I was way overdue for new contacts calling around looking for an immediate appointment. Fortunatly they took walk-​ins and I found myself in the office located in the Montebello Town Center next to Macys.
The staff was friendly and helpful and I only had to wait about 40 minutes to see Dr Dixon Wong. He was super nice and made me feel comfortable right away. He really seemed to know his stuff and made me feel he was working hard to get my prescription perfect for how I live. I have a very difficult prescription having really poor vision and needing glasses my entire life having a doc who can appreciate that is really important to me.
The shop is small and my ONLY complaint was that I felt the frame selection was a bit limited, especially for men. I am a bit peculiar in my taste so maybe someone else would be ok there as they had some nice styles, but I was looking for something «different» this time around as far as my frames go. But over all I was very happy just finding an awesome doctor like Dr Dixon.
If you live in the area you should check out Dr Dixon, you wont regret it!

Very fast service even though it was a little busy. They have a good selection of glasses. Definitely would recommend having an appointment but the staff and Doctor were great and attentive to everyone in the store.

First time here 8÷23÷2015 & my experience was a great one. Latest in exam machines, the Optometrist & staff was very nice. Selection of glasses is good too. The gentleman who helped me select my frame & lenses was very knowledgeable, polite even though I was a bit indecisive when it came to selecting the lense enhancements, & they are open on the weekend which is a big plus!

The people here at Jeffrey kleinman Vision Center are seriously the best! The employees here were very nice and welcoming. The doctor was nice and always asked if I had any questions and answered any of my questions and concerns in detail. He was in no rush to get done with the eye exam. He truly showed he cared for his patient. I will be coming back here from now on!

Wow. Is all i have to say. the staff is awesome specifically the young lady named Vanessa that helped me she was oh my god beautiful but thats not it she was very nice she made me feel like she was there for me. We talked about food and bbq and she was genuine and she was very easy to talk to and very professional. if i could have her as a girlfriend i would be a very lucky dude. But that not all the doctor was amazing we joked and laughed he made you feel comfortable and didnt seem in a rush, he seemed to work at your pace answered any questions i had, asked if i had concernes or questions he had a sense of humor whan i was craking jokes about being big and blind. He also explained in detail what was what and why things were done. Overall great experience again. i think ima go back just to chill over there since everyone is soo cool. They have my business for life unless i move out of state.

this is the worst optometrist I have ever been too! i do not, i repeat i do not recommend this place to anyone! my daughter bought $ 400 Chanel glasses that needed to be adjusted every week for the past month and when she took them in for the 10^th time the «supposed professional» melted her lens! mind you her glasses keep getting wider and wider and when we asked for an exchange there was no budging!!! Martha is the worst manager ever not business like at all, there is nothing professional about this place nor the workers! don’t bother spending you money here go else where! staff sucks!!! and so do the products!

I’ve been coming here for the past 4 years, not just because of my insurance but they always welcome my questions and see me at my appointments in a timely manner! Not to mention they have a great selection of frames! I recommend to come here specially if you like brand and quality! I have nothing bad to say and I will continue coming as long as they keep up the good work !

Dr. Kleinman and his staff are very professional and treat me well every time I see them. They have a great selection of designer brands to choose from also. I don’t normally right reviews on Unilocal but felt this office was deserving of one.

So irritated with this place!!! I they have a very limited selection on frames. They up their prices because they know most insurance pays $ 100-​$ 160— bad experience. if u are looking for nice high end frames don’t come here. It’s in the mall so I guess it’s to be expected. Only pro they are open till 9pm last appt at 7p :/

Service here has gone down the drain! Terrible staff! I originally had an appointment at 5pm they called & rescheduled me at 4:45, my son at 5:30. Now mind you, we’ve both been here before. Our information is in the system. When I finally get here, they have me update our info. Once I hand it over to the lady at the desk she asked about our insurance plan. To my surprise they no longer take his plan! I left work 2 hrs early! I wish they would have mentioned it when they book our appointments, or even when the abruptly rescheduled me! The staff they had before was on top of things. They asked these questions! What a waste! You think with the over priced frames & the long wait for your glasses to come, that they would at least offer quality service!

Went here today for an appointment I had scheduled for 3:30 PM. Have always been disappointed by the service I myself have received from this office. The older lady with red hair that works the reception counter is a hard pill to swallow. I walk in to check in and she’s quickly giving me attitude asking If I need help. I explain I have an appointment and she changed her tone slightly from mega bitch to just bitch. Then gives me some forms and tells me to fill them out. I fill them out quickly and give them back to her. It’s now 3:25 and I take a few minutes to look around the shop, all while I turn around to find her glancing over at me as if I’m gonna steal something. Whatever, I ignore it and sit down. Wait for another 30 minutes before I can’t help myself and get up and Tell her I will have to reschedule. I expected to hear an apology for the long wait or to hear a reason as to why I’m leaving, but unfortunately all I get is an OooK with a little eye rolling to boot. In the beginning I mentioned myself because my wife has gone here with our 3 kids and and she says yeah the red head always has a bit of attitude but hopefully you get to deal with the younger girl, she’s way friendlier. I never got the pleasure. Anyway due to the shitty service I’ve received I’ve decided to find a new optometrist for myself and my family. That’s 5 sets of eyes they will no longer profit from in any way whatsoever due to the lack of customer service provided by this establishment. Smile a little bit lady, it doesn’t cost you a fx÷&xn cent and it goes a long way, in other words get a personality. Let me end it by saying it’s not all bad here. If you can stomach the troll then you’ll find the doctor is the complete opposite of this woman, don’t be afraid to find someone else doc. She’s ruining your business, think of how many have walked out and not mentioned anything. Put that chick on check.

This is a great optometrist office! Been a patient here for maybe 6 – 7 years not really sure but there are many reasons to why I’ve been coming here.
The sheer amount of frames they carry is insane I really had no idea there were so many different brands. Was a huge plus cause I’m annoyingly picky which brings me to the next thing, the staff.
The staff was very friendly and helpful with frame selection. I should really learn there names one of these days.
Last thing is the doctors. Seen all of them at this point and they’ve never disappointed in being friendly and courteous. Always a pleasure getting my exam here and will continue for the foreseeable future.

Been a previous patient at Dr. Kleinman’s Vision Center because of their great and friendly service and huge selection in frames. The staff ensures your frame selection is appropriate and comfortable for your needs. Would highly recommend.

I purchased my prescription sunglasses from this office. I ordered Juicy couture and Michael Kors, I was rushing the day I picked them up day so I picked up my classes and left in a rush with out really trying them on (my mistake). I got home and tried them on. They would slide off my face when I look down. It was Sunday, I called the office told them what happened and the girl said sure bring them in let me look at them. When I get there I gave both pairs to the technician he went back to his office for 15 minutes and «adjusted» my glasses. When I try them on he had completely bent the legs of the glasses so that now the legs looked like hooks. The red head, the big girl at the desk tried to convince me that they looked normal. The legs of the glasses looked like fish hooks and not a little bent they looked like fish hooks (they wrapped around my ears) I complained to them for ruining the natural curve of the glasses and she tries to argue how she wouldn’t have a problem wearing them how they are. She said frames are always sold as is and they never measure for a fit. At that point I new I was talking to the village idiot and I decided to take my glasses and leave. I plan on going back during regular business hours when the Dr is in the office. Maybe he can be more understanding to his customers. But I will never purchase from here again. Most likely I will have to suck it up and loose my money. Horrible customer service by the big girl at the desk.

DR. KLEINMAN is the best eye doc on LA. I have been going to him since 1991. Staff is always friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable. Highly highly recommend him.

The staff are dumb. they called me in April saying it was time for my yearly exam but confused my information with my sisters, so it was a waste of a drive from the IE.
i called this week to ask when was my yearly eyed and said this month, so when i showed up they told me that it was actually in September.
the staff is dumb. i would never recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve gone to Dr. Kleinman for over 10 years. I’d go to his office in downtown LA. I didn’t realize how lucky I’ve been until coming across these reviews so I thought I should share my thoughts. He really is truly a great doctor! Very patient and caring and his staff is awesome!

Great Dr. and great service. The selection is terrific. For the first time I felt like my issues were being heard and the Dr. patiently addressed my concerns with knowledge and kindness. And for the first time after going to several others, my glasses truly are perfect. From now on I will be getting my eye exams, eyecare and all my glasses/​sunglasses and contacts from Dr. Kleinman. Highly recommend!

Thanks to my friend Elite Unilocaler Debbie Y. for recommending Dr. Kleinman to me. Within hours of me emailing his office my 3-​page going on 3-​month nightmare of 3 previous doctors not being able to diagnose me properly for glasses (having focus/​blurry problems that is causing eye strain, headaches and general fatigue especially on the computer and while reading), Dr. Kleinman gave me a call last week. He was so nice and answered all my questions and said he definitely thought he could help. Since he wasn’t in this weekend, he said he fully trusted his other doctors and recommended I see one of them and he would oversea my case next week.
So I scheduled the first 10am appointment on Saturday and saw Dr. Dixon Wong (btw there are twin Dr. Wong’s there, the other is Dennis I believe). Dr. Wong spent over an hour (like close to 2 I think) doing tons of tests. One of them was a color test where half the letters in the distance were red, the other half green, and through this test (and others) he determined I’m actually between two prescriptions, between –3.75 and –3.50. NO OTHER DR. I’VE SEEN DID THIS TEST and he mentioned many do not. So they have a computer there that determined my exact prescription and with Zeiss Customized Individual lenses, they can make that exact prescription (while most other places can only do stock lenses, meaning you only get prescriptions in .25 increments).
The other problem Dr. Wong thinks I’ve been having is convergence, that my right eye looks out a little too much, so both my are not converging correctly. And this would make sense of why letters on the computer and while reading a book and even street signs at a distance are slightly blurry.
Anyhow, Dr. Kleinman is going to review my case on Monday and determine what to do next. So while my problem isn’t solved yet, I’m writing this review now because I feel I’m in good hands, and will update the progress.

Service is good and they have great eye wear selection. Do an appointment because they get really busy.
