Established in 1981.

Metrowest Security Systems was founded in the Los Angeles area in 1981 by Jane & Lloyd Silverstein, and was acquired by Diversified Alarm Service in February 2015.

Like Metrowest, Diversified Alarm is family-​owned and operated, and we feel very confident that you will be happy working with them. The owner, Danny Johnson, has been in business since 1983, and is the second generation of a family dedicated to law enforcement and security. They will continue to provide a local, personal touch that is hard to find in today’s world of national mega-​corporations.

COMPANY HAS BEEN SOLD TO DIVERSIFIED ALARMS: I had Metrowest install a new alarm system for me in the fall. They did a good job –probably 5 stars. But, I called them today with a question and belatedly learned that the company has been sold to another company. Wish I would have received notice of the change. The new company may be great, but just know that there are new owners and it isn’t Metrowest.

I have been a Metrowest Security customer since 2002. Metrowest is simply the best at what they do. They are professional, candid and helpful.
I’ve referred friends and learned that their experiences were the same. Don’t hesitate. Ask for Lloyd or Jane.

Called them and apparently they don’t install cameras that you buy yourself. I have done a ton of camera research and have found 750 TVL camera’s from a professional CCTV website for 110 $, everywhere else they are way more expensive which is the reason I want to buy them myself and have someone experienced to install them. If you are in my shoes don’t even bother calling these guys since they want to sell you their own cameras to install.

My former employer uses Metrowest so I was very familiar with them and their team. When it came time to getting an alarm set up in my new house it was an easy decision to make. The installation process and the personalized service you get from Lloyd and Jane show that they truly care about their customers. The monthly monitoring is billed quarterly and is reasonably priced. One time my alarm was accidentally triggered and our phone was ringing within seconds to make sure all was good. I highly recommend them!

We were able to secure a face to face meeting with Jane on very short notice, and we were very impressed with the fact that she managed to note all the major access points of our house, and came up with a price-​competitive package that covered all the access points, with motion detectors, and GSM hookup at a very reasonable price. They were able to install the system a day after we accepted their offer, and the peace of mind is such a relief.

Jane Silverstein was incredibly accommodating and kind. Prices were pretty competitive. I wouldn’t go elsewhere for an alarm system or service.

Metrowest has been our provider for more than 10 years — through several remodeling projects. Jane, Lloyd and their team made sure whatever alarm system changes necessitated by our remodeling were completed quickly and painlessly. Great customer service, the monitoring system is excellent and you couldn’t be dealing with nicer people!

I highly recommend Metrowest. They are a family-​run enterprise that actually cares. Our business has used them for the past 3 years and not only are their rates reasonable, they’ve been accommodating to us in a variety of circumstances. Don’t be fooled by the big companies that have signs everywhere (who are actually rip-​off artists with hidden provisions in their contracts and poor service)– Metrowest is the real deal. Give them a try!
