Rachel is a proud member of SAG-​AFTRA, NARAS (The Grammy Awards), VASTA, NATS (Certified), NJMEA, NAfME, MAC, BMI, The NJ Theatre Alliance, & is also a Certified Artist Developer with Conquer Entertainment.

History

Established in 2005.

Rachel Menconi is a SAG-​AFTRA actress, international recording artist (8+ yrs), writer (15+ yrs), director (9+ yrs), & technique teacher to children-​teens-​adults (13+ yrs). She first taught voice & acting at a musical theatre school from 2002 – 2004. In 2005, she opened her home voice & acting studio & currently teaches 20+ private students, 3 different group classes, & offers many workshops periodically in NJ & NYC.

Whether working with a private lesson or a group class (small by design), Rachel is able to focus on each student’s individual needs & develop their skills (singing-​acting-​performance) at a comfortable pace. Each student is taught slightly differently to accommodate their personal learning style. This helps each student grow as a performer at their own pace. Rachel challenges each student without intimidation & without taking away the part of them that makes each student unique! Students come from all walks of life but they all want to be the best at their chossen craft.

Menconi has been teaching voice/​acting to children, teens, & to adults for 13+ yrs. She has been performing for 20+ years, 20+ yrs of Bel Canto vocal training, 12+ yrs of musical theatre training, & 10 yrs of acting training (Theater/​Camera). She has starred in 40+ musicals, 20+ Off-​Broadway cabarets, has directed, produced, written, and starred in one woman shows, two women shows, & touring music revues. She is a National Association of Teachers of Singing certified member, Grammy member, North American Music Teachers Association member, MAC member, BMI member, & has 15+ years of song writing experience.

She originated Antigone in Oedipus: the musical and is the President/​Founder of both Sunshine Face Productions & Sunshine Face music publishing. She has also worked and performed with many people in the business including Grammy, Tony, & Emmy Award Winners/​Nominees. She has had many wonderful experiences singing to sold out crowds & has been honored with many standing ovations!
