h and r block’s website is very easy to use and allowed me to search first by location then available appointment times. this small, one room, multi-​cubicle office space is situated within the sears, and is open whenever sears is.
the three ladies working there at 7 pm on april 11 were really helpful, efficient, thorough and sweet. despite the fact that it was april 11^th. and 7 pm; yes, i know — i am a procrastinating piece of crap. even though i arrived 10 minutes early, the tax professional with whom i had an appointment worked with me right away. and when she had a question or was unsure about my filings, the other tax professional there who was available was attentive in assisting us.
i brought in the necessary paperwork (last year’s tax return, my w-​2 and 1099 forms) and walked out barely an hour later with not a care in the world. well, minus the 200 beans i spent there (due to out of state filing).
