History

Established in 2006.

Security Alarm Guru started as a website that I managed in my spare time devoted to assisting other professionals in the low voltage industry. It held, and still does, over 6 gigs of security-​fire system documentation as well as other tools and calculators that are used in the industry.

While watching what the security industry was becoming, I finally decided that enough is enough; Customers need to have an alarm company that has experience with actual alarms, and not just the lick em’ and stick em’ wireless systems that many alarm companies want you to buy.

So I Started SAG Consulting. We still have a simple web presence; Now more focused on giving our current and potential customers information. Now you can get information, download your user guide, read the Monitoring Agreements and Terms, and even log into your alarm monitoring account.

I have been in the Electrical field since the age of seventeen. During my time in the U.S. Army I was a Communications Specialist where I worked in Tactical Communications, Information Management, and Communication Security. After leaving active duty of the Military, I entered into the Security Industry where I was hired by a company in Western Washington to design and install an FM Communication Network on new and exsiting Security and Fire Alarm Controls. During that time I made it a point to begin learning everything I could about security and fire alarm systems. I have spent the rest of my time since then continuing my education in the Electronic Notification Industry, where I have been recognized as the «go to guy» for Burglar Alarms, Fire Alarms, Surveillance Systems, Commercial Audio, Automation Systems, Access Control Systems, and Structured Cabling.
