Love this place! Their pastor tacos and sandia agua frescas are the best. Super friendly staff and plenty of seating inside. Tacos are only $ 1 on Thursdays too! Definitely recommend this place.

Food is really good, it’s mainly Mexican food but good. I’ve eaten here before since its on my route and enjoy eating their tacos, many meats to choose from. This place is very clean and food is very good.

This is right by work, so I come here often. Great tacos, enchiladas, tortas, and chilaquiles. The service is always great and quick. Decent prices. Clean inside. What more could you want?

We came here after we were still hungry after leaving from a different restaurant. This review is just based on the tacos. I ordered an asada taco and a fish taco(it can be either fried or grilled). The tacos weren’t the best but they were still tasty. Good customer service, clean restaurant, good tasting water, self serve salsa bar, and free chips! I might have to come back and try their torta… looks bomb!

Got a breakfast burrito with bacon and it was bomb. The torta here is also very good. This spot makes real authentic Mexican food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Free drink refills for regular customers: D good perk.

I took my family to Garcia’s Tacos about 3 weeks ago. I always first ask if «You speak English»? If not, we normally walk out. They said yes. I then said I hope we hope we found a perfect Mexican place to eat, cause we have a hard time finding good friendly service at Mexican restaurants mainly because we don’t speak Spanish. The rumor is they«Treat» us differently cause they feel we’re the same as the«White» people, who mistreated them with injustice for many years. So I told them if the food is good and the prices are reasonable, we’ll only return if we’re treated with respect & without«Prejudice». Plus we’ll tell our friends and family. We ordered the tacos de Lengua. They were ok in flavor, the chile sauces were not Hot, the same with the jalapenos, which seemed stale and out of the can. The chips were cold, stale, and had no salt. Odallas and mother Sandra were very nice, at first. I complimented them on their friendly Customer” service, their smiles etc. Anyway, our next visit we tried the carnitas burritos to go. When we got home, the burritos were Very GREASY! We took 2 bites & Discarded them! Oh, I also found a «BONE»! We didn’t notice it on the receipt until later, and who takes the food out of the bag to check if it’s correct before you leave like a bank tells you you to count your change, right? So I called Odallas to let her know they made a mistake, and burritos were very«Wet with Grease», made a a mistake, that we didn’t order«Wet» burritos, and they were very«Greasy». And I explained to her that when people do order a WET burrito, they usually cover them with Green or Red sauce and cheese, just like the other 99 Mexican restaurants we visited, Right people? She«Insisted», and with an «Attitude», that we Did order«WET»! And said they do it different there. I said ok, and asked if we can either get a refund or replacement as a «Courtesy»? I was SHOCKED when she replied«We don’t do business that way, we’re „NOT“ in the Business» to HELP people, like we were homeless? (*By the way, we always help he homeless with food and water, even Mexicans!) So I asked her«What Happened Odallas?» You guys were very nice at first, are these your«True Colors? And I said we would like to visit your restaurant again to try their Menudo, and this Bad Karma, she simply said«Well if we loose you as a customer, oh well, that’s «Too Bad», nothing we can do for you! I was SHOCKED!, but Not Surprised, after all, we don’t speak Spanish!). WE will NEVER go back there! And we Won’t recommend to friends or family! Try Sergio’s Tacos down the street on Vail. They have better food, great prices, and very customer oriented, which is why they’re always busy!(*They once replaced our burritos FREE of charge when they got it wrong, and told us to just throw them away, or give to someone hungry. Or try Super Burrito and the Giant Burrito(*Formerly Sanchez Restaurant, both in Whittier on Whittier Blvd. Oh, and don’t forget one of our favorites, Playa Baja, the have 2 in Montebello. So good luck to those who eat at Garcia’s! Watch for Bones, Bring your own chile sauce and chips, and seasoning. And don’t forget to «Double» check your food BEFORE you walk out that door! Their Parking«SUCKS»! Exiting SUCKS! ** We’re told by many people of all other races that because of our language«Handicap» they look at us like we’re «White Americans», which the Bad Blood goes back many years to the Mexican-American/Revolutionary War, but that was many Moons ago right? And as history tells us, the British, Nazi’s, Japanese and other Countries tried to take over America, We don’t treat these or other people this way, and we don’t HATE anybody! That’s what God put us here, right? I learned at 3 yrs old that we should help & treat others with by my Grandmother. Note: We are NOT Prejudice, especially towards Mexicans, our ancestors are from Mexico. But we Love All People! And we’re Proud to be *Chicanos» from ELA, and Proud of our ancestors. We just never learned Spanish from our parents, grandparents, or other relatives. But it’s Not our Fault, right?). We’re 4th generation born here in the USA. And where else would we as Human Beings rather live? Iran, Iraq or a communist country, where we’ll be killed cause of our Race, Color, or Faith? Point made.

If you like food with no flavor than this is the place for you! I ordered the asada torta and asada burrito, they both had no seasoning at all. I got chicken nuggets for my son, the waitress came to ask if I needed anything and I said ranch, she never brought it. It took 15 minutes for my food to be ready. Tortas and burritos do not take that long to make. Definitely will not come back here!

Well thanx to Unilocal,I was on my way to that«michoacan» place across the street, when I saw Garcia’s Tacos. Made a u-turn and parked in their lot decorated with water-conscious landscape. Cute places, clean, GREAT service and generous portions. Went there for breakfast and food was good! This place has been open for 7 months. Sandra and Maria came over to our table to offer the place as the next meeting spot for my mother’s senior citizen club. Try the Chilaquiles in green sauce ! (took off 1 star because their rice was too dry for my tastes)

While waiting for my son’s barber shop appointment we crossed the street and decided to have dinner at Garcia’s. First off, the place is really clean which I liked. The cashier was very sweet and personable and offered excellent customer service. My son ordered green enchiladas which were a bit too spicy for him and the staff switched them for us and gave my son some water without us having to ask. I ordered the enchiladas suizas and the combination plate was so huge and very delicious. Also, their complimentary chips and salsa were tasty. The fresh flowers on each table were a nice touch as well. We will definitely come back to this restaurant!

3 ½ stars. First time here. Girls ordered taquitos kids meal. Son ordered bean n cheese burrito. I ordered Carne asada n carnitas soft tacos, and hubby ordered Carne asada Torta. Verdict: Carne asada tasty, not the best but good. Carnitas taco too greasy. Torta had plenty of ingredients that combined into a scrumptious bite every time. Kids loved Taquitos. I would have preferred they serve rice instead of fries. Tell kids to be careful w first bite, one of my girls burned her mouth. Bean n cheese burrito was great. Not too greasy and finally made right! With Monterey Jack cheese! Chips needed salt and would taste better warm or fresh. Salsa that comes w chips is tasty, but would be excellent if they added a bit more chile. Salsa bar is a typical salsa bar. Place is v clean n great service. Will definitely be back as kids enjoyed their food here, and adults were satisfied. Advice: make carnitas less greasy. Guacamole bit tastier, salsa w more chile, serve different type of ketchup. Kids hated ketchup.

It is a good place to eat and enjoy with your family. Saludos y recuerden: ¡¡¡YAESHORADESERFELIZ!!!

Today after church at Calvary Chapel of Montebello, we were looking to find a restaurant has affordable prices and serving good food that we can enjoy, but we found one it called Garica’s Tacos just a block from Mi Sabroso Michoacan another great Mexican restaurant we have try. I remember this restaurant we supposed to eat but my Unilocal app recommend Mi Sabroso Michoacan, I told my wife next we have to try Garica’s Tacos. Today have come try eat at Garica’s Tacos. The restaurant is on the corner of Olympic blvd and Maple But I’m not sure I know it on the corner. The restaurant is really nice and interior is also nice. The menu is very readable and the prices are not bad but affordable. We were thinking what to get I was looking at menu, the Flautas looks really good plus I can choice any kind of meat, I decided to get chicken. My wife order a carne asada tortas for her drink, she order Agua fersca of watermelon. The waitress brought us complimentary chips and salsa. Couple of minutes later our have just arrive, the food look really amazing my flautas plate looks awesome. My wife carne asada tortas looks good. The four Flautas was amazing good nice with a golden color knowing that there going to a crunch I was right. The chicken was overcook or over fried it was cook perfect. The Flautas comes with guamole on top and with lettuce and comes with rice and beans plus sour cream on the side. The rice and bean were good with a good flavor. My wife enjoy her torta she it taste fresh including the carne asada. Overall we like Garica’s Tacos they make the food fresh to order we enjoyed the food and the service. I recommend Garica’s Tacos to my family and friends and My Unilocal friends.

Very tasty homemade food. My boyfriend ordered the pozole which was a good size bowl and came with fresh made tostada shells. I ordered chilaquiles and my plate was huge! The beans tasted like my grandma makes! The chilaquiles were hot in a good way. Service was friendly! Definitely coming back.

Our first time here. I’ll give them stars at the end. The AC doesn’t work well in the back by the booths. The staff is nice. They even come clear the tables when they aren’t too busy. What? A Mexican place with no horchata? :D My boyfriend says the asada is nothing to write home about. It was lacking flavor. He likes the cabeza, though. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained.

Came here with the family and the food is good nothing to special. Homemade taste and the shrimp from the cocktail we ordered was clean. We had ordered a Campechana but they didn’t have all the ingredients to make it so they downgraded us to a shrimp cocktail(they did give us the difference $). The burritos are not big standard size and the torta needed a little more meat. We will go back to try other dishes.
