CNA and nurse staff are mostly pretty good. Management is poor — lack of return calls upon inquiry re a resident/​relative or other matter. Uncertainty how to handle or even recommend hospice. Lack of MD oversight and communication with resident family. Repeated requests/​reminders for care items. Lack of initiation of comfort care. Lack of communication with nurse practitioner re medical status. When our family member was reaching the last hours of life, no contact with family until after demise. We had made clear we wanted to be by her side during this period.
