We specialize in shipping services including UPS, USPS, and DHL International. We also provide mailbox services (real street address), copying services including color, printing services, fax, notary and have retail items for sale including moving boxes, paper, tape, and mailers of various sizes.

History

Established in 1990.

While this store has been in existence for roughly 15 — 20 years it is now under new ownership as of December 2010. We are very customer oriented and are here to help frequent and infrequent shippers alike as well as home business owners with their office needs.

Business Owner

I grew up in the North Bay and graduated UC Berkeley with a Mechanical Engineering degree. I worked professionally at McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach, returning to the Bay Area in 1995 to work for Precision Castparts in San Leandro. I decided to start working for my own in 2010 and selected The UPS Store in Moraga as a place to begin my next stage. I enjoy working with people and coming up with creative solutions to potential problems customers may have.

I am joined by a wonderful staff including Robert Martin who has worked here for a couple of years now and is who I consider the ‘face’ of the store.

A recent addition to the team is my step daughter Emma who is working part time and continuing her education at UC Berkeley.

Generally speaking, this place gets my business because it’s the only option locally. I avoid it every time I’m able.
Service there is hit or miss at best; depends on who is in the store. Some are friendly and efficient; the gal who needed almost ten minutes yesterday to find a box for a small simple shipment was less so.
Prices: sky high.
Hours: very suburban.
Delivery through UPS? It’s UPS, so it gets there in good shape.
Overall: head elsewhere if you can.

I’ve been going to UPS in Moraga for years. They are efficient, friendly, and competent. Over the years, the owner has had to deal with some turn-​over in his staff, but the new people are always well-​supervised until they are trained and once they are trained, they are great. I appreciate their attention to detail. I feel a high level of trust with them.

The staff here is great. I had to photocopy a bunch of legal size documents that were permanently bound together, then send the originals UPS. I came in the door literally about a minute before they closed, but you would think I was the first customer of the day by the way I was treated.
I was annoyed at myself for arriving so late and inconveniencing the staff who I am sure would have loved to get off work on time! I was really happy that the staff was very pleasant and helpful and didn’t make me feel rushed at all. I will definitely be back the next time I need to ship something.

I dropped off 2 packages at the same time and one did not arrive. It did not track at UPS either. I called the store and asked them to look into it and was told I would get a call back. They didn’t call. I called again a few days later and told I would get a call back. They didn’t call. So I drove over to the store with the information and they say «you need to call UPS. Can I give you their number»? Thanks for NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! When I called UPS they were apologetic and gave me the info to complain about the UPS store. That is

What a super little store — many services offered, pleasant, friendly and helpful employees and reasonable prices. What more could one need??? And the polar opposite from the UPS Store in Orinda. I have received rude, condescending and obnoxious service in Orinda and will always drive the extra distance to Moraga for all of my shipping and copy needs. SHOP MORAGA!!!

Great experience every time I come here! The staff are extremely helpful and courteous, always greet me by name (thought I can’t remember theirs right now… I’ll blame it on baby brain) and have exceeded my expectations on multiple visits.
They’ve come to the rescue multiple times when I’ve had a sleeping toddler and newborn in the back seat and rather than have me wake them both up and schlep a car seat into the store, they’ve actually brought my mail and package OUT to me to have me sign for it! How helpful is that? Today, I needed to pick up a package and some mail but I didn’t have my key with me (grandma was in the car with the two kiddos) and the shop was busy so I had to wait my turn. When, out of no where, someone came out of the back office, CARRYING my mail no less and grabbed the package to have me sign.
Seriously? Love these guys! THANK YOU for always being so friendly and smiley!
The only thing I could ask for is that they enable deposit ability for USAA account holders.

I’ve been to this store before and the young guy who helped me was very nice and efficient. This time a young girl helped me. I asked her to help me make copies (sometimes those machines are tricky.) She was very annoyed to have to help me. Who needs that? I won’t be back. Orinda or Lafayette aren’t that far away.

The staff here were very helpful in my simplest of needs. I really enjoyed the guy who helped me, probably a local college student. He was very friendly and professional, and when my fax just wouldnt seem to go through (I possibly had the wrong number) he offered to scan it and e-​mail it for me which happened to work perfect me. My document was submitted on time via e-​mail rather than fax and I was a happy camper. I really appreciated the down to earth vibe of the people working.
