Tom and his staff are consummate pros. Customer oriented and definitely not high pressure. They listened and listened and listened, over several weekends and many after hours texts /​phone calls. Tom always responded quickly or said when he would respond. They made suggestions when we asked.
We bought a 2016 Canyon Star from the factory. He kept us informed throughout. Plus told us about a Newmar program where we sent our picture with the order. Each person in the factory signed the back of the photo with a short note thanking us for the order. Plus Tom didn’t flinch when we changed the color after ordering.
We recommend Tom and his staff without reservation.

My husband and I bought a 2014 Newmar from Tom at Tom Lindstrom RV. This is our very first RV and we’d decided to move back to the mainland from Hawaii and to live in this RV full time. We felt so comfortable with Tom and his professionalism and straight talk that we bought our RV from him before we ever saw it. Tom was kind enough to keep it for us until we could come and get it. Of course, once we saw it we absolutely loved it. It was beautifully detailed and waiting for us!
Tom’s whole team is amazing, too. Scotty treated us like family and spent hours showing us every feature in our new RV. He also took us driving to teach us how to maneuver our 43 foot bus through traffic. Mike taught us a great deal, too and made sure every light bulb was working and every wire was firing. They all have continued to help us by being a phone call away and answering our questions when we’ve needed a little help.
My husband and I are so grateful that we found Tom and his business and we would recommend that you check him out if you’re in the market for a new or used RV.

Tom Lindstrom was GREAT to work with! I had been to many other RV Dealers and found them to be HIGH PRESSURE to SELL you a RV, which turned me off. I like Tom’s approach, we talked about our needs and wants before we proceeded to look at the RV’s. We found two RV’s that fit our needs and we were uncertain on which one to purchase. Instead of pressuring us into a sale, Tom recommend we think about both of them and come back the next day. I like that approach and that made the sale. This was such a great buying experience and his Staff were GREAT too!

My wife and I just purchased a 2016 new 34 foot Newmar Bay Star from Tom Lindstrom RV in Moorpark, California. WOW! What a great experience. They give a new meaning to «low pressure» salesmanship! We were first met by a young man named «Coach», who showed us the inventory of new and used motorhomes, and explained in great detail the features of each one. During this process of going from motorhome to motorhome, we met Tom Lindstrom, the owner, who was laid back, soft spoken and very professional. When we decided on a RV motorcoach we then sat down with Tom Lindstrom and he gave us an amazing deal on the new Newmar and on our trade in, again no pressure and he even threw in a few extras.
We were asked to return in two days so the our motorhome could be detailed and we were scheduled to have a walk-​through by Scotty, who spent approximately four hours with us. During that time, Tom even had an amazing lunch delivered to us so my wife and I could sit in our new motorcoach and have a meal for the first time, pretty thoughtful and cool!
We were next introduced to Mike who would hook up our Direct TV and satellite dish, he also is the «go to» guy for any questions on the mechanics of the workings the motorhome. Mike and Tom are amazing in their after service and dedication to making sure that your experience with your new motorhome is nothing but fantastic, and they are available by phone, text, email or carrier pigeon at any time.
Having driven Rolls-​Royce and Bentley motorcars in the past and experienced the way that they treat their customers, Tom Lindstrom RV is equal to or above that standard of excellent service.
In my opinion, if you are in the market for a motorhome, I do not believe you would enjoy a better transaction experience than visiting Tom Lindstrom RV in Moorpark, California.

Amazing Staff, 10 of 10 Just purchased our 2016 Dutch Star, which Tom helped us design and gave us a great Deal by beating all the other local CA Newmar, dealers by 10’s of $ 1,000 So Happy with the whole process please forget all those Mega So called Dealers I purchased my C Class from 1 of the largest in CA, what a nightmare that turned out to Be OMG. Very poor service. Stopped in to look at a couple RVs. Asked a sales person to show me two of the higher end coaches they have on the lot as they keep them locked. He said he would get someone to help me. Stood around for 15 min. No one came out. I guess they don’t really want to sell any Coaches.

This is my second RV that I’ve purchased from Tom and team in the past 5 years. What the heck took me so long to write this damn review you might ask? :-) Well, I’m having such a good time in my 2015 Newmar Dutch Star that it sorta slipped my mind. Sorry bout’ dat! But now that I’m here, I would like to give kudos where kudos are long overdue.
If you want a no sales pressure type of experience where they are there to help you make the best decision on what’s right for you, then this is the place to be. Coach (aka Brandon) was my initial sales person back in 2010 and he remembered who I was when I walked onto the lot 5 years after my first RV purchase. How cool is that? Maybe because I’m that «memorable»? Is that good or bad? I’ll take that as a good.
As for Tom, it’s just very refreshing to deal with someone that you can trust. He gave me a great deal and he was patient with me and all the changes that I made to my custom order. Tom and team truly earned my business, the old fashion way. (For those older folks, the previous sentence needs to be read with John Houseman’s voice in mind).
I’ve seen his dealership grow in the 5 years that I’ve dealt with them and I wish Tom and team all the best in growing into a larger dealership (not too big that you lose the wonderful buying experience that you provide today).
With all that being said, I’m saving my pennies as I type this review for my Newmar London Aire… maybe 5 years from today? Tom, if you’re reading this, yes, there will be a long list of specials to go with it. :-)

Good friends steered us here to see if we were ready to move up to a class A motorhome from a VW camper. They had raved about Tom and Scotty, so it was worth the drive up from south Orange County to do our test drive. It was such a low pressure experience going through the coaches with Tom, and he also made us both feel at ease during the test drive. There was never any up sell pressure, or any pressure to buy at all. We fell in love with Newmar because of the floorpan and quality of the finishings.
Our friends wouldn’t let us order that day, but insisted we try some other brands to compare. We complied, test drove and experienced the sales forces at other dealers, and then called Tom within a week to order our new motorhome. We have had it 3 months now, and we are so happy with it, and with Tom and his crew. So much so, we named it TOMTOM (LOL).
Wherever you are, it’s worth the trip to see Tom if you even think you might be in the market for a Class A motorhome.

Tom Lindstrom Rv is the only place we will buy any R V from here on out. This was the easiest transaction we have ever done. We knew we wanted to purchase a Newmar Canyon Star Rv. After looking at a lot of places we found Tom online. When my husband contacted him he had what we wanted and had the deal worked out so all we had to do was drive there, do paperwork do a walk through and it waS ours. No sales pressure or hassles. We did have to drive 2 and a half hours to get there but will gladly do it again. Tom really takes care of his customers. It’s been a little over a year and when we call him with something he always answers the phone and treats us like we were his best customer. Now that’s customer service when the owner himself takes care of his customers. Thank you Tom for the great experience.

Shopped a number of RV places, and dealt with sales people who knew little about their product, or they aggressively tried to close the sale, when I wasn’t even close to ready to buy.
Lindstrom RV was a breath of fresh air. They only carried new Newmar coaches, so they didn’t try to push me to their other brand inventory (my research convinced me that Newmar was the only brand that I wanted). If you haven’t heard about Newmar Comfort Steering, check it out, almost as easy as driving a car.
Fair pricing, and excellent support from Tom, Scotty, and Coach. I live out of state, and they delivered the vehicle to the state line, so I could pay my state sales tax, not CA. 5 Star all the way, and when I move up to the next level, will definitely trade in and buy at Lindstrom RV.

We have used Unilocal a lot to help us make decisions. When we read other postings, we always exclude the most «glowing» (i.e. family and friends)„ and the most «negative» (business competitors). After doing that, we only saw postings of five stars. At first glance, we thought, «Tom has many good friends». However, after dealing with him, we find that five stars are totally accurate !!! We found Tom to be a «straight shooter», true to his word, and one who sincerely tries to make the RV –purchasing experience enjoyable.
We find that after the purchase, he is only a ‘phone call away’ from any advice or help. He responds VERY QUICKLY, via either phone call or e-​mail to resolve any questions or concerns.
We would STRONGLY recommend Tom Lindstrom RV to anyone!

We shopped a very long time for our first RV. After selling our house we became serious purchasers. Tom Lindstrom RV was highly recommended to us. We were overly surprised by his personal approach and his desire to satisfy his customers. We were very glad we purchased our Newmar 40′ RV from Tom Lindstrom. This is the go-​to place for your RV purchase! Scotty was a gem educating us about all the buttons, toggles, lights, bells and whistles!

BEST BEST BEST Tom, Scotty are great they helped us so much. Honest, straight forward and the Best to work with. We looked for a motorhome for 8 months and was told lies after lies from the large dealers. The are only in it for the sale. Very dishonest people, I don’t know how they live with them all the lies they tell customers. We were getting very discouraged until we went online and saw this 2009 Monaco and fell in love with it. We have had the best experience with Tom and Scotty, no pressure, just honest. All the rushing so we could go on our trip and letting me load the RV at the lot, then delivering the motorhome to us, Fed Ex sent the check somewhere else and they had to locate it. All is well but stressful. The entire crew was great. I can’t say enough about Tom and Scotty, I highly recommend purchasing from Tom Lindstrom RV. They can count on us to tell all our friends what great service and friendship they provide. AWESOME experience. We love our Motorhome. :))

The short version of this comment is «hands down the BEST buying experience ever».
The long version is pretty simple: Tom is honest, straight forward, and a pleasure to deal with. We purchased a 38 ft Newmar a few weeks ago and the entire experience has been great! It was a pleasure to find a dealer that didn’t require ANY of the shopping and negotiating games that we are all so conditioned to expect. The initial visit was very informative. Subsequent visits were equally informative and we were NEVER subjected to hard sell pressures. The «deal» was quick, super fair, and as transparent as any purchase of anything that we have ever purchased. Delivery was last week, and customer service so far has been superb.
We travelled 3hrs each way, multiple times in order to purchase our motorhome from Tom. Do yourself a favor and definitely include Tom and his staff on your list of dealers.

We have been an RVing family for over 45 years. When I say family we all still go together including my 91 year old dad. We happened to stop by Tom’s location to look at a new Newmar Rv. While on the lot we were drawn to a beautiful low mileage previously owned unit being sold on consignment. We have purchased the unit and are waiting delivery. Tom is putting on 6 new tires and 4 new batteries. The buying experience was the most stress free RV purchase we have ever made. My 91 year old dad who is very experienced at reading people said «I really like that guy, Tom»
We were so comfortable with the buying experience we are placing our previously owned unit with Tom on consignment. I have no doubt that the sale of our unit will be as stress free as our purchase. Thanks again Tom Lindstrom for a new adventure in RVing.

Excellent customer service. Brandon «Coach» helped me look at a motorhome. No high pressure sales tactics at all, and he was very knowledgable on the products. Any questions he wasn’t sure of, he looked up right away and gave me an answer.

Tom and his Team were awesome !!! We recently bought a fifth wheel toy hauler form him and it went so smooth he gave us an incredible deal and we are super happy with it… Tom also went above and beyond helping us sell our old camper. My husband and I were and still are looking at every RV dealership in Southern California. Tom was, BY FAR, the most professional, laid back. fun and well mannered person we dealt with on a two day excursion where we went to 12 different dealerships. While we still haven’t found THE ONE, I continue to check Tom’s website for deals we can afford hoping we can settle on one from his business. Notice I say «I’m checking» which means he’s not calling me or texting me every day asking me how I’m doing… I can’t say the same for the other dealerships. Truly a gentleman…

I found this lot by accident. I live not far from here and I happened to see a used 5^th wheel for sale as I drove by. I have been looking for a nice used rig and this one was interesting.
I checked it out with Tom’s assistant, Scot and there was no pressure to do anything more than look. I met Tom and told him I would bring my wife by on the weekend, again no pressure. I like that a lot!
I had a travel trailer that was stored at my office warehouse. I wanted to trade it in on the newer rig and Tom offered to stop by my office and look it over.
Bottom line, Tom and I agreed on a price and a few items that needed repair at a local RV repair facility. We have the rig now and are very happy with it. Tom and his assistants did everything they promised and we are both happy with our deal.
While I was working on the paper work on Tom’s office I noticed that he is a big supporter of the Boys and Girls Club. Another big plus in my book!

When my wife and I were ready to buy an RV, we went to several big dealers in Southern California. I walked out of one dealership when they refused to give me terms and interest rate on a loan. Another wanted to charge $ 3,000 for pre-​delivery inspection. The high pressure tactics and cheesey sales guys left a really bad taste.
So I eventually did my own research on-​lline and narrowed down to the exact model RV I thought I wanted (Newmar Bay Star). I then decided to only negotiate with dealerships over email. I emailed numerous dealerships around the country for pricing. This is how I ran across Tom Lindstrom. He gave me the best price of any dealership right over email. We then talked over the phone and he answered all my questions and explained there were no hidden fees and told me his price for extended warranty (which was half of anyone else). I waited a few weeks before making the 1.5 hour drive to his dealership and he never bugged me. The other dealership I had contacted were emailing and calling me every other day.
So we got to the small dealership and Tom personally showed us the coaches and again, no pressure at all. He has a very small staff and they were extremely pleasant and helpful – and they are not commisioned so there is no motivation to upsell anything. After a long test drive, we then made the decision to purchase and with a quick signature and handshake, he threw a for sale sign on the coach. He didn’t even make us wait around for the credit check.
We came back a week later for pick-​up. Tom suggested we take the train so we wouldn’t have an extra car and they picked us up at the train station. Tom even booked us two nights in Malibu to try out our new RV. The final paperwork was again very quick and he didn’t try to upsell anything. He offered us an extended warranty, but suggested we think about it and that we had one year to decide. I’ve never seen a dealer do that!
One of Tom’s staff then spent several hours with us going over ever inch of the RV and gave us his cell phone# in case we had any questions later on.
Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about the experience and therefore am giving a full 5 stars for this review.
