feel my legs anymore. They do this on purpose, they make it as inconvenient as possible because they just want you to shut up and pay your fine.
Well anyway I insisted on a court trial and they FORCED me to pay the fine first. Like someone else said, here you are GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT. Good luck on proving yourself innocent. The traffic court judge is an uncooperative, unresponsive, and uncaring asshole. He pretty much found everyone guilty. However, even worse than the judge are the bailiffs & security guys. Those guys act like fucking Nazis or Gestapo. BTW, for that one white balding/​fat bailiff with the squeaky voice that gave the opening speech & rules, YOU ARE A WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT. We all know you try to mask your insecurities and low self-​esteem by taking on a job where you get to scream at people and ridicule them. Take off that badge and uniform and we will see that you are no more than a guy who was probably abused as a child.

Disgusting, broken system. Only a while until it changes dramatically. Was told by an officer at the entrance «don’t ask any questions» before he threatened to arrest me (for asking a very simple and respectful question). So, take his advice and don’t ask questions! Instead, make demands and orders as customers should. However, there is not a real authority in sight until you get to the back of the building /​front of the line. Until then, it’s all ignorance while you wait with angry «customers» who are treated like criminals. Know your rights, what you need, and try to be patient. I suggest making an appointment to avoid being disrespected. This place is worse than the DMV. Time for some serious reform.

What a Joke! I was issued a citation by the CHP in Riverside and plead not guilty. I had to pay the fine of $ 280 BEFORE the trial! GUILTY til proven INNOCENT! I then have to go to trial in Corona and the judge rules in my favor. Well, the judge ordered my fine money to be refunded and… it’s now been over 2 weeks and the Moreno Valley Court has yet to send me my check!!! The worst part is when I went to see the clerk, there is only 1 traffic clerk and the wait was 4 – 6 hours!!! I was told it’s that way every day, 5 days a week! Where the hell is our tax money, the fine money etc? As taxpaying citizens we deserve much better than this type of piss poor service!

Can I not give a star on this thing? I don’t even think this deserves a review, but one thing I could say, the service is worst! Very slow. If this is your first time going here, make sure you come in here early and don’t bring food with you because they won’t allow it inside. It’s either you throw it or leave it in your car. Parking is no problem here since there’s a huge space outside. All courts are on the 2^nd floor.

Worst service and attitude I’ve ever encountered. They refuse to allow you you civil right to see a judge. The behavior towards people is condescending.
