Dr. Dennis Lin has been a long time resident of Monterey Park. After graduating from theUniversity of California Irvine, He attended and graduated from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. After graduation, Dr. Lin happily returned to Monterey Park to provide eyecare to his hometown community. Dr. Lin is very dedicated to his work and provides a very thorough and comprehensive eye examination. His clinical skills are exceptional as he earned all honors during his Optometric internship. Dr. Lin has great chair side manners and good rapport with his patients. Dr. Lin has interest in Glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, dry eye and allergy treatment, diaganosis and management of eye infections and ocular diseases. Dr. Lin is involved with the community by performing vision screenings for children, seniors, and residents of the local community. Dr. Lin enjoys staying active and doing anything fun. He also enjoys spending quality time with his wife, children, family, and friends

First time getting contacts and i could say i love it, Dr. Lin explain everything with detail how im seeing with & without contacts. Staff is really freandly they thought me how to clean and put on my contacts. Best office ever !! i would definetly recommend this office to everyone i know. Btw Dr. Lin is the best eye doctor ever !! (:

I went to see how they can fix my glasses. They where telling me they were just dirty and that they will go ahead and clean them. Then i asked why weren’t the cleaned before they gave them to me. They did not answer my question. After they took time cleaning them and tried giving them back to me i began to explain to them that the craftsmanship of the lens was still not good at all. I told then about the chip on the lens and then they where like «oh yea there is a chip.» I guess they are not good at paying attention to detail. They told me that the doctor would personally would cut new lens for me. I said ok so he did. After that ordeal they gave me back my new glasses with new lenses and they were waaaaay better then the first time. They gave me an apology and a Starbucks gift card. Hope next time they pay attention to detail although i don’t think ill return to this business.

My girlfriend comes here for her annual eye exams, she was looking into lasik since she was tired of wearing glasses. Dr. Lin explained the procedure and recommended an office he trusts, it has been two years and she continues to have 20⁄20 vision. She had her pre-​op and post-​op appointments at this office for which I have accompanied her and the atmosphere is great! The office is clean, staff is friendly and helpful. The doctor is detailed and thorough with his eye exams. Great selection of Rayban sunglasses at a good price. I definitely recommend Dr. Lin, his office is equipped with machines to scan the eyes and see if anything is abnormal. I saw a copy of one of her scans and it was amazing, technology these days!

When my son’s glasses’s frame broke, we decided to come here to buy a new frame. When we asked them how much the frame was, they said 150 $ other places sell them for like $ 9. We didn’t even need to buy the lens. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for glasses.

Great customer service! Dr Lin was great. I’ve been using glasses since I was 4 and rarely get the right prescription, there’s always something off. Dr Lin got it right! I am seeing the world anew. Thanks dr Lin!

Dr lin is the best eye doctor ever! He takes his time to check your vision but also the health of your eyes any questions you have he will answer them. He also treats any medical (eye infection or any other expected surgery) I would highly recommend him. Frame selection is on point.

It was my first time coming to Dr. Lin’s establishment and it won’t be the last. First and for most, the technicians were very friendly and extremely helpful. They explained every step of my examination to calm any nerves I might have had. They also provided me with the best deal I could get through my insurance. They even provided me with their professional opinion about Lasic procedure. One technician had the procedure done and she kindly told me her experience.
As for Dr. Lin, he is great. He is very polite and patient. He takes his time, cross referencing the strengths/​weakness of the possible prescription to make sure it’s the right one for you. All in all it was a great experience and I will be coming here for my next prescription.

Came on a saturday morning near opening as a walk in, and didn’t have to wait. Staff was very friendly and the process was painless (figuratively). Dr Lin is very personable and approachable, and the office is staffed with some cute girls, haha. 5⁄5 would recommend.

I was fed up with going to the optometrist at Costco and decided to see if there is someone better. My husband was the one who actually found the wonderful Dr. Lin. After going to him, I was able to see so much better. My contacts and glasses were increased by 50 degrees. I had told my old optometrist that I couldn’t see with my prescription that he had given me, but he assured me that it was correct. For some reason, I stuck with them for a whole year before coming here. Thank goodness I found Dr. Lin. I couldn’t have asked for a more thorough optometrist and the glasses he prescribed hardly took any getting use to. I will be a continued customer. My husband loves him too. We won’t go back to costco for our eye needs.

«the receptionists at this office were HORRIBLE!.. there was a huge LANGUAGE-​BARRIER with the old asian lady receptionist, and the younger receptionist who spoke influence english was flat out RUDE.
i have EyeMed Insurance which covers exam for both glasses and contacts, and an allowance for either frame and lens; or frame and contact. i have confirmed with my insurance prior to coming here. however, they told me that i could get only an exam for either glasses or contacts, and that if i wanted both i would have to pay out of pocket for the contact exam (WHICH IS SUCH A SCAMMING METHOD).
i walked out of the office without seeing the optometrist because this seems like a SHADY OPERATION to me. i called my insurance when i got home to inform them of this optometrist in their network and warn them of the situation. they helped me look for another optometrist so i will make an appointment after this post.

So happy I decided to come here! I needed new glasses BADLY. Mine were almost 3 years old and were crooked, bending inwards and the lens was peeling off. I also didn’t have contact lenses for a few months.
I had previously gone through my primary care physician’s optometrist and just filled my prescription at LensCrafters. After waiting anxiously for my appointment for TWO MONTHS my optometrist cancelled n appointment TWICE in ONE WEEK. I was frustrated and bummed out because my glasses were near their breaking point (literally).
My mom recommended I make an appointment with Dr. Lin because she had seen him recently and was satisfied with her appointment. (Plus they accepted our insurance so it was a win-​win). The morning of the second cancellation I immediately called Dr. Lin’s office and made an appointment, SAME DAY.
The appointment went extremely well and I was able to leave the office with a new pair of raybans and a years worth of contact lenses for an extremely fair price.
I will definitely continue to come to Dr. Lin for years to come.

Dr. Lin is the best! He is always very patient and gentle when doing his exams. He takes the time to explain things thoroughly. He takes his time he giving you an exam in order to get the most accurate prescription as possible. His office accepts my spectra insurance which not too many other offices will do. I highly recommend his office and I have all my siblings and coworkers come check it out.

The only thing I didn’t like about this place is that the selection of name brand frames was limited and they were all behind the counter so you had to ask to see each one you wanted to try on. I am accustom to them being on display so I can try them ALL on if I want… This was also mentioned in another review but I didn’t think much of it at the time. However, if I am going to have to use the frames for 2 yrs & pay upwards of $ 400 I’d like there to be a bigger selection.

Awesome clinic! Found them on Unilocal and called in for a walk in they verified my insurance over the phone and I was seen as soon as I came in. The staff is very knowledgable and courteous. Dr. Lin is very thorough and calm which made the experience pleasing. They have a good selection of frames and I walked out with new glasses.
If you need a new optometrist, this is the place. :)

Honestly, I hardly ever write reviews unless businesses really gave me a hard time. I usually have lukewarm feelings about places too. However, I was really pleasantly surprised when I came here for the first time. Everything and every procedure was explained coherently and thoroughly so that I could know what was going on. I really appreciate the fact that I was asked on my knowledge of something rather than the possible assumption I didn’t know about something.
The place was clean, I did not have to wait long at all, the staff was very helpful and attentive, and everyone was patient. It also helped that I got my new glasses the day of instead of in a week.
I wish I remembered her name since it was a week ago but I think her name was Berna. She was really nice and attentive with helping me choose glasses that best suited my face shape as well as what styles are hip nowadays *elderly lady voice*.
Dennis was also very, very kind and helpful. He asked me about other things like where I went to school and offered advice. It is really nice to know someone cares about his patients holistically instead of just trying to git er done.
