East LA Park

This park is very subtle and serene. I went here on Labor Day with friends and it’s not crowded what you normally see in other parks, you see families playing soccer, BBQ, or just hanging out, I haven’t had a chance et to scope the entire park, but from where I was at, seems like this park does not have basketball courts, or baseball or soccer fields, but what it does have is a concert area by the lake, which I think is what the first reviewer is pertaining to, the setting is like a Hollywood bowl style but by the lake. I was just having a peaceful moment watching the ducks and people jogging and walking around the lake. This place seems safe as well coz its next to a sheriff station and people in the area are nice folks

I LOVE that I don’t have to drive to the Hollywood Bowl and can just pay $ 6 and ride the bus! I’ve ridden this three times already and will continue to. It’s awesome because you just park at East LA, you get to drink wine at the bowl and not worry about having to drive home. The bus is always air conditioned and on time.
