Customer service at the cashier was horrible. Wife was accused of cutting in line. She asked them to check the camera and they didn’t even acknowledge it was a misunderstanding and insisted that we lied. No apologies was given. Called the store manager that handle that area, will not even directly speak to us, but had another manager taking her place. He told us that it will be handled internally and do you believe that? All we asked was to put the associate on the phone and acknowledge she was wrong and say a simple sorry. The excuses was store policy, bs. Have you heard of customer service here?

My review is on the appliances department and their delivery people. The sales people on the floor are great. They are helpful and knowledgeable but there’s a major disconnect as to what they promise and what the delivery guys provide.
Not sure if the sales people oversell services or the delivery folks are put in a difficult situation but all I asked was that my appliances be delivered and unboxed. That’s it! No installation, just put them in my garage. I got so much grief and mishandling of my appliances when I nicely asked for what I originally was promised on the sales floor.
It’s no surprise Sears has trouble retaining consumer loyalty. I purchased a stove, fridge, microwave and dishwaher. I had my microwave dropped from the standing position when the delivery boss told his worker that I asked for the appliance to be out of the box. Want to pay thousands of dollars and feel horrible about your purchase? Go to Sears.

Not worth the headache! Sears failed us greatly we ordered on line and needless to say our new fridge is sitting pretty but the haulaway service we paid for has still yet to be completed. Forget customer service they didn’t do a thing on the day of delivery. Now not only did I set aside more time from work for a second pick up but somehow that pick up date and time never made it on their records and was reschedule for a week later. Now they expect me to set aside more time for a third attempt at something they can’t seem to get done correctly. Mind you this is a service I paid for and they have collected on already. Don’t waste your money spend your hard earned cash else where. Also SCE has a FREE haulaway with a cash incentive. Now I know better and so does anyone who ask me if they should appliance shop at Sears. Don’t do it! You’ll be glad you didn’t. For all the inconvenience a gift card refunding your haul away fee and another 3 hours of work time lost. Thanks a lot Sears who knew a simple fridge for a decent price would end up costing so much in the end. No stars!

If you’re in the market for appliances, RUN!!! In less than 5 years my washer AND dryer have broken down more than once!!! SEARS Sucks!!! They do not stand by their products and worse, offer no real solutions. The rust on my reservoir for the bleach is out of control and all the repair guy could offer was some MORE paint that looks like white-​out. My dryer went out AGAIN today in less than five years! I’m out of warranty so I’m SOL!!! I haven’t done business with SEARS since this purchase five years ago but I want other buyers to beware! Unless you can afford to buy appliances ever few years, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!
SEARS, even a simple «We are sorry» would be nice.

horrible customer service, the cashiers are BEYOND slow!!!
They are Rude and don’t have a sense of urgency.
Literally came in to buy a crib, clothes and a washer. No one assisted me!
I asked cashier how long it would take to do a stock check, waited for 20 minutes.
I was going to spend over $ 500 dollars here and no one helped me, I’ll take my money somewhere else.

Do not buy timberland «pro» boots or any timberlands for any reason had these shoes 8 months and both soles have cracked down the center in the same exact place… super cheap quality and horrible purchase invest in higher quality like red wings from the beginning because next thing you no your in the hole 160 dollars and you have work the next day and you need boots. Timberland…I hate you… Sears I dislike you for your poor customer service in regards to my obvious quality issue don’t expect to see me there ever again for clothing or shoes… craftsman tools on the other hand have never let me down with the warranty or quality in comparison to price oh yeah timberland you suck and your pro models suck too

Horrible customer service, will never ever shop there again, they are rude and their employees are horrible. Will never spend another dime here and making sure I tell everyone I know about how awful this store have become. No wonder they have such bad press and always voted on the worst companies list.

Dreadful customer service. I walked in yesterday expecting to make some major purchases. I was in the garden tool area. I wanted to buy some plastic club chairs with a storage compartment.
There were two young male sales personnel helping one woman buy a water hose.
I asked one if he could help me with the chair I wanted to buy when he had a chance.
Apparently, he never had a chance.
This has been a problem at all Sears locations for generations, poor service.
I like a lot of their products.
They have a better selection of men’s footwear than Target, and many other stores.
But trying to get a sales person’s attention is virtually impossible.
This might be the norm now, I know service has been in decline across the country for many years.

I like buying my kids clothes. They have great specials once in a while. Its always good if you have coupons for more discounts.

Ran to the entrance at 8:59 & 30seconds, when I literally had he door locked in front of my face. All I had was a question for Appliance department regarding an upcoming delivery. Great example of the reasons behind Sears’ bankruptcy…

oN 4−7−15, I literally got disrespected by the montebello sears store general manager mark l coleman. not only did he insinuate i was a liar, gave me a wrong # to corporate, refused to help me, & insulted me, along with some of his employees! but was so rude, disrespectful & literally got in my face & began pointing his finger at me all while yelling & turning furiously red! i am so upset & startled! i really thought he was going to hit me! cops were called, but nothing was done! i feel so upset! what happened to keeping the customer happy? or the customer is always right? i know there’s customers who just deserve to be ignored or ones slightly more difficult then others, but i did nothing wrong! felling sad, mad, upset & furious!
since 4−7−15, not one district manager has contacted me. today it is 4−20−15, i called sears, & was told that the store manager spoke to the district manager, and that mark l coleman said i was trying to return an item that was years old! first of all this is false, my items needs to be fixed or exchanged, an item i bought warranty for which does not expire till 12-​22-​2015! he also said he offered to help me, & that i was told by the cops to not return to the store again! all lies! unbelievable! so my side of the story… which is the truth, does not need to be heard?! they are believing this managers lies! after their was witnesses & video recording through out the store!?! i demanded to speak to a district manager, & once again was told that a district manager will contact me between 24 – 48 hours. i was told this the first time & no one called me or emailed me! i am furious. how i see it, nothing is being done, store video has not been reviewed, & this store manager lied his way out & is still working at sears. im appalled, disgusted & deeply sadden. i got mistreated, disrespected, insulted & was aggressively approached, finger pointed to my face & yelled out by the store manager of sears mark l coleman! why has this video of 4−7−15 not been reviewed? i am not lying as to what happened that day to me! review the video sears ! & for once actually take care of your customers! store managers along with their employees need to be retrained. customer service should be a number one priority! employees of sears need to be taught some manners & respect! i get better service at mc donalds by teenagers!

First time at this sears tonight and im not happy the girl at the door was wayyy rude then she was like «just to let you know we close in 10 minutes sooo.» hahah soo? Soo hurry the f up? Love the store and the rest of the staff but girl at the door. ha

So my review will be on there layway! I live in long beach but im used to driving the idstance for a good deal. I added a TV to my layaway and this location was the only one that had the tv in stock. Ihad 1 payment left and went in store to pay it so i could get my item. Sadly if you do layaway online u cannont pay instore for final payment. SUCKs but i cant blame 1 store for the corporations downfall. I used my phone made the payment and was instructed to go to the back. fastforward I was in and out of the item pickup in 1 minute and they even waited for me to clean clean the van i was using to load the tv. Like i said review is of the layaway and item pickup. But the associates inside were nice and did help me as much as they could!

If possible to give negative star, Sears has earn it. Do not! I repeat Do not buy large appliances from Sears. The people that works there are just clueless. We brought a sub-​zero refrigerator from Sears. The sales person assured us they will and can deliver and install. We told him it on the second floor. He assured us again, they do this all the time.
Delivery day came. They delivery guys (two of them) said its too heavy they can’t do it. Left the frig in the garage and left. A couple of days later they sent 4 guys over and left, because its too heavy.
We found another company that can do the job, but Sears claims that if it is not one of their approved vendor it would void the warranty and since it’s a complicated job they charged us $ 600 for it. To make a long story short they sent more people to the house, just to scratch their head and butts and left. These are the most frustrating people to talk to and work with. They just have no clue.
Sales guy tired, but can not help, even claims he can not help. The store and department manager never answers the phone or is never there. Probably hiding behind his employee and tells him what to say (just like a ventriloquist).
Now we have a $ 8,000 frig sitting in the garage for over a month.
A bunch of idiots working there. No wonder the company is in bankruptcy.

We bought a tool cabinet only to find out that it was dented when we got home. We went back the next morning to exchange it. It took about an hour for them to exchange it. Horrible. When we got home, we opened the box to find out our new tool box was dented again!!! WTF. We called to explain our situation. Eddie was very patient. And apologetic. There was no manager on site (lame) so I spoke to another woman who was not apologetic at all. We explained how much of an inconvenience it was to have to drive back and wait an hour for them to exchange it and she didn’t care. She told us they didn’t have anymore and we would have to return and get a refund. When we went back to return it, it took another f-​ing hour because they lost the receipt.
This is the last time I’ll be doing business with this Sears!!!

Such bad service. They have already called a manager about 6 times and no one has come.

This review doesn’t specifically have to do with the service at the Montebllo Sears, but since the television I purchased was from this store, it seemed appropriate to be posted here.
How have people found their experiences dealing with Sears customer service? Specifically, Sears in-​home repair division.
As of right now, I have been waiting for over two months on a repair to be completed on a barely year-​old television. I have had multiple appointments made, multiple cancellations (without prior notice), and a couple failed repair attempts. SOME delays have been beyond their control (obtaining parts from the manufacturer), but they have made an overwhelming amount of mistakes themselves. They have confirmed arrival of parts and scheduled service appointments, failing to follow through or correct mistakes with nothing more than standard «We apologize for the inconvenience» lines from customer service reps, of course, once I contacted them.
This morning I had a repair appointment scheduled, no one showed up, and when I called customer service, I was told parts are scheduled to arrive in a week and that I would be receiving a call from customer service on that day to schedule a service appointment. A promise not unlike those that have been made previously.
Does anyone know of somewhere I can yell at a Sears Home Repair representative in person? I have had my fill dealing with face-​less voices on the phone. What happened to the good ol’ days when you could cuss someone out in person, make threats, and get dragged out by security?

Pretty much this location runs pretty smooth…
Yesterday I went to JC Penny’s first and only found one of my size pants LEVIS then I came to Sears and found 3-​more different colors so I bought them and well since I was there I went and bought a new pair of shoes, my son a toy, a pull-​over for me and a pair of shoes for my daughter…
Paid for everything and I was on my way…

Kitchen Appliance Department review.
My 30-​yr. old stove died.
I was giggling with glee!
Thing was, I wanted another old school type with the gas knob for the oven. Not one of the digital ones. We went here and there and the only ones we came across seemed cheaply made.
*sigh*
I had to accept that the newfangled digital technology was the way to go.
Sears had the best selection and prices.
The first day we went, Michelle did a great job of answering all our questions and double-​checked all the info she gave us.
What was great was that she obviously has done her homework on the products. At some of the other places, we encountered some clueless salespeople.
We appreciated having her full attention while we were there. So much that we wanted her as our salesperson if we decided to buy from Sears.
After going to one other place, I resigned myself to getting the digital oven.
We went back the next day to see Michelle and make our purchase.
Easy and quick transaction since we covered all bases the day before.
She also set up delivery for the next weekend.
We walked out happy with the customer service received.
Delivery day went smoothly.
Edvin & his assistant were on time and very efficient.
They took the stove out of the box to let us check for damages (none!) and navigated the maze to our kitchen easily.
We didn’t have them do the installation because my husband likes to be one of those DIY guys.
We’re very happy customers!
I’m loving my new baby!

If you want to buy hand tools, this is the place to go. I recently purchased a 5-​piece mini-​pliers set, then saw a $ 5.00 off coupon in the paper this Sunday. I asked for a price adjustment on the item that I bought a few days before and not only did I get the $ 5.00 off, but I also got 5% off since there was a sale on tools that day. Yay for me! haha. =)
The tools at this Sears were not locked up behind the glass case, so you can check them out on your own without having to look for an employee. Plus, it’s in a much better area.
