Came here to get acupuncture for my wife, as well as one for myself. Never had acupuncture done, not sure if it helps overall, but felt refreshed afterwards so I guess it works? Staff was friendly and courteous so I’d come back if I had disposable income to spend on «wellness.»

Dr Lee is awesome. Before coming here I use to see a doctor in the West LA area. The Doctors in the West LA area charged me 4 times more for less effort for Prolotherapy. Dr. Lee is much more attentive and did much more of a detailed job. I was dealing with a c5-​c6 herniated disc. I could move my neck and was in a lot of pain. My HMO wanted to operate on me. After treatments with Dr Lee I am 99% better. No more pain and I can sleep at night. If you have any kind of physical pain including neck and back, try PROLOTHERAPY!

Dr Lee is awesome! I was diagnosed with gastritis and hiatal hernia which caused major problems to my stomach and well being. I was given ppi’s (nexium omeprazole) by other dr’s which seem to make my stomach worse. Found Dr Lee and he gave me natural medicines which helped immediately. I’m no longer on any ppi’s and I feel great. While treating me for my stomach problems he also helped with my joint pain and weight issues. I’m the lightest I’ve been since jr high school and feel great. And I also want to thank Dr Andrea for helping me with my back and wrist pain issues! Thank you Dr Lee and Dr Andrea A+ people

Dr Lee and Optimal Health and Wellness has completely changed my life. I had never heard of naturopathic doctors and had no idea what to expect. I first came in for a groupon of vitamin B12 shots because I was experiencing fatigue and malaise.
I had a consultation with Dr Lee who was kind, smart, patient, and curious. My blood tests confirmed low thyroid hormone and low iron, and Dr Lee put me on supplements which alleviated my fatigue. When he asked about any other concerns, I mentioned my lifelong TMJ which caused chronic jaw pain, headaches, and a severely asymmetrical jawline. Also, I was suffering pain from a previous wrist fracture which had required three surgeries.
Dr Lee introduced me to Dr Andrea, their amazing chiropractor, who treated my jaw and wrist pain for several weeks with great success. She also gave me exercises to improve my forward head and rounded shoulder alignment. My improved posture has done wonders for my well being. Dr Andrea is now giving chiropractic treatment to my autistic sons, which is one of her areas of specialization.
Knowing that I was very self conscious about my asymmetrical jawline, Dr Lee suggested Botox to release the muscles on the tight side of my jaw. In all these years, no one had ever mentioned that my facial asymmetry was treatable. My more properly aligned face has been great for my self confidence.
I could go on about the natural facial for my wrinkles and skin tone, as well as treatments for my c-​section scar, but I’ve only opted for those treatments because my general health and well being are at my optimal level.
I mustn’t forget to mention my lovely ladies at the front desk who are so sweet and helpful, and give me my B12 shots every week.
Oh yes, they accept my Anthem Blue Cross PPO for everything but my cosmetic treatments. I love this place so much.

Took my fiancé here to get his first adjustment ever. Not only was the staff friendly but I felt completely comfortable leaving him in their hands. I’m a doctoral student myself so it was wonderful to see and office with the best equipment and most up to date technology. Moreover, Dr. Wong the chiropractor we saw was wonderful kind and made my fiancé feel totally ready to get adjusted. She was quick and clearly knew what she was doing. Will definitely be back again. Initial Experience:
My experience with Optimal Health began when I inquired with Dr. Wong (their resident chiropractor) about concerns that I had rheumatoid arthritis. She evaluated my hands and knees (where I had complaints of joint pain) and informed me that she was confident I was not suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, but the only way to be certain was to have my blood examined. I was still skeptical that I had it (I didn’t believe her, sorry! haha) so I asked her where I could take such a blood test, and I was glad to find that I could have the blood work done at their facility with Dr. Dien Nguyen (probably the tallest Naturopathic Doctor you will ever meet).
I had blood drawn and returned couple weeks later for Dr. Dien to explain all my results to me. No rheumatoid arthritis! However, I was able to find out I am pre-​diabetic. I was really glad to find out about this while I am still young (25 years old) since diabetes runs in my family. Dr. Dien advised me to cut out sugar and exercise more and have bloodwork done again in a year and take it from there.
Other experiences with chiropractic and acupuncture treatment:
Chiropractic:
I have had chronic knee and ankle pain in my right leg for over 6 months (pain throughout the ENTIRE DAY of about 6.5÷10, very irritating!!). Dr. Wong identified my fibula bone in my right leg was out of place. After one adjustment the pain was considerably reduced. I returned three days later for another adjustment and now the leg almost never bothers me. It seems to be all good now, but I will probably continue making appointments for the next couple of weeks until she is confident it is fully repaired.
Acupuncture:
I come here 1/​week for acupuncture and cupping. Pei Chen is very accommodating, which is important to me when it comes to acupuncture since I am uncomfortable around needles and my body sweats easily. Pei Chen always makes sure to put me in a room with A/​C. There have been times I have gone for treatment and for whatever reason my body is more sensitive to the needles that day, Pei Chen usually picks up on this and will be a little more hasty about the treatment and sometimes even substitute more sensitive points out of the treatment (for example last time I was crying about the needles she skipped needling my ear and used acu-​pressure seeds in my ear instead).
Front Desk:
They are all very nice but I honestly don’t even have to talk to them much since I usually get any appointment time I ask for and then the Dr. is usually ready for me pretty fast the next time I get there.
*****I almost forgot! Last time I was here I forgot my wallet and I owed $ 30 for herbs; they allowed me to take the herbs and just asked that I pay next time. That was pretty cool of them. I’d say that deserves 5 stars.

The pain I’ve had for over a year subsided greatly and this is only after two sessions.
Place is a bit pricey compared to another clinic with great reviews but I’m still happy with the results.
Scratch that part. Their rates are really good. The last time I was there, I noticed they added rooms for more privacy.

I know Dr. Lee personally, but this review is for him as my doctor. Six years ago, I started developing very bad eczema on my face and neck. I spent the next two/​three years seeking treatment from different dermatologists, allergists, hospitals and doing numerous testings and taking different medication, from OTC to prescription, topical to oral to shots. You name it, I’ve treated it. Having the redness and dry patches on my face made me insecure about myself (I’m getting a little teary just writing this.) Anyway, my symptoms would subside and would come back, and I wasn’t really getting better.
Then I met Dr. Lee, and he told me that my condition is 100% treatable and I would be 100% eczema-​free. WHAT?! To be honest, I was a little resistant at first, because ALL the previous doctors and specialists have told and told and told me, there’s no cure for chronic eczema and I would have to rely on cortisol for the rest of my life. At that point, I was brainwashed by all the doctors, and convinced myself that I wasn’t gonna get better ever. When Dr. Lee made such a bold statement, I was really hesitant to believe him. But I decided to try it as my last resort (after my last dermatologist straight up told me there’s nothing he could do for me.)
Dr. Lee took the time with me and diagnosed me as having liver issues and put me on a chemical and heavy metal detox treatment and liver support (all the medication I took before was hurting my liver.) Guess what!!! That was ALL IT TOOK!!! A couple weeks later, my eczema was getting better on its own! I also did an extensive allergy testing with him, and the result confirmed Dr. Lee’s suspicion that I was allergic to some types of food that I ate every day (how funny no previous testing showed detailed enough results.) He then put me on a more balanced diet. A couple months later, my eczema was gone completely. My eczema hasn’t come back in the past four years. Except for some discoloration spots from my old eczema, my face has been clear since then. Of course, I still take good care of my skin and try to eat healthy to maintain my clear skin, but I’m not worried like I was before. Oh also, bonus! Through this detox treatment, I lost around 10 lbs that year. I lost more weight the second year since I decided to continue the detox.
Now as I look back, I finally understood what was going on then. My skin condition was a warning sign from my body to tell me that my liver and digestive systems weren’t processing the food and the toxins in my body. But every dermatologist I went to just gave me some cream or pills to calm my face, they never really understood the root of the problem, which was my liver and digestive system. Those medication further damaged my liver’s ability to process toxins. It’s like putting out fires at the same time fueling it. That was why I wasn’t getting better. Knowing what I know now, I take my health and well-​being extremely seriously. I had a total change of life style and I see things differently now. (It wasn’t easy. It took me a year to finally eat cleaner, but it was worth it.)
I’d like to also encourage anyone out there with chronic allergic condition to give Dr. Lee and his treatment a try, because I’ve been there and I know how hard it was. Start looking at the problems beyond your symptoms and start looking for the source of the problem. Don’t blindly believe what your doctor tells you, most conditions are treatable and you CAN get 100% better if you’re in the right hands.
I am extremely grateful for Dr. Lee and I owe the health I have now to him. He’s such a kind, honest, respectful, loving and caring person both as a doctor and as a human being. I know this review is way over due, but I finally decided to share my story and I hope this review is helpful to you.

If you ever need a good natural way to get better health this is the place. It’s a one stop shop. You can get chiropractic work, acupuncture, vitamins, nutrition, alternative health, you name it. It’s here. Dr. Lee and Dr. Dein, Dr Wong, and the acupunture Dr. Pei Chan work as a team. Whether it be a car accident, injury or just maintaining good health, this is the go to place. They also accept insurance! But check first and make sure your policy covers. Flexible financing arrangements can be made as well.

I was referred to this office to speak to Dr Andrea Wong about abdominal pain, fever and loss of appetite I been having for a couple weeks. I get chiropractic care regularly, and Dr Andrea informed me that I needed to focus on my intestinal complaints because I had no appetite and intense pain for days (on top of many malabsorption problems). She was able to recommend me to get some vitamin and amino acid IV therapies from Dr Lee because I was malnourished and my intestines were having trouble absorbing the little nutrients I could eat.
The nurse who administered the IV was great, I have small veins and finding them has always been a challenge for many nurses. She located on the first try and I was just thankful for no pain or bruising. Afterwards, I was finally able to get some appetite back, and all the vitamins helped immensely for my energy levels and decreased my pain! It was just what I needed.

The prices they charge are reasonable (I paid out of pocket), and I know they do take PPO insurances. Plus there is plenty of parking available and the location is very freeway accessible (close to the 10, 60, 710).
I highly recommend this office. They have various natural treatments available. I love that this office is an integrative care treating overall wellness from the nervous system to the spine to nutrition and more. They offer a plethora of health and wellness remedies for example chiropractic, acupuncture, postural analysis, allergy test, Vitamin IV therapy, hormone balancing, anti-​aging therapy and more, it’s like one stop shop!

I’ve been coming here for a few months now and could not be more satisfied. Not only are the staff here like Dr. Andrea amazing friendly and knowledgeable, but their treatments have been phenomenal too. My back always has problems and the chiropractic and acupuncture treatment has been helping out tremendously. It’s rare to find the right blend of professional staff with equally amazing treatments, and I am very happy to report that Optimal Health & Wellness is all that and more. Dr. Andrea Wong is an absolutely fantastic chiropractor! She’s exceedingly thoughtful and attentive, extremely knowledgeable, and really takes the time to explain the details pertaining to patient care, from sitting down with them, to x-​rays, each step of treatment and adjustments, post-​treatment exercises and management, as well as during each of the follow-​ups.
Dr. Dien Nguyen is a great naturopathic doctor, also really knowledgeable, and was instrumental in helping me find and obtain the right supplements for my needs!
Letty and the rest of the staff there are also super sweet and nice. I knew exactly what to expect before and after my session thanks to everyone there!

Never had a adjustment before until I somehow ended up here. Dr. Andrea Wong is the resident chiropractor here in this multidisciplinary clinic and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Painless, easy, and quick. She’s pretty smart and was able to explain in detail about the problems that I had, so I felt very safe letting her twist me around. Definitely would recommend.

Dr. Andrea Wong is a female chiropractor who works in an integrated practice setting. What does that mean? It means that she’s surrounded by other professionals who have different approaches and enjoy collaborating with each other. She’s also wicked smart, friendly, straight-​forward, and is really funny too.
Something nobody ever tells you is how important it is for you to feel comfortable with your doctor. She is very confident, caring, and will do what’s right for the patient at all times.

I’ve known Dr. Lee since college and first sought his help when I hurt my neck doing something stupid. During that first visit, I mentioned that I have had stomach issues for as long as I can remember but had been seeing gastro specialists to treat it. Dr. Lee recommended that I test for food intolerance and it turns out that I’m intolerant to basically everything I love to eat! My sister had the same issues as me and found out she’s intolerant to a lot of food too. It’s been a difficult journey having to abstain from the foods we love (and we still «blame» him for our suffering) but the stomach pains have been MUCH more tolerable and controlled. I even lost a lot of weight when I was strict on my diet.
My sister and I still regularly come in to get adjusted and to fix other random ailments (which I seem to have a lot of). I definitely feel more relaxed and more pain-​free after leaving his office. I would definitely recommend others to check it out!

If you’re looking for a great chiropractor I recommend Dr. Andrea Wong. She is fast and efficient at what she does and she is very knowledgeable. I love getting adjusted by her and I can see how she is amazing at it. My dad, who is a medical doctor (D.O.) has never been to a chiropractor before and never been adjusted. He had knee pain and was considering getting an X-​ray since he does not have one at his office. I recommended my dad to Dr. Wong and after his initial visit he was very pleased with his visit and is now a believer of Chiropractic! He loved getting instant x-​rays and his first adjustment. Needless to say, My dad will be going back for adjustments and treatment. So I can vouch for Dr. Wong as an amazing chiropractor that is Doctor approved!
The location is great in Monterey park and there is never a long wait like at doctor offices. You are really close to Din Ti Fung so you can get create dumplings and Chinese food afterwards!
