Fantastic Sams Hair Salons

I have always gone to bigger salons for hair care, cuts & color. I was desperate to have my color retouched one day & didn’t have time to drive 30 minutes to my usual salon. I looked up reviews for my neighborhood Fantastic Sams & have been a client ever since. Sary is fantastic. Friendly & very knowledgeable. I sensed her confidence right away & she has never let me down yet. The owner, Mina, is helpful & professional & I can appreciate that. I am so thankful that not only are they practically at my doorstep, the stylists all do a great job (i know because i always look around as they’re working on other clients) & the prices can’t be beat!

Terrible work. They don’t do Black hair and they don’t hire Black stylists or barbers. Awful customer service as well. Minorities with very curly hair beware!

I am very disappointed with the customer service. Normally hair stylist show you the back of your head with a mirror to show you but she didn’t even tell him about the spot of hair missing in the back of his head.

This place is the bees knees. I love it. I went to Ruby’s Hair Salon but they RUINED my hair. So I went here so they could fix it and Lucy did. She was wonderful and sweet. She asked questions and made my hair look decent. I would definitely return. Hope this helped.

I usually have a small salon I go to get my hair cut and styled. Recently, it has been a bit difficult for me to get to the salon and I have been in dire need of a trim. I decided to give Fantastic Sam a try.
I went on a perfect morning after church and got to meet Abbey-​she is there the first two weekends of every month. She is pleasant to work with and has worked on hair for a long time. I was very pleased with the style she gave me. I had a coupon for $ 2 which she readily accepted.
I am glad I took the chance and met a new hairstylist who is compatible with me. Will definitely return.

New review: so sad ginger left. There were two ladies manning the shop, discussing something. The lady who did my hair was so preoccupied in her conversation, she kept hitting my ears with the comb. I asked her to be careful, and she was for about 30 seconds. Left with red ears. Not happy. Will not be returning.
OP: Got my haircut done here today. The wait was very short, but there weren’t many people anyway. But I noticed all workers were very nice to everybody there, adults and children. Ginger cut my hair. She asked what I wanted and gave me exactly that. Communicated very well and asked questions, even during the hair wash. Will definitely be coming here from now on. Miss Ginger rocks!

After reading rave reviews about sary I had to try her out. stating that she was amazing! I went in with a diy ombré hair turned orange she fixed it and made it beautiful I love it she did an amazing job. Go with sary. Also if you look at the sign in sheet EVERYONE requested her thats saying something. Good job sary if youre reading this

I came in and had my hair done by Gina. At first I was nervous because I typically go to nicer salons but I figured since I was in the area, why not. I’m so glad I did, she was able to somehow understand what I wanted and was very nice. I normally pay 40 bucks for to get my haircut and I got just as an amazing job from Gina. AMAZING

I paid 20 bucks for a haircut on my son that made him look like buckwheat. Won’t be returning here.

After reading reviews I didn’t want anyone but Sary to do my hair! After going to several places in Moreno valley and San Bernardino I found my favorite place!
Sary did a great job helping me find the right hair color and did the perfect cut! Her suggestions were awesome! I asked for side bangs and layered cut and it looks amazing!
Great deal $ 60 for a cut & color! See Sary she won’t let you down

I was ripped off with the so called «designer cut» that I didn’t ask for. As soon as I signed in the front desk I told the supervisor (horrible customer services) I wanted a hair cut and she said it was going to be $ 17.95. Yeah right! The hairstylist was a dream and cut my hair perfectly. I was thinking: I’m tipping this nice lady as soon as I pay. Then the supervisor came while the hairstylist was washing my hair: I couldn’t hear who she was talking to and regarding what.
Long story short: the supervisor was rude! Interfered with my hair cut and ended up charging me $ 35. I wanted to file a complaint in person but I didn’t have the time.
Note: Even the local Marinello is upfront about there prices and always asks and tells you the additional cost before hand. I’m disgusted with the supervisor who sneaked in charges of a damn «designer cut» I didn’t ask for.
Hairstylist: gets 4 stars, great with listening and cutting/​washing hair.
Price: insane, 0 stars

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while lol. I went in about four months ago and Sary was my stylist. She’s very friendly and professional and she did an awesome job on my hair! I’ve been going to fantastic sam’s since i was a little girl and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else! They do an awesome job and the prices are FANTASTIC!

What a rip off! They waited until halfway through my 12 year old daughters hair cut to tell me it was a «designer» cut and it was going to be extra and I couldn’t use a coupon. What a joke. After they were finished with this «designer» cut, it looked like someone had taken a weedwacker to her hair. I will never go back to this Fantastic Sam’s.

I like this fantastic Sams. I’ve been having my hair done here since they opened. I’ve tried almost every hairstylist except for the Asian guy, and by far I think Suri (Jen B. Says her name is spelled Sary, she might be right coz I’m pretty bad with names) listens to what the customer wants the most. There’s a new girl that started a week ago and for the life of me I don’t remember her name, but she was ok. I don’t want to give her high praises just yet coz I’ve only had her once, but she did a good job of making me feel at ease and she gave good input regarding a specific hairstyle that fits my personality. Anyway, she’s the younger Mexican girl with a tattoo on her right wrist of a cross.
You can check out the local newspaper or the pennysaver and get some discount coupons that will save you at least $ 3 – 4. Also, when Suri does my hair and I ask her to only trim the sides and back she only charges $ 8 when a regular cut costs almost $ 15.

Staff are super friendly. i’ve been going here for 2 years now but i always forgot to check-​in, or sometimes my at&t service has no signal and at&t is a few stores away from fantastic sams, which is very strange. but anyhow ask for Sary, she usually knows my hairstyle now, and she does a great job at it! if u’re going on a friday try to come around morning, i just came in last friday and it was instantly my turn! and if u want Sary she’s off on sundays and mondays!
I had Gina twice when i came in and turns out it was Sary’s days off, i didnt think she was looking when i showed her the picture i wanted cuz one time she cut my hair so short i look like a sick person (like i had chemotherapy!) but she did a good job on the 2^nd time, so basically shes just a hit or miss. so my best bet is to get Sary for sure, and you will be pleased!
fyi, Sary is the right spelling, not Suri, not Sari, she wrote her name on her business card spelled as SARY!

Nice and friendly staff. Place is nice and clean. Would avoid going on a Friday if you are not fond of long wait times.

I’ve only been to one other Fantastic Sam’s and that one was also great. I frequently visit friends in the area, and this weekend I had to kill sometime with a girlfriend. She gets her Hair done there by both Suri or Mena I think.
She convinced me to get my hair cut. I normally go to higher end salons in the LA area, but if figured if my «hipster» friend could do it then it was worth a shot. I couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised the cut was great by Jeff, and for only 16 bucks!!! Wow Sam’s is Fantastic.

i gave the lil mexican lady a picture of what my hair should look like mind you i have long asian hair freaking buctured my hair, my hair was past my lips but after she cut it it was spiky … i wanted layers and thinning not freakin shave my head never go here unless u like ugly cuts Sam isnt so Fantastic
