ok, the clothees we used to buy in CT was much nicer than the items down here but they are pretty good.

Not really a fan of this TJMaxx. I visited this location and they literally had nothing in my opinion. It may have been because I went on a Monday, after the weekend and holiday crowds, but I was still not very impressed. The store didn’t have as much as other TJMaxx stores I have frequented. Maybe they will be a little better the next time I go.

Honestly, up until the other week, I shied away from TJ Maxx; however, I was desperately in need of some dressy-not-to-high-heeled shoes & decided to look at TJ Maxx’s selection. While I am not a fan of sorting through stacks & racks to find anything, thankfully, the shoe area was pretty organized by shoe size. I was pleasantly surprised at the brands TJ Maxx carries: Nine West, Guess, Calvin Klein, Etienne Aigner(which is the pair I purchased). Even nicer was the prices! For the most part the store was clean & neat. The associates were friendly & helpful. I don’t think I will shop here on a regular basis, but if I need something in particular, I will keep them in mind.

I frequent TJ Maxx mostly because of convenience. In Mooresville we have limited fashion choices and driving to Birkdale can prove to be a challenge in and of itself depending upon what time of day you choose to go. Selection is a hit or miss, I don’t know when the shipments come in but I think clothes and shoes get picked over fairly quickly. I have come to believe that either everyone in Mooresville is a size small 0⁄2 and size 6 shoe because I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot if I find something cute that fits. It seems to me if this was the issue purchasing would order more of these sizes. Most department stores make an effort to cater to plus size women but very few have seemed to put an enhanced effort towards small, petite women. My grandmother is a plus size, petite woman and she can’t find anything to fit properly either so go figure. On with the review, homegoods has improved although it’s still not as nice as a Home Goods/Marshalls is. But I believe they are owned by the same company. They have lamps, pictures, chairs, end tables, glasses, silverware and other kitchen odds and ends. They also have dog beds, I did happen to find a nice one for twenty bucks for my fur baby. They have nice linens but I wish they’d get some duvets in. I have been looking for a decent duvet cover for my comforter so I don’t have to go to the laundry mat all the time. They also have a decent selection of handbags and luggage with more high end designers now then they have had in the past. Speaking of designers if you’re lucky you might stumble across Laundry, Seven for all Mankind, BCBG and Juicy Couture. The men’s department is more limited and they don’t have shoes. I haven’t shopped much in the children’s section but I have found some really cute baby things for baby showers(Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Carter). They have a decent little jewelry counter with mostly costume jewelry but a few high end watches. Service is blahhh. They could ask the dressing room nazi to calm down a little bit. She seems to always be there every time I go. Not the friendliest lady in the world but she means well. It would be nice if for once she’d make me feel like a customer instead of a criminal every time I try something on though. She has to recognize me by now.

This TJ Maxx is newly rebranded and replanned, with an awesome variety of purses for next to nuthin’, boutique toiletries, beautiful boutique baby/children’s clothes and furniture as well as gifts, great deals on high quality cookware and clothes for your body and bed. It’s organized and clean and there are always lots of employee on the floor keeping things pleasantly organized. A great place to find gifts, prizes for events, adorable and affordable kid’s outfits and a good selection of books and toys.
