The food here is delicious, the portions more than generous and the fresh ingredients all come together to make you feel as though you had prepared the meal yourself. The staff is friendly and accommodating of special requests and dietary needs. A wide variety to choose from and the quality, service and flavor are all consistently excellent! Prices can’t be beat.

Fantastic, true Italian food. Everyone that walks in gets asked, «what can I do for you my friend»? Nice family run business, with traditional home cooking. I had one of the sandwiches and it wasn’t pre-made, it was made to order and it was fantastic! Great for pickup and go food, but if you want to sit and have a quick meal they have about 6 sets of tables that sit 4 each.

Food is great but the guy who runs the place isn’t a «people person» to say the least. Was a regular over there but after a few issues with some of my orders the guy would argue and yell at me like i wasnt a paying customer lol long story short I stopped going but I cant lie i sure do miss those chicken sandwiches.

Delicious food made with fresh ingredients by nice people. Small place but huge menu ranging from salads to sandwiches and hot specials that change daily. Reasonable pricing and generous portions. The chicken parm is amazing and the burgers are juicy even when cooked well done.

I was in the mood for a western omelette, so I checked Unilocal, for places nearby. I saw this place had some good reviews, so I figured I’d give it a try. This deli is located super close to me, right off of rt 17 on Moonachie Rd. I drove right past it, while I was looking for it, and I had to make a u-turn, when I realized I drove too far, into a different town. When I finally found the place, parking was a breeze. They have their own parking lot, surrounding the store. I ordered my western omelette to go. The omelette came with home fries and toast. It tasted great. Freshly prepared with crisp veggies. The portion was pretty sizeable. The price wasn’t bad and is comparable to most other delis in this area. I saw from the other reviews, that this is a good old school Italian deli. It definately had that look and feel to it. I want to go back and try some of the Italian dishes and as well as their sandwiches.

The food is excellent. Ordering and paying is a very rushed affair. Biggest complaint however is that they shut off the grill far too early for their closing time and only offer cold subs until close.

Very good spot for traditional Italian food and a few NJ/NY twists to boot, for example the Meadowlands Cheese Steak(Marinara sause and melted mozzarella) the hot bar has some very tasty selections as well, the carbonara tortellini is very good as is the Chicken Parm. Super old school feel and great service. Open at 5am for breakfast but closes by 4:30pm

Before you even take a bite you can already tell the difference in quality. Had my first sandwhich there a few days ago and I was amazed at how it tasted! If your in the area and looking for some good food this is the best place to go.

I usually have instant oatmeal for breakfast, but when I’m craving a little something more, Prova is my go-to choice. My favorite foods from this place are the breakfast items. They’re made fresh after you order. I have occasionally stopped here for lunch, but I’m not wild about the selections. The portion sizes are usually very generous. I haven’t been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered Prova is a pretty small restaurant, but they’ve manage to fit a decent amount of seating without cluttering everything together. It’s well ventilated and kept clean. It’s located along Moonachie Avenue with a big sign and plenty of parking outside. You can’t miss it. Everything is priced decently for an Italian deli. They will even allow reduced pricing for smaller portion sizes. They also accept American Express which is a big plus. I do not have any significant complaints in the service category. I am usually greeted as soon as I walk in and addressed nicely when taking my order. They are known for engaging in small talk with their regular patrons. On occasion, I have noticed they don’t take orders based on who arrived first. The«line» can get a little unorganized during peak hours and someone who arrived afterwards may end getting served before you. Food: 4⁄5 Environment: 4⁄5 Price: 4⁄5 Service: 4⁄5 Overall, there are better lunch options in the area, but Prova is a great spot for eating in the morning.

Real-life Italians preparing authentic Italian food is a recipe for success. It’s the best food in the area, and excellent food overall. There is plenty of seating, and the staff is friendly. I strongly recommend going to this place for breakfast or lunch!

Had the best cheese steak sandwich yesterday for lunch! Hot and gooey with cheese, just right amount of peppers and onions.
