My name is Scott Hastings and I’m a Mortgage Consultant with Movement Mortgage. I got started as a mortgage broker in 2003 after a career in the Investor Relations industry. When I bought my first home I talked to banks as well as mortgage brokers in Charlotte, NC, I noticed that I was being treated as more of a commodity than a customer. I decided that the mortgage process should be a personalized, concierge level, service that treats the home buyer as an individual rather than a number.

My tagline is «Listening is the Key to Good Lending» because each clients situation is different. First Time Home Buyers have different needs than clients seeking a Jumbo mortgage for example. Self employed individuals have totally different needs than W2 employees. The mortgage landscape is constantly evolving so myself and my team put every effort into ensuring that you are treated as a special customer and your needs are served at all times.

I am a native of Charlotte North Carolina and attended East Carolina University. I joined Movement Mortgage in 2012 and have worked in almost every area of the mortgage industry. My wife Stacey is a Dressage Trainer in Mooresville, NC and my daughter Lily is a student at Pine Lake Prep. We live in Davidson, have 3 dogs and are avid Crossfitters.
