A.I.R. is an eco-friendly landscaping company that saves homeowners and property managers from the noise and harmful effects of landscaping companies that use gas lawn equipment and pesticides.

We use commercial grade battery-powered lawn equipment that is charged by solar panels as well as apply natural, organic products to lawns.

History

Established in 2011.

The birth of A.I.R. started when our founder was working for a small landscaping company on a scorching «Code Red» day in Darnestown, MD.

After becoming irritated at the excessive amount of smog and the loud noise the company’s gasoline string trimmer exerted and the amount of gasoline the company was putting into their machines on a daily basis, he thought, «There’s got to be a better way!»

The better way? A.I.R. (Atmosphere Improvement and Renewal). A full service sustainable landscape management company for commercial and residential property managers and owners. Since our inception we have been committed to taking care of properties in the most sustainable manner possible.

We have received industry recognition for our innovative and sustainable methods whether it would be the electric equipment charged with solar panels that we use or our natural, organic lawn care program.

Our mission is simple, to improve and renew the atmosphere people breathe in.

My wife and I used A.I.R. for the first time in the fall of 2015. We contracted for two visits, separated by several weeks, in order to control the extremely high volume of leaf fall into our front and back yards. We were extremely pleased with the service. The company owner first came to our home, surveyed the size of the yards, took photographs, then came back to us with a price quotation, which we found to be reasonable. The team arrived on time on both occasions, and — most importantly, because this was one of the principal reasons why we engaged A.I.R. — the leaves were removed using battery-powered equipment, which is far less noisy and pollution-generating than the nasty, two-stroke gas-powered leaf blowers. Our yards were completely cleared of leaves on both occasions, and the ground surface was not disturbed as it frequently is by the extraordinarily high-velocity wind force of the gas-powered units. The A.I.R. team left our property in good condition, and — as an unexpected treat — they left us a jar of vinaigrette salad dressing that one of their other clients had provided to them. Zack Kline, the owner of A.I.R., is a personable young man who is dedicated to environmentally-sensitive leaf control. We look forward to a long relationship with this company.

A.I.R. has been providing me exceptional service for a couple of years. They are an eco-friendly business, which is important to me. There are real and tangible benefits to their model. For instance, when they do Fall leaf removal, they use blowers powered by battery packs charged from solar power. These blowers are remarkably clean and quiet, in contrast to the typical gasoline powered blowers, used by most services, that are noisy and dirty. Further, as they remove the leaves, they mulch them and compost them. In the Spring they deliver bags of your composted leaves to be applied in your garden.

We were so happy to have met Zack Kline of A.I.R. Lawncare. He had volunteered his services for a school courtyard renovation project where I too was volunteering. Knowing that he uses solar-powered equipment and an all organic protocol (not watered down pesticides and called natural), we can now walk on our lawn the day it’s treated and not worry about our dog or grandchildren being exposed to harmful chemicals. Our lawn is one in the neighborhood that folks comment on as to how good it looks.

A.I.R. Lawn Care has cared for my lawn for several years now. The service has always been efficient and, as advertised, environmentally friendly. The mowers he uses provide an exceptional cut, with the added bonus that they don’t make much noise (because they’re battery powered!). These are NOT puny electric mowers that struggle to get the job done. A.I.R. mowers are gigantic beasts that can tackle any project (my lawn has that thick Zoysia grass). I highly recommend this company’s service, particularly if you have an aversion to the roar of a gas-powered mower.

Recommended A.I.R. Lawn care to my parents in Potomac for them to try it out. The reason being, all of A.I.R.‘s equipment is solar powered! Their price is a little bit higher than the traditional companies, but well worth it to be environmentally friendly. Their customer service is great too if you don’t like the original lawn cut he gives you!
