My first impression when walking in the door was that the lady up front was very rude, frustrated that i even came into her store in the first place and the place was reaking of cigarettes. when asked how long my dress uniform would take and she replied«I dont know maybe in a couple of days.» No business should run like this. How do you not know who long two pieces of clothing would take? especially if your advertising 1 hour dry cleaning.

IFYOUVALUEYOURCLOTHES, THENSTAYAWAY!!! I went here on the recommendation of a friend as he had had such great service. When I entered I noticed military dress uniforms hanging with perfect creases… a good sign. I laid out my clothes; some blouses, slacks, a couple of sweaters and two dresses. One of the dresses was a custom made Thai silk dress I had made while living overseas. I explained what it was made of(as I have at other cleaners) just to be sure that the proper care was taken. I was mildly annoyed when they detached the liner of one blouse and said they would have to charge me for two items. What? I have never had that issue with this blouse before, but whatever. I was told my laundry would be ready the next afternoon. Perfect. I return the next afternoon. No laundry. Was given a story about some employee just didn’t feel like it. What? THREEDAYSLATER my laundry is FINALLY done. When I got it home I noticed there were wrinkles pressed into my slacks. Not worth going back for. But then, I unwrapped my silk dress. Immediately I noticed that the silk was rough and dull. My heart sank. I put it on. It was no less than 3 inches shorter than when I turned it in. I knew the dress was ruined. I brought it back. I was told that it was exactly as it was before I dropped it off. I produced a fabric scrap which clearly showed it was not. I was then told there was nothing they would do about it, but I could send in the dress and fabric scrap to see if the company agreed that they had damaged the dress. That process takes about 3 months. What??? It is clear that they pressed it, on too high a heat on the font side of the fabric. Exactly what you do if you are trying to ruin silk. So now my most favorite dress, which has been dry cleaned no less than 20 times in the past, hangs in my closet RUINED. I have no way of replacing it short of flying to Thailand, hoping the small company I bought the silk from still has the same color, then flying to Vietnam where my seamstress is to see if she could reproduce the ruined, dull, sandpapery, shrunken dress. I will NEVERNEVERNEVER go back.

I see this place has gotten some negative reviews, but I honestly don’t know why. I’m in the military and I’ve taken my dress uniforms here two or three times and they’ve always done a great job. After my last experience with them, I literally signed up for a Unilocal account just to leave them a positive review. I accidentally washed one of my field uniforms with a micro plush blanket and got it absolutely covered in blue fuzz. I was pretty convinced the uniform was ruined and took it there as a last resort. They spent 4 extra hours on my uniform and it’s as good as new. Additionally, they also finished all my other dry cleaning and some alterations I requested on time. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Lady at the front is always friendly and goes out of her way to help and be supportive. I lived here in PG for two years and this place was the easiest to drop off and pick up on the way home from work. The always did the military uniforms to perfection and regular dress shirts and slacks always well done. If I come back here to Monterey I’ll go back One Hour Martinizing. Semper Fi

First impression: I called them on the telephone to find out how soon a garment would be ready. The conversation went as follows: «Martinizing One Hour „ “… Hi, I was wondering how long it would take for a suit jacket and a pair of pants to be cleaned.» «Tomorrow.» ”… about what time tomorrow.“ at this point there was an annoyed sigh. «Like… noon.» «Ok, thank you.» «Ya. *hung up the phone*» Needless to say after reading the above review and my telephone experience, I didn’t choose to use their services.

don’t ever take your laundry here. Everything is washed in hot water, with tons of starch. the staff is consistently fighting amongst themselves. I took mine here for a while and they always loose socks, don’t fold the laundry well just kind of stack it. the lady at the counter stinks like cigarettes. It is just a bad business. I feel bad for the old lady who owns it but her staff doesn’t care. I hate writing bad reviews but i’m packing for a trip took my laundry there and i might as well have thrown it away. There have just been too many good clothes ruined by this place. too bad as it is close to me and the price isn’t bad. will have to look elsewhere now

The Good: My clothes were clean, they got out the stains(see below), and they didn’t have the nasty chemical smell that some of the dry cleaners can end up giving your clothes. Also, they can do stuff overnight if you get it in early enough. The Bad: More expensive than expected. I took in 8 items and the bill was $ 60, averages out to $ 7.50 a piece. The dry cleaner I went to in Salinas before I moved was more like $ 3 a piece. Even worse was that when they got the stain out of one of my dresses, they also got a lot of the color out. Now there is a large patch on the front that is a lot lighter than the rest of the dress. Finally, the parking lot can get pretty tight right after work.
