Specialties
Lost Creek Ranch combines the best of a western guest ranch with a world-class resort.
Every aspect of the buildings, log cabins, corrals, spa, and other facilities ensures your comfort, safety and enjoyment. Our lodge is spacious and refined with comfortable nooks and wonderful views. The sleeping accommodations are elegantly Western and our spa contains state-of-the-art equipment.
The most important and noticeable features of the ranch lie not in its structures but in its people. The ranch is dedicated to personal service. On average, we have one staff member for every guest. Our ranch crew consists of educated, experienced, trained professionals. You might discover that your wrangler has been working at the ranch for more than a decade, knows enough first aid to be an ambulance driver, and trades fixed income securities in his free time.
While very good at what they do and continually attentive to your needs, our staff members are informal and approachable.
History
Established in 1967.
Lost Creek Ranch was originally homesteaded in the late 1800s. In 1929, as the Rockefeller Family was acquiring thousands of acres in Jackson Hole to convert into the Grand Teton National Park, the ranch’s owner, Albert Schwabacher, retained private ownership. The Halpin Family purchased the ranch in 1968 in order to continue Albert’s legacy of involving new people in the region’s traditional activities. Three generations of Halpins remain actively involved in its daily operations.
Lost Creek Ranch is a Concessionaire of Grand Teton National Park and Permitee of Bridger Teton National Forest.
