Pelitos Hair Salon is a specialty salon for kids and adults. We cater to kids of all ages. We do mini manis, mini pedis and mini makeup for your little princess. We also host private parties at our shops in Montebello and Downey or we can come to you. We have been a part of the Nickelodean Kids Choice Awards since 2010 and are a proud member of the World Styling Team. We also do color, highlights, deep conditioning treatments for the moms and your kids can play safely while they wait.

History

Established in 2008.

My husband and I always envisioned having a business wherein we would cater to kids. Our vision came about when we were looking for a kids hair salon for our son’s first haircut. We did not want to take our son to an adult salon. We wanted this to be a good experience for him and for us as well.

After looking for a kids hair salon near the vicinity of Pico Rivera, which is where we reside, we were amazed to find out that the closest kids hair salon was in Pasadena, approximately a 30 mile drive. We began to research the industry, knowing nothing about the salon industry, children or parents.

This is when our «Lightning Bolt Moment» occurred. It became obvious to us that the market was ripe for a salon that would not just allow children, but would welcome them with open arms. We wanted to create a place that kids would love to visit.
