I go shopping at this store like once a week, and I like to go super early, by that I mean when the places just opens. Recently they changed their opening time from 6 am to 5 am at the request of the Starbucks inside. Almost all of the staff here is very friendly and nice, I always see this one checker bright and early in the mornings on the weekend, her name is Lupe, a very nice lady, and we always chat when I am making my purchase. She has also helped me a few times, by making sure my totals were correct, if sale items were prices right, and so on. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I work right next to an Albertson’s market; but I like shop at this one to show my support for this location because I feel it has better employees here.

Very clean store. I always find what I’m looking for but the lady at the bakery is super rude and the lady at Starbucks too. I don’t even get Starbucks anymore cause she’s so mean.

My first time here and I got accused of stealing alcohol lmao I couldn’t believe it myself. The manager was rude as hell and she didn’t want to show me proof of me «stealing» what the fuck is wrong with you people and since when is it okay to accuse whoever of such serious crime just like that. Really, I was just trying to buy some Scooby snacks when she came and disturbed my peace. She refused to explain anything to me and kicked me out. Whatever, I had nothing to lose. Some people take their $ 10/hr job too seriously.

One of the few Albertson left in SGV. This place is a full line store with a bakery and meat and seafood section.

I came her for the first time! They don’t have a meat department that Sucks only seafood the rest is pre package but I was not able to find chicken only red meat and I walk the whole store I was able to find some in the frozen section. Overall it was okay but I wouldn’t come back her maybe only for liquor.

They never answered their phone. I’ve called 6 times for the deli department. Just keeps ringing. They need to have people answering phones.

I love the store overall. There is nothin to be said about the prices or the customer-cashier relations. I’ve known some cashiers to be quite funny and made the experience enjoyable. However for the Starbucks inside is another matter. There was once an issue with my order and the manager of the Starbucks gave me a hissy fit as if I made her day quite uncomfortable. Regardless I tried to stay positive and push through the correction and get my order right. But that experience is enough for me to reconsider going to Albertsons due to starbucks being in the way to the store.

I like Albertson’s in general, and this particular Albertson’s in particular. My favorite food is their Tri Tip Roast Beef, it is magnificent. I buy a whole cooked roast at the deli section, and a fresh baked loaf of French bread and make several meals out of it. Ralph’s deli section doesn’t offer cooked in store roast beef, only cold cuts. Just about everything is slightly more expensive at Albertson’s than Ralph’s, but worth the difference. I like the service at the Montebello Albertson’s, the staff at the deli counter is always pleasant, the clerks at check out are also very polite and efficient. The Albertson’s on Commonwealth in Alhambra has the same products, but the cashiers aren’t as friendly. I’ve called the manager, and mentioned it to several cashiers. I’ve had cashiers not acknowledge me at all. Not say hello, nor even look at me while they total up my purchases. No «thank you,» no «did you find everything you were looking for.» Never an offer to help me with my purchases to my vehicle. Nada. And this is not a one time happening, its a set pattern if rudeness.

Store is clean and big, I love how there is a Starbucks inside. But I do not like how the security lady followed my mom around the store like she was going to steal something. I don’t think costumers should be treated like that. My mom has never stole anything in her life and for her to be followed as if she was going to steal is wrong. All she went to do was go buy some groceries that we needed. I bet the security felt stupid when she saw my mom pay for everything and the bill was not cheap. Instead they should be following the people who are actually doing dumb things.

There is only one set of doors in and out, that is kind of weird for such a big store. Pretty nice veggies. A lot of veggies bagged and individually wrapped. They have a small organic section. Okay looking meat. Nice looking baked items. Redbox in store. If I lived here, I would probably use this place over the others in the area. Starbucks inside!!!

Do not go to Albertsons. Go to Smart & Final Extra across the street. Albertsons is overpriced, and there are usually long lines with only 3 lanes open, and once I went there to buy a bottle of wine — one item, in the express lane — and watched as the guy in front of me loaded FORTY-THREE items onto the conveyor belt. I shouldn’t have counted; or, since I couldn’t resist counting, I should’ve said something to him. But I didn’t. So I’m venting on Unilocal instead. Anyway, most of the reason you should not go here is that you can buy 4x the amount of groceries for the same price at Smart & Final Extra, right across the street.

We prefer to shop here because of the friendly staff and fun little shopping carts for my 2yo daughter. Produce and bakery are excellent. It would be 5 stars but lately if you go about an hr before closing they have the entrance blocked off and u have to enter through the exit which wouldn’t be a problem if you didn’t have to also walk around a Starbucks kiosk just to get to the bakery/produce that is right next to the entrance!!! Also it seems like the manager, a brunette lady is to busy trying to manage the cashiers that she forgets about customer service and using my coupons.

This location used to be a Max Foods. When Albertson’s took over, they remodeled a bit, but the interior still looks dated. It’s not super fancy like some other Albertson’s i’ve been to, but at least it’s clean and spacious. They do have a Starbucks inside the store, but lack a pharmacy. CVS is a couple doors down though. I only come here because it’s convenient and it’s one of three full service markets in the area. The other two being Smart & Final Express and Super A. I guess Von’s is close enough too, but the parking lot there is horrendous.

Best market in Montebello. Be sure to try some freshly baked bagels; they’re probably the best on the east side. Come by 9am because they get snatched up real quick(probably by my dad and I). I especially love the organic produce section that has a larger selection than Vons. I always come here when I spontaneously decide to become a vegetarian for a week to stock up on ingredients for fresh salads and what not. There’s a Starbucks inside and there are self check-outs.

Yep, this market is so convenient for all the downtown employees that take the ride home in traffic, it’s worth getting off the freeway to pick up a few things. It appears that this one has more stuff than the one where I live. It’s always empty, which is nice because I expect to see more people like me getting off work & getting some items on their way home. The employees were friendly & helpful and its always clean. My only beef is w/all Albertson’s, their prices are consistly steep, but when they have an item/certain brand name products on sale, its a good by & worth going in just for that reason.
