Just waited outside this store for 10 minutes after they were supposed to open 20 minutes prior to that! Still no one there!

No hoops jumped through for this Unilocaler! Today was my and my gf’s 3^rd visit to this location. New to the area a few months ago, stopped by to get some vitamins and Protein and was greeted by a super knowledgeable and professional consultant named Travis. Obviously a weight trainer himself, Travis is very passionate about this subject, projects nothing but confidence and expertise, and educates you in the correct manner. Results have been very noticeable and thanks to him I’ve been able to reap the most from the fruits of my labor. Travis is definitely an asset to this location and I would consider him a diamond in the rough compared to other consultants at this company and other companies I’ve shopped at in the past. I, like the other Unilocaler, was set up with the «Gold Card,» which its benefits are greatly appreciated, but this is not the reason for my returning visits. Definitely a returning customer due to him, but I thoroughly set my shopping standards on service, not price. Thanks Travis for your continued efforts to make my shopping experience educational and appreciated. See ya in a month!

I always buy my PROTEIN POWDER here at GNC, and I always get: «GNC Pro Performance AMP amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60» — vanilla flavor. Wow, that is a mouthful! It is a very lowfat, high quality protein powder, that I use to mix in with ice, soy-​milk, & half a banana and blend to make a very healthy and tasty shake that my muscles love! (Sometimes I add berries if I got them, or peanut butter if I am looking for something to stick to my ribs a bit more). This powder itself is 60 g. of protein for 1 serving = 3 scoops. Here is a pic of my concoction in progress:
So a 3 lb tub of the subject protein powder (mentioned above) regularly cost about $ 76 (quite expensive). However, GNC always has a «Buy-​one, get the 2^nd one half-​off» deal going on, so I always buy two at a time to get the best deal. Also I always save an additional 20% because I only buy during the first week of the month (read on for more details why this is).
GNC Gold Card Membership cost $ 15 for a year period, and it gives you 20% off your purchase the day you join, and during «Gold Card Week» which is the first 7 days of each month. So in other words only shop here at the 1^st of the month if you are a member. Kind of a strange concept, but you will get used to it.
So, instead of paying about $ 150 for two 3 lb. tubs of protein powder, it usually costs me about $ 100 for both, with both savings mentioned.
This particular GNC is conveniently located at the Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey and I have experienced nothing but very friendly service here. I have been to many GNC’s and they are all very similar.
I’m not a big fan of marketing gimmicks and special sales in order to get the FAIR price for a product… uh hmm «Gold Card Week», …but I put up with this at GNC because their product that I buy («GNC Pro Performance AMP amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60» protein powder) is worth it!!!
Try drinking REAL homemade protein shakes (not the crap they try to pass off as a protein shake at a Jamba Juice)! They are so delicious and your muscles will thank you! :)
