I was so grateful to this company and their professional work, being so reliable and their great products.
I found Star Event Productions when I was looking for affordable Chivari chairs. I had long ago decided I did not want Chivari chairs because I liked the simple look of folding chairs and they had the added benefit of being 3x cheaper. However, my event planner would not let go of insisting I get Chivari chairs — especially when my event was moved indoors. She said we could find them for a reasonable price and started looking. I conceded once I saw ice clear Chivaris. They were so magical looking. It also did not hurt that my videographer who used to work in fashion design and has really cool taste also said Chivaris would be better and Armond at Star Event gave me a price I could not refuse :)
Star Event came through both on an INCREDIBLE price (and lowest-​price-​matched EVERY OTHER RENTAL COMPANY!!!) and a GREAT product and service. At first it seemed too good to be true and I was reluctant because they were very insistent on getting the business and gave me a really good deal. However, once I saw there had been enough really good reviews of their work, I decided to go with them. Then I saw that Everything Star Event had was of better quality and price!!! I could not believe it. I kept adding more things from their menu including elegant silver chargers, 100% cotton napkins, beautiful lounge furniture, gorgeous chandeliers — of which they had both the 2-​tier and the 1-​tier.
Moreover, I saw more and more how professional they were and grew more and more confident in having put my trust and business in their hands — they became one less thing to worry about, and by the end, they were one of the best and most reliable vendors and SUCH A PLEASURE to work with!
and their beautiful products made my event STUNNING despite everything else having gone wrong due to the venue’s total incompetence.

I had the pleasure of working with Armin on two different occasions and both times he was on time, professional, responsive to text and quick to follow-​up. The first event I worked with him was at a Wedding for 160 guests at The Hills Hotel in Laguna. He was easy to work with and made the transaction convenient in all aspects. This prompted me to contact him for another event I worked at which took place at the Castaway in Burbank and again, he did not fail to impress. I would recommend him to anyone who require a dance floor. Armin did a great job in both environments!

**SUPER SHADY**
After making the tough decision to postpone our wedding due to the death of my grandmother, I reached out to Armin or whatever his name is to inform him of the date change and what the policy was. He never replied back and when it came closer to the wedding date, I called him to confirm our rentals. He then tells me our $ 150 deposit is no longer good, claiming it was only for the original wedding date. Now, that’s fine if he would’ve told me that or had something in writing. All he ever did was charge my credit card and gave me a receipt print out. And now we’re out of a $ 150. The funny thing is, every single one of our other vendors had no issue rolling our deposit to another date once they heard of my grandmothers death. This ruthless unemotional guy doesn’t care at all. He was the only one that gave us a hard time.
We originally went with him because his pricing was good, but I guess you really get what you pay for.

I recently rented chiavari chairs for my wedding and was very pleased with the service I received. Prices were great compared to other event companies I called. Armand was very responsive and always got back to me via email. I even had to add to my current count and they were able to accomodate.
They delivered and set up all the chairs and were very professional. A + service! Thanks Armand!

Five stars for good pricing, getting the job done well, and delivering on the product as agreed to (chiffon curtains and dance floor) for our wedding reception. Minus one star though because dealing with Armond was a freakin headache! The guy was over half an hour late to our initial meeting with no apology… but ok, he had good reviews, had fair and competitively priced services, and hey, LA traffic sucks so we went with him. For those of you planning a wedding, you know your time is extremely valuable and that prompt replies and responsiveness from vendors is of the utmost importance, especially when coordinating between multiple vendors and the venue etc. Our venue was already being difficult by requiring all sorts of paperwork, contracts, and insurance from vendors and dealing with Armond only added to the stress/headache…We gave him the paperwork to be signed/​completed months prior to the deadline on the day we paid the deposit but the guy submitted incomplete paperwork when we contacted him as the deadline approached. Ok ok… honest mistake maybe. Then, we still needed proof of insurance coverage as requested by our venue and he acted as if this was something he never had to do before. He submitted a certificate of liability for the wrong venue figuring that it was good enough; of course it wasn’t! He obviously has gone through this insurance nonsense process before but the guy acted clueless and we had to walk him through the paperwork and what was needed. He kept promising that the paperwork was coming and that the insurance company was the hold up. You can imagine our stress level as the deadline for paperwork was looming and we had other things to get done! In the end I called the insurance company myself and got the necessary paperwork emailed in 5 minutes. Armond ended up emailing us the certificate days before the event… which was like 2 weeks AFTER we needed it!
Bottom line though, Star Events is priced well, delivered the services as requested, and was on time. Use this vendor but be ready to stay on top of them and don’t just assume «oh I’ll give him another day or two to get back to me» because nothing will get done

BRIDES BE WARE!!!
Armand sucks!!! worst service ever! in the beginning everything was fine I gave him my $ 400 deposit. The day before the wedding he tells me that he rented out most of what I had rented (tables, chairs, sofas…) and that he would be collecting it that same day of my wedding. He also told me that he didnt know if it would be delivered on the agreed time and worst of all, the bar I had rented, i wouldn’t be receiving it because he had rented it out for someone else. NOT just that when I was trying to talk to him, that good for nothing scum, poor excuse of a man kept hanging up on me. He did this like about 5– 6 times. Do not TRUST him when he says, «I give you my word, everything will be there.» Yet he told me that he didnt have anything and I wouldnt be seeing my bar!!! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT TO USE THIS GUYS SERVICES, HE IS A SCAM ARTIST AND PULLED THE RUG FROM UNDERNEATH MY FEET THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING, BY NOT DELIVERING THE ITEMS AS WAS AGREED ON THE CONTRACT ORIGINALLY!

Star Event was awesome for our production. We had a last minute request for a large tent over a pool, the day before the event, and they were quick to respond and coordinate what we needed. I’d recommend them to others and will use them again in the future!

This was my first time renting equipment for an event, so I was nervous about everything turning out ok. My mother and pregnant sister were constantly worrying about everything that could go wrong, «will the tent be too small?», «is there going to be enough shade?» and so on. so we may have bugged Armond a bit with making sure everything would be there on time and make sure he understood exactly what I wanted. He handled us well lol. At the end of the day, everything turned out great, I am pretty happy with this company. I was searching for a someone reasonable, where I could rent everything I needed for an outdoor baby shower, all at one place and for a good price. I was on a budget and Armond was able to work with my budget. They came to set up at the house the morning before our event. They were punctual and organized. I really appreciate all the hard work his team went through to set up the tent and do the draping. I loved that they were perfectionists. My guests couldn’t stop complementing us on everything. The day after our event, people wanted to know what rental company I used. I hope they are around for a while, I will definitely use them again! Be sure to be specific with your order and keep your invoice so there are no problems:)

My friend hired this company for chairs and lighting for her wedding at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. I was on site to make sure vendors came on time. Of all the vendors, Star Event Productions arrived 20 mins early! They quickly set up the chairs and lights and quickly disappeared. They worked very efficiently. As a bride, you’re not sure if vendors will arrive on time, let alone even show up at all! She made a good choice w. Star Events.

We used Star Event Productions for our wedding due to the unbeatable pricing we were quoted relative to the venue’s onsite services for a tent/​draping and dancefloor.
We ran into a curveball with the venue, which required an additional permit, fire retardant on the tent fabric, meeting fire regulation for amount of square footage needed per person, etc, but Armond handled these issues in stride, coming up with product solutions that met our budgetary needs.
Armond has been very helpful and accommodating throughout, always maintaining good communication. If you’re planning a wedding and need to rent some equipment, give Armond a call and he’ll take care of you.

I did a lot of research before choosing Star Event Productions as a vendor for my wedding. The truth is that I couldn’t find another place with more affordable Chiavari Chairs. I did call a lot of places and you probably will too, just to find that they can’t beat their rental price.
Armond was a great person to deal with. He was friendly, great with phone calls, meeting times, and emails.
***I do have to warn you: KEEP YOUR INVOICE. Make sure everything is clearly stated (color of chair, color of chair cushion, etc.). For my event I got white chair cushions and I did bring it up to his attention but he insisted that I had ordered white cushions. I didn’t argue or mind b/​c the banquet hall would be dark and the white would end up looking like ivory. A few days later after the wedding I found an invoice that stated «chocolate cushion covers.» I’m sure it was just an honest mistake.
Don’t be discourage to do business with Armond. He is very flexible and willing to work with your budget. Unlike other vendors, he was very understanding and didn’t argue or mind at all when I removed items or added items to my order.
I would definitely do business with again and would recommend him to a friend or family member.

I really have mixed feelings about this company. Let me start by saying why we choose Star Events. The price was extremely competitive. Best we could find. His product was also satisfactory. We got a white dance floor, Chiavari chairs and linens. The company doesn’t have a big selection. Only white or cream chair cushions. We could only get one type of charger plate and one type of linen in the colour we wanted.
I got the feeling that Armond hasn’t been in business long. He’s extremely laid back. He was shocked and protested against the fact that he had to pick up the dance floor and chairs after the wedding. Yes, it was late, but according to my wedding planner and the hotel, it is standard practice for vendors to collect their items after the wedding. The hotel doesn’t want rentals sitting in their ballroom all night.
Also, the week of the wedding he insisted we pay in cash and wouldn’t take credit card or check. How many people have wads of cash hanging around a week before the wedding? And if cash was required, I would’ve appreciated knowing when we signed the contract, not 3 days before the wedding. Also, we got a call from our wedding planner days before the wedding notifying us that he did not have the correct size linen for our tables. We had to use mismatched linens. Again, it would’ve been nice to know he couldn’t fill our order more than 3 days out.
Finally, when one of his staff members dropped off the items on the day of our wedding and wanted final payment, he presented an invoice that was different than the one we had agreed on. They had raised prices on us. Luckily my fiancée had the original invoice on hand and we worked it out but really, who wants to deal with this the day of their wedding.
I guess you get what you pay for. Great prices, quality product but not exactly stress free.
