History
Established in 2005.
I began working in this space as the «solo stylist» surrounded by «New Brow» art during one of it’s many incarnations as the Outer Edge Studio. After 2 amazing years of packed gallery shows every six weeks, I was given first option and took over the lease at 146 Bonifacio Place.
I knew the next natural step was to grow my business and add one more station (meeting the maximum amount of stations I could add to the space according to Monterey County «water rights».) and invite a team member to join me in my new and first endeavor.
I was fortunate enough to meet a promising young man still in beauty school that piqued my interest and convinced me to wait for him to finish his studies while I began the redecorating process.
Once on board we began to work together educating and honing our craft.
I can honestly say I have never worked so hard or been so rewarded in my whole life.
Today the evolution continues with new team members and endless possibilities!
Meet the Business Owner
Diana H.
Business Owner
Diana fell into the world of hairstyling as a way «out» of the conventional high school experience, having the opportunity to go to beauty school and begin a career as a stylist while working her way toward graduation. Luckily, it turned into a passion and an incredible journey which to this day, some twenty years later continues.
Diana has consistently sought out, stumbled on, and trained with some of the most amazingly talented geniuses of the trade to include;
Horst Rechelbacher, Founder of Aveda and recipient to many prestigious awards over the course of his career.
David Adams, master haircolorist.
Antionette Beenders, creative cutting goddess.
DJ Freed and the talented team at Key Lime Pie.
The team at the Sassoon Academy.
The group at Wella Proffessional and
Deva Concepts, just to name a few.
Diana’s latest endeavor, «Salon Beija Vu» has perhaps been her greatest learning experience as she welcomes new talent in developing their skills and continuing to develop her own.
