My girls have been dancing at CAPA since they we 2. The older one is about to head off to college and the younger one is entering her sophomore year. I am convinced that their achievement during high school and natural leadership ability is a direct result of their experience at CAPA. To be sure, CAPA is not for everyone. If you pander to your children and protect them from challenging, demanding and rigorous experiences then this program will be to much for you. If on the other hand your interest is to build character, toughness, and a desire to win based on personal merit alone then CAPA is a platform like no other. Not withstanding the negative reviews written here I am convinced that CAPA will contribute to more young women in leadership than any other program available in the greater Bay Area.

My daughter danced here for 2 years and enjoyed the experience for the most part. But when she decided to drop dance as one of her activities, I wasn’t surprised, I was relieved. I noted during the two years that CAPA is run in a manner that rubs me the wrong way. Joan, the owner, plays favorites with dancers and mothers alike. The more money you spend on classes and costumes, the less your daughter will be marginalized and disrespected. Fees are high, and if you don’t follow the track they use on all the girls, you are essentially told to go away,

Terrible experience with the CAPA management. They are rude, unfair, just to name a few. I can’t believe they can get away with all of those.
