I took my baby Lola to Aguajito Vet Hospital for some scratching problems she was having and they were so great. I was really worried about finding someone I trusted, but the experience was fantastic. Vanessa at the front desk was so sweet and the rest of the staff was amazing as well. The doctor made sure to explain everything and made sure I left with no questions. Overall, a great vet and I would highly recommend.

Awesome service. On our first day of vacation we got a call that our dog had trauma to his eye. The folks here were wonderful. They saved his eye and provided wonderful care and boarding overnight.

My Dad has been bringing his Shih-​Tzus to see Dr. Williams for years, and so when I moved here, I brought my Shih-​Tzu, Stormy there. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, and Dr. Williams is super sweet and she liked him a lot.
She had to go in last week for shots and exam, and since Dr. W was out of town, she saw Dr. Haley Barno. I think they fell in love with each other! Dr. Barno, and the assistant (can’t remember her name), that Stormy, who NEVER takes treats from anyone but myself and my Dad, actually took treats from both of them!
When we moved I was a little nervous that we wouldn’t find a vet that we liked as much as her old one, but we definitely did and couldn’t be happier!

Love this place! Took our little dog in for some shots and a check up They are so sweet and gentle with him! This will now be our permanent vet. The Dr is wonderful and all the staff is friendly and helpful Tucker and I both had a wonderful experience. I highly reccomend!

We have used Aguajito Veterinary Hospital for many years for many pets. Unlike some other veterinarians in the area, Aguajito always gets you an appointment quickly when you need one for a pet in distress. Their people are all very helpful and we always feel our pets are getting the best care that they can get in the area. Dr. Williams has been there a long time; he is an excellent vet and very easy to work with. They also have a walk-​in shot clinic on Saturdays with reasonable prices. Their newest veterinarian, Dr. Haley Barno, is a wonderful lady who instantly makes you feel comfortable — she is a good addition to the staff. I always recommend Aguajito Veterinary Hospital to others needing pet care, even though other veterinarians /​clinics may be closer.

Dr. Tom has a true passion for animals; you can tell the moment he starts working with your dog. My very small dog had been bitten by a large dog and I was really scared; he made me feel confident my dog was going to be just fine, which he is. Thank you!!!

Dr William’s and his staff are the best! They care for both the patient and their owners! I have been bringing my dogs here for over 15 years and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.

The workers at this place are really compassionate people. I found a squirrel hit on the road this morning and it was still alive so I took it to them. It was so sad and struggling. They weren’t really open yet and the doctor hadn’t arrived so the girl at the front desk and another vet aide called the doctor to see if they could help it or at least give it a compassionate death. He said yes. They placed it in a cage with a blanket and it was resting at least instead of hit and run and struggling on the street with cars driving over it. I was really amazed to see how kind these folks were. I have so much faith in mankind this morning.

We’ve been at Aguajito for almost two years now so we’ve had several things taken care of by Dr. Williams. Routine exams, surgery, and even a euthanasia. We absolutely love Dr. Williams. He is so full of wisdom and genuinely cares about my animals. As far as his staff it has been hit or miss. The office staff seems a little unorganized most of the time, Also, there used to be a front desk girl that was blatantly rude but I don’t think she’s there anymore. All in all Dr. Williams’ expertise is well worth the little bit of disorder at the front desk.

We called in for a routine check up and they were able to book us on the same day. Fast and friendly!

I have been a client at Aguajito Veterinary Hospital for nearly 35 years. All of our pets have been cared for by Dr. Williams and his staff. Today I took my 19, going on 20 year old dog in for a check. When she turned 19 we had decided to no longer give her vaccinations or veterinary visits unless necessary. However, we discovered she may have tape worms and a skin infection so off we went. Our experience, as always, was pleasant from the moment we walked in. The front desk staff are kind and friendly, our technician was very experienced and kind with my old girl. Today we saw Dr. Haley Barno who gently and thoroughly examined my dog. We loved her immediately. We left with proper medications and a wonderful feeling that our girl was very well taken care of.
Now at home my girl has received her medicated bath and her oral medications and I can tell she feels better already. She is bright and perky and for that I am so grateful to Aquajito Veterinary Hospital. Thank you guys.

Aguajito Veterinary Hospital took care of our fur babies for years. We moved to Prunedale and temporarily switched vets. We switched back when our cocker spaniel’s skin condition could not be diagnosed. Dr. Kelly quickly diagnosed and no more skin condition. I will drive the 60 minutes round trip to ensure that our dogs are cared for by Dr. Kelly.

We have been taking our cats here for years, and have received prompt and wonderful care for them. If we brought a cat in for something other than routine check-​ups, they always call the next day to see how things are going after the treatment. Dr. Williams and others who have treated our cats have been very knowledgeable, professional and caring. We also appreciate the rest of the staff very much.

I have been going to Aguajito Veterinary Hospital with my dogs for years. I have had wonderful experiences with all of the veterinarians there. Dr. Williams and Dr. Kelly are both wonderful, knowledgable practitioners. The technicians are awesome, the receptionists are friendly. The entire staff always goes above and beyond to the needs of my puppies. They will even take time to play with my dogs and give them treats to make them more comfortable.

Our beloved cat died while under the care of Dr. Williams. We took him in on a Wednesday after we noticed he had stopped eating and was lethargic. My first impression of Dr. Williams was not a good one. He seemed tired and irritable and only mumbled lowly when he spoke. It was difficult to understand what the problem with our kitty was because Dr. Williams spoke almost apathetically about his condition. He told us (from what I could gather) «You have a sick cat. He has an enlarged heart and has fluids in his chest». I asked how serious it was and if it could be treated? He seemed unsure and said they were going to get a sample of the fluid to have it analyzed and send the X-​rays to a heart specialist for further evaluation. I asked if we should worry about out cat dying because he hadn’t eaten or had water for almost 2 full days. He said «cats need water more than they need food», but didn’t offer an IV or any remedy to get our kitty fed or hydrated. And that was it. He took our cat to remove the fluid (how much, I don’t know) and had his assistant bring him back to us and set an appointment with a heart specialist for the following Wednesday. When I told his assistant I had lots of questions, she said the doctor «just stepped out» and would call us back so he could answer any questions. He never called us. They sent us home with our very sick cat and had us bring him back the following day to start his medication. Again, the doctor was unavailable. After another night of not eating and looking very frail, we called Dr. Williams’ office to ask what we could do about food and hydration. They asked us to bring him in again and finally gave him IV fluids and gave us some food and syringes to feed him with [WHICH THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE FROM THE START]. This was all for nothing. Our kitty died that night while we slept, most likely from heart failure. We’ll never know because Dr. Williams NEVER explained to us anything about his condition or what his chances were. Everything we learned about «enlarged hearts» and «fluids in the chest» we had to find on the internet. We are devastated by the loss of our kitty, who was like a member of the family. We now wonder if he might still be alive had we gone elsewhere, or at least died with a little more dignity and with a chance to say goodbye. Dr. Williams NEVER ONCE told us how serious the problem was [or might be], leaving us thinking that our cat might recover. He never offered any solutions to keep our kitty fed and hydrated (until we asked for a third time) and the front office staff seemed disinterested and unprofessional. There was no communication whatsoever. When I called to cancel the heart specialist appointment after our cat’s death, they apologized for our loss, but 2 hours later they called to ask how our kitty was doing? Absolute worst.

Two weeks ago I adopted my puppy Cooper from the SPCA. The SPCA gave me a paper with a list of veterinarians that would perform a free wellness exam. Aguajito Veterinary Hospital is the first name on the list and pretty close to home. So, I gave them a call. I easily scheduled an appointment on a Saturday, which was great because I work M-​F. Very convenient.
When I arrived to Cooper’s appointment the front desk staff was very welcoming and very friendly and loving with him. When we got into our room it wasn’t to long of a wait for the assistant to come in. I explained to the assistant that Cooper had been dewormed by the SPCA, but was still having tapeworm segments coming out during elimination. I explained my concerns about the tapeworms as he had been sleeping indoors and relaxing on couches for the past week. The assistant eased my paranoia and explained everything I needed to know about tapeworms. She was also very gentle and loving with Cooper, he was happy to have her help him. I also showed her Cooper’s furless patch that was on his face when I adopted him, and she was sure to take note of it and pass the information on the the doctor.
When Dr. Thomas Williams came into the room, right away I knew by the way he interacted with my pup that he has a genuine love for animals. He played with Cooper for a few minutes and let him know that he meant no harm and everything would be okay. He did Coopers wellness exam and clipped his nails too! He then took Cooper to the back and scraped his patch on his face to make sure it wasn’t mites. He brought Cooper back and said it wasn’t mites. He prescribed tapeworm medicine, a topical cream for the patch, and flea/​tick medicine. I was very happy with Dr. Williams’ pleasant attitude and services. He was awesome.
I went into the veterinary expecting to spend at least $ 100 or more because I know taking care of animals health can be expensive. I was so happy to walk out only spending $ 80. Not too bad at all, at least in my opinion.

Deep debt of gratitude to Dr. Thomas Williams (the heart of practice for decades!) and his staff for taking such a good care of my feline companion and me.
I know people grouse about the cost but it is comparable to other facilities in the area. We were there on Friday, and they gave us the Saturday vaccination clinic rates which were lower than SPCA. While my cat was under anesthesia, they gave her a nail trim free of charge. They do all they can for their clients while maintaining a top notch facility in a very expensive market. One reason I made my initial appointment here was because the person who answered the phone actually talked with me instead of trying to tie down an appointment like other places I called.
Dr. Tom has an extensive training (UC Davis,) fellowship, and experience in his field. He and his staff treated us with such kindness and deep spirit of service. When the biopsy for the tumor on the tail came back and he disagreed with the result (melanoma,) he had the lab run a second test, and it came back benign. How many veterinarians out there would go to bat like that?
I truly felt that he valued my cat as much as I. And she knew it! Sometimes I thought she wanted the doctor to take her home! I found out also that he has been involved with rescue of aquatic mammals in the area.
The hospital is spacious and stress on animals would be less (instead of strangers, cats, and dogs being too close to each other) as well as outfitted with an x-​ray machine and surgical suite for full service.
If the cost gets a little too much, they are part of Care Credit (split payments) and also affiliated with Birch Birk Foundation that helps with veterinary cost.
I see some negative reviews here and it must come from being upset about their animals’ having problems. Things don’t always go as we want them, and it’s not fair to blame anyone when things are beyond human control. My experience was that they cared about my animal and cared about me also. Aguajito Veterinary Hospital delivers professional service above standard in my estimate. I wish more people doctors were like Dr. Tom.

Due to the fact that I am new to the area, my dogs were in need of their vaccinations so this place came recommend by my vet from my old city that I moved from. I called and made the appt to have both of my dogs get their shots and its funny cause never did they mention that they charge $ 45 – 50 per dog a annual health fee (according to them they charged this to determine if your dog is healthy in order to get vaccinated) So what I thought would be a simple $ 50 for both dogs turned into well over $ 100… What a joke. Needless to say I will be taking my dogs elsewhere…
