Water Flower Massage

Found this place by Unilocaling it of course! I needed a much deserved massage after a long night shift at work. My neck was tight and so is my budget, don’t get me wrong, I love my usual place but this one cost less and only a 5 min drive from where I was. I called to make sure they would be able to take me at 8:15 on a Friday night and the lady said to come right down… Now looks can be deceiving, looks kinda shady from the outside but once you walk in, it’s like any typical Chinese massage place.
They have several private rooms, however like a typical Chinese massage place, the walls are incomplete, meaning they don’t extend up to the ceiling, that’s why I’m giving the 4 stars because you can hear the front door opening and closing as well as any and all footsteps not to mention any conversations, coming from any of the rooms. And I didn’t like the fact I was asked to pay upfront after the lady asked me if this was my first time but I just went with the flow!
With that being said, Helen was my masseuse and worked out all my knots, which I had many. And to my surprise, she used hot stones towards the end and didn’t not charge me extra for it. Normally this would cost at least an extra $ 5 at other places… So idk if it’s part of the massage… I’ll find out during my next trip.
My advice is to go later in the evening so there’s less noise. There was no one there except the guy in the other room who left right when my session started and the couple who came in at the very end.
Hope this review helps and $ 30 for a full body massage is a bargain!

I was pretty much traumatized by Chinese massage until I went to Water Flower Massage. Usually Chinese massage therapist puts too much force into the massage that I leave feeling more sore instead of relieved. However, the massage therapist at this place gave me the perfect massage for a reasonable (read: cheap) price.
I had a 60-​minute whole body massage, and I pretty much fell asleep a few minutes into the session. I think it really helped that I told my massage therapist in the beginning of the session that I wanted a light massage. It probably also helped a lot that I told her that in Chinese so there wasn’t any misunderstanding. It was definitely the best massage I’ve had for only $ 30. Chalk another point for having walls between individual private rooms instead of just door screens/​partitions between the rooms. I highly recommend this place for others who want massages but don’t want to spend over $ 50 on a session.

I went there last Friday, I found this place here on Unilocal & read all kinds of good reviews so I had to try for myself. I love the fact that it’s close to home for me & I don’t have to drive all the way to San Gabriel like I usually do. When I got there they took care of me right away, I got a private room that I gotta say was very clean & very comfy, also very nice décor. I got the full body massage+foot massage it was $ 35 for an hour & 25mins which I think is a very reasonable price comparing it to the other massage places I’ve been to. I absolutely LOVED my massage, she took her time getting every spot of my body & also used hot stones on my back for no extra charge. The also did a 25min foot massage and it was perfect. Also, I have to mention that I had had a HUGE MIGRANE for a week that would not go away with any pain pills I took, that was the main reason I went to get a massage because I thought my migrane was due to stress… well when I walked out of Water Flower Massage my migrane headache was gone & since then (a week ago) it’s remained gone. I give it 5 stars & I will be faithful to that place from now on:)

This place is GREAT! I loved our 1 hour massage for only $ 30. It looks a bit creepy from the outside and not so pretty. But It’s very clean inside and nicely set up. I would definitely be coming back. I had a couples massage and enjoyed every bit of it. I totally recommend this place! I give it a thumbs up :)

$ 30 for 1 hr full body massage. I’ve gone to my fair share of massage places but this is where I prefer to go to every time now. I’ve found the masseuse who massages me the way I like and I have no plans on going else where as long as she works there.
I will not give out here name as I don’t want to make her too busy for me (yea I’m selfish lol) but I do recommend you guys give this place a try.
cheap, good quality service, and like someone else mentioned you get a cup of tea at the end. I normally take a sip and throw it away, though lol. Normally I tip $ 5 unless I was impressed with their performance i’ll tip $ 10. So far I have not been demanded for more tip at all.

I came to visit this place, it was a great experience. People are so nice in there and the massage took my back and neck pain away. Thanks to my masseuse :) there is a car wash place next to it, it was perfect. My car got a wash while I was getting my massage! Win win!

all the workers are super friendly, respectful and helpful! the place is nice and every room for body massage are seprated with walls, so you can have your own space when u getting a relaxing massage. really great to get all the stress out. $ 30 for a whole hour of massage, nothing that beat that !! i been come to this place for a while. it really helps me a lot. i really recommend to come and check it out.

1^st time here and it was Great! Way better then i expected. Very professional and nice. I will definitely come back especially after a rough workout. Definitely soothed my body and worked out the tension. Price is also reason.

I have been going to this place for over a year now and I love it. I was going once a week for awhile and cut back after I wasn’t so tense. I have gotten massaged by probably most of these ladies, past and present, at one time or another. They’ve used hot towels, utilized ceiling bars to walk on my back for deep tissue massages, and more recently hot stones, which are amazing! In the past you would never find a place that gives FULL BODY massages for under $ 100+. Parts of your body not getting massaged are always covered by a sheet. Oils and lotions are odorless and they wipe it all off with a hot towel. Massages include attention to the back, shoulders, neck, legs, arms, face, & head. They have a frequent visitor card: buy ten, get eleventh free. It does get busy, but they do take phone appointments. 90% of the time I walk in and get someone right away, the other 10% I come back in a hour or so, which is fine.
The rooms are partitioned by thin walls that do not reach the ceiling, thus, you can hear EVERYTHING! I am in awe at how many people complain and what conversations I have heard here:
Once, there was a group of five older ladies that got massages as a group, & at $ 30 each, that’s a deal! I guess there was a problem with tipping and all I heard was one of the ladies reply, «Minimum $ 5.00 each?! No, we give you what we want!» JUST GIVE THE $ 5 ALREADY! After a bit or turmoil, and then reconciliation, she then asks the front counter after accepting the complimentary tea given after the session, «What kind of tea is this, I like it, show me the box, show me the box…»
Another time a man was asking the lady showing him to his room, «I want a nice pretty girl, give me a nice pretty girl…»
Another time a man was asking if they had a shower there…
Another time a man had complained after the massage, after I heard his masseuse ask him if everything was OK, «Next time, I’m going to use the other lady, it’s not your fault, but the other girl and I understand each other more, WHAT LANGUAGE DO YOU SPEAK?»
I always found myself cringing at what my ears had to hear in all these instances, and I am sure there are many more to come.
I admit, there are times where someone is just not a great masseuse… It IS a talent! When you find yourself massaging loved ones, can you actually last an hour let alone a full work day? Massaging is NOT easy work. I have had maybe one or two so-​so massages here, but the rest are amazing and that’s why I keep coming back.
Massage is a luxury. A privilege. People have become so spoiled and demanding to the point where what they ask for too much for the little money they are shelving out. If you can’t tip $ 5/​$ 10, go somewhere cheaper so you can tip better and not cause a ruckus and interrupt someone else’s massage.

The other day I noticed that there was an ad for this place at 2413 Garfield and it shows young very attractive Asian women… giving deep sensual massages. The ad looks like it was trying to imply that this was a «happy» ending massage place. Not sure if business is slow and they want to attract more business but the women I seen at this place are not very attractive and you wouldn’t want to pay for a happy ending here even if they were giving you big discounts. I’ll knock this place down a star because I think they are false advertising.

Massage was decent. Can’t complain when it’s $ 35 for 60 mins body + 20 min foot massage. I’m 7 mo pregnant so she was very soft and slow as I laid one side even though I asked more hard pressure. I think she was a bit timid given my large bump! Place wasn’t dirty but not the cleanest. Run down old building. They prob could have used better smelling oil or at least have candles or oils burning which would have made the experience better.
But annoyed me was that after I paid with credit card I asked her to break a $ 20. Out of courtesy, everyone wants a cash tip. She gave me 2 x $ 10s. The. I asked her to real a $ 10. She gave me 2 $ 5s. After I asked her to break my $ 5 she said she didn’t have any and added that when it’s over an hour massage, you need to tip at least $ 10. All this was said in mandarin. I would have been fine leaving $ 10 if masseuse was really good but was annoyed that she demanded $ 10… I think $ ⁸⁄₉ would have been generous given the lackluster effort and dingy establishment. Won’t come back.

My new go-​to place! 60 minutes of body massage + 20 minutes of foot massage for only $ 35. Small location but the rooms are well divided so its very quiet. I had a very skilled lady during my session and she was able to pinpoint all my trouble areas. Will be back for sure.

Not your fancy luxurious massage parlor but definitely a great deal if you want a good massage. I have gotten both the full body and foot massage and have recommended both to family and friends. Full body requires you to take off everything because they use oil all over. Foot massage actually includes the whole body but fully clothed. They recently raised the foot massage to $ 20. There is a tiny parking lot on the back bit it’s easily missed. Minus 1 star for the overall atmosphere. The interior is a little dingy and I can smell a little mildew. The masseuse are mostly mandarin speaking.

Little wait time! The staff is really friendly and Wendy helped me out with my back pain! Great prices for 1 hour message! Recommend it!

Inexpensive and the people who all work here do a great job. They fixed my shoulder problem, which had been bothering me for two weeks. I usually come here for both the body and foot massage. The prices are reasonable and I referred a lot of people to check this place out They all had great things to say about this place. I highly recommended you to check out this place, it’s next to the car wash and it gets missed easily.

This place is awesome! I love their customer service and how affordable it is! I got into a car accident no long ago and I need massages constantly, not only I feel better but I am able to get away from my busy life and relax once in a while without overpaying. I totally recommend it!

Really cheap and they have a strong masseuse that really beat me up. Really glad I checked it out.
$ 30 for an hour, can’t beat that!
