Ordered three different beers, each time the waitress returns to say ‘I’m sorry, we don’t have that’. I finally say«any red ale». No go. Then I ask for an IPA and there was something wrong with that Keg. I then ordered a Coke because I wanted to be done with the process. We ordered an appetizer and it took 20min and I only got it then because I complained that I had not gotten them. Another person in our party order one of their«signature drinks» call an Irish flag and it was not even made with the right liquors. Our waitress didn’t have a clue about the menu either. While the manager came by to try and pacify me however it was too late. The waitress also had to return twice to ask what each person had on their tab. Horrid service. I will never return.

Great food. Tonya had the Shepards Pie, me the Bangers and Mash. We also had the Irish Spring Rolls as an appetizer. Ms. Jennifer waited on us, great lady, great waitress. Two stories, tucked into an old building, just like Pubs should be.

Super friendly waiter and bartender. Food was absolutely fantastic. Charming quaint little pub with a cozy atmosphere. Southern sweet tea is perfect. Wish I lived close to this place, it would be, at minimum, a weekly visit probably more! Monday night is 50% off for military-best mil discount I’ve ever seen!

Great food! The environment and dining experience was good. The Shepard’s pie was amazing

Fantastic fish and chips served by a super nice staff. Guinness tasted great but was not served in a pint glass, which I found odd for an Irish pub.

The food took forever, but we had a big group so I guess that’s understandable. The menu was kind of meh so I ordered the fish and chips to be safe. The fish is HUGE and came out super hot but it wasn’t very well seasoned(it tasted like nothing). Beer was cold and fresh… service was acceptable since we had 3 waitresses coming and going. Location is nice. I can tell that Montgomery is really trying in making downtown nice.

Too bad I didn’t read the reviews before dining at this sub-standard establishment. Irish Bred makes a very poor attempt at Irish cuisine, not to mention, an even poorer attempt at service. The«Shepherd’s Pie» was a pile of potatoes and crusted cheese on top of a few chewy pieces of ground beef. The BBQ chicken is so covered in toppings, it should come with an archaeologist to uncover the actual meat. The reuben rolls are tough and chewy enough to pass as reuben flavored gum. Our waitress had apparently checked about 75% of her brain at the door before showing up to work that day as well. When I asked what entrée she would recommend, she just described an item that another member of our party had already ordered. Not to mention, she forgot to bring our beer and salad until we reminded her that we had, in fact, ordered those things. And the flow of the restaurant was set up so poorly that our table kept getting bumped into — often times by our own waitress. And it was just a cherry on top of the whole melted ice cream cone that light bulbs were burned out all around the place. All I would nominate this restaurant for is to be on an episode of «Restaurant Impossible.» I’d rather make the 3-hour drive down to the panhandle of FL to go to McGuire’s for some quality food and reliable service than go back to this sorry excuse of a restaurant.

The food was good but way over priced. Trivia night was a hoot. Get your friends together and try to win some gift cards.

The only thing that came out in a timely manner was my hard cider. And even then it could have been delivered to the table about 10 minutes earlier. The food was tasty, but was sooo slow getting to the table. If we weren’t hungry or had an unhappy toddler with us, then it wouldn’t have been so painful. Thankfully there was only three other families in the restaurant… with kids… so that didn’t seem to be a huge issue. The little kids are for free today, so that was a bonus. If there is no other place to eat, then we will go back, but won’t be my first choice.

Went here with a group of 10 friends. Considering how most of the lower and upper levels were empty, the hostess was completely lost trying to seat us. We ended up going to the upper level ourselves and finding our own seating… food and drink service was fine. However, when we went to check out, it took the waiter 30 minutes to figure out our checks! I will only go here again if I am not in a hurry to do anything after eating. Slow service!

Came here with a group of 10 from work for the Military Monday. No wait to get seated. Server was extremely friendly, but there were a few times when she disappeared. Not really her fault, but it did extend our wait for checks. Food was pretty awesome. Had spinach dip, chips with salsa/queso, and the Reuben egg rolls. I don’t even like Reubens, but the egg rolls were awesome. They were having Oktoberfest specials, so I tried the pork schnitzel. It tasted good, but it wasn’t like a traditional German schnitzel. Still worth it. Tried the fish and chips, yum! Cole slaw was a good southern cole slaw. Topped it all off with the key lime pie, which was very rich. A friend had the Guinness BBQ chicken, aside from the small portion, it was tasty. Environment was good, but we were cold. No noise complaints for a Monday night. The only problem we had was at the end paying the checks. Some of them were for the wrong amounts and took a long time.

Had to ask for service… Flat beer… wilted salad. When the food got to us it wasn’t long after I was reminded of food I ate in basic training…

I have eaten here 8 – 10 times over the past year or so and joint seems to be losing its luster each trip. Waiter was a bit slow and the band was way too loud. We had shrimp boxty for appetizer and it was good, but not enough for four. I had fish and chips. It seems to devolved from last couple of times. Large Piece Of fish that was seasoned well. The fries(chips) were a tad greasy. Daughter 1 had grits and shrimp which had an odd pasty taste to it. Daughter 2 had shepherds pie that she turned her nose up on, but that I thought was delicious. Both are nearly grown. Wife had grilled bar B Q chicken that she liked. It was not their best effort but we will give them another try soon and hope the deficiencies have been approved upon.

Great location food isn’t bad… ! Beer is cold and some of the bar tenders even know how to pour a Guinness! They need a better selection of Irish Whiskey… Other than that maybe some Irish sing along music… ! I like it!

Went for Irish food with a friend. He took me to Irish Bend. Was told they had good food; was not disappointed. I had the Reuben and fries, both were good. The had a nice location with easy parking. Inside was clean and authentic.

This place is a bar, so expect bar quality food. I’ve gotten the fish and chips and the shannon chicken sandwich. Both were alright — nothing phenomenal, but definitely not terrible. Trivia on Wednesday nights is fun. However, the website says it starts at 6, the people say it starts at 6.30, but the trivia guy doesn’t start getting things going until 6.45.

So having an Irish last name, having vacationed in Ireland for 2 whole weeks and having lived in Boston for 4 years recently, I hold the bar pretty high for what an Irish Pub/Restaurant should be like. This is the best that Montgomery has to offer, but it’s not a great Irish Pub/Restaurant by any means. Pros: Offering an Irish/British themed menu, new restaurant that feels modern, having balcony patio seating, being a three level(though small layout) restaurant, being downtown. Cons: Mediocre food, most of their live bands don’t play Irish music. Suggestions to the owner: Start offering a traditional Irish breakfast at brunch time on weekends.

I had high hopes for this restaurant when I saw it, but was really disappointed by the food(I should have look it up on Unilocal before dining here). It is in a great location, and has a great look. Wait staff were adequate in speed and service for lunch. I ordered a Reuben, which was terrible. The bread was burned, the corned beef was bland(in an Irish pub, really?), the sauerkraut was over cooked and had no bite, I don’t know what kind of cheese they used(Velveeta or a white American maybe?) but it was not Swiss, and there was only a hint of Thousand Island. The only saving grace is they didn’t put mustard on it. On another note, I ordered the coleslaw, and that was pretty good. I could see stopping in here after work for a pint or two, but I would not recommend the food.
