Went in to take my Minolta I had got online just to make sure nothing was wrong with it. Turned out it just needed batteries and my flash needed some tweaking. The nice man working here knows his stuff! He helped me out more than I needed and gave me some helpful pointers! I’ll be back for sure he has really great customer service and I couldn’t of left happier! I would highly recommend him if you need any help with your cameras or need to convert your vhs to DVDs he also does that as well.(:

Got my passport photo taken at this place earlier today. The man was very nice. I called the store before going there. He told me it will only take 5 minutes, and it actually did. I was very satisfied with the service. I found out that he also restores old photos, which I have a lot. I’m thinking of bringing them over so he could restore them. He mentioned that he’s been doing this buisness for 37 years now, if my memory served me right. His buisness did not stick around for so long for no reason.

Beverly Camera is the funnest camera shop I’ve every been to. There is SO much to look at! The owner Hamlet is so helpful. I had an old Nikon camera that I thought was hopelessly broken. I took it to Hamlet, who had an almost impossibly hard to find part right there in his shop. I’ve been a loyal customer every since. Recently, my mother found some video tapes of when my brother was a baby that she had forgotten about. I took them to Hamlet to transfered them seamlessly to DVD in less than a day(about 20 tapes). Love this place!

Why is this place still in business? The guy reminds me of a stubborn old man who doesn’t want to get«up to date» with the 21st century. Everything he has in his shop is useless unless you need an old pos camera from 1994. He doesn’t sell anything that has to do with Canon, Nikon, or any of the other top brand digital SLR cameras. Time to close up shop old man.

I have been to this place several times. The owner is so sweet and helpful. They have EVERYTHING here. It’s a dream store for any photographer. Awesome part too… he does instant passport size photos! I will keep giving my business to this place! As for the one star review based on parking… read the signs bro! It does say«PARKINGFORBEVERLYCAMERAONLY, ALLOTHERSWILLBETOWED.» Don’t try to make it seem like you went in there to «look for something.» LoL. BTW… what store did you go «across the street» to? If you’re talking about the shopping center ACROSSTHESTREET, they have plenty of parking. You could have moved your car. Good job, Montebello PD. :-D

LOVE Beverly Camera! My family I have been going there for over 20 years and have always been treated like family! I’ve sent friends over and they have always been completely happy. They always have what you need and the personal touch is something you cannot get when you go to one of the big chain stores. I no longer live in the area, but when I recently dropped my very expensive Nikon and cracked the body and the lens, I drove half hour out of my way because they are the ONLY ones I would trust my camera with. The whole thing was repaired/replaced within a week at half the price I thought I’d have to pay. I would NEVER go anywhere else! This is EXACTLY what a local business should be! Caring, efficient, and professional! HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!

This guy who runs this place is a parking Nazi. If you don’t buy something from him he calls the parking police who immediately runs out and issue you parking citation. I popped my head in to see if they did what I was looking for and they did not so I went across the street to the market to grab a bite and he calls the parking police. When I question him he said you not here to shop… you didn’t obey the signs your in violation oh well… what a scumbag. His place had many parking with 2 cars parked in them… besides that there is plenty of parking and he situated on a multi building complex which is not very clear who owns what… IN any event if you don’t buy anything from him and happen to park there and go someplace else eventhough you did step in the shop… it will cost you $ 70.
