Local and organic grocery items with special attention to gluten free products and vegan options. We also have a small but comprehensive yarn shop, a greenhouse and plant room with live plants, organic gardening supplies, local arts and crafts, books, and a few antiques scattered about. For lunch we offer a fresh juice bar in our Crescent Café located out back.
History
Established in 2012.
We are located in a revitalized general store building, built in 1939, that also served as the residence of the proprietor. Realizing a need for these essential natural and organic products locally as well as an outlet for local producers to make available their products to the public, Mooney’s was born. We began with a cooler full of locally produced goat cheese, and some locally handspun yarn and antiques on consignment. In the brief time we have been open our walls are nearly bursting, filled with great products found nowhere else in the area.
