I’ve been coming here since I was a baby for lessons, and now I bring my six year old this is her third year taking lessons The life guards are always great This year it seems like they’ve cut back a lot because there doesn’t seem to be too many classes but one thing they have cut out is the horrible waiting in line at five in the morning to signing up online! :) Maybe next year they can bring the night swimming back!

I love this pool. It’s a giant pool great for swimming laps. I think I came once when I was little when it was free swim. It was packed on a sunny day. The water’s warm and clean. I swam laps at 6:30am last summer and there’s usually no one there. Only one other person if any. The only thing was that there were quite a few roaches and ants around outside and in the locker room. Bleh. Summer brings out the bugs anywhere with water.

Formerly known as The Montebello City Park Plunge, it has now been funded by George Hensel and become the George Hensel Aquatic Center. They have an Olympic sized swimming pool. One way is 50m, sideways is 25 yds. They offer lap swim, rec swim, and swim lessons. It cost $ 1 for kids, $ 3 for adults. It’s not the same as when we were younger because they remodeled a few years ago. It is much nicer.
