Come on down to the Rio Café! See us Tuesday-​Friday for take and bake comfort food. We will be serving casseroles, soups, stews and more to warm you up in the coming winter months.

Weather permitting — Saturday and Sunday we will see you bright and early for a slamming breakfast and a hot cup of our Guatemala and Nicaragua blend house coffee!

Missed breakfast? No problem, we will be serving up an array of our famed hot dogs and sausages, burgers, and specialty sandwiches. See you at the Rio!

If you are visiting the area you have to check this place out. The food is to die for. The Mac & Cheese balls were incredible. We also tried the burgers, fried chicken, and one of their specialty hot dogs. They have great local coffee and even serve beer and wine. The café is connected to a really cool theater that plays current big name indie movies. We want to go back to see «room» when it opens. We heard they host events there too, like a Super Bowl viewing party (too bad we missed that). I can honestly say I’ve never seen a café like this. It is definitely a gem in the area and you won’t be disappointed if you stop in for a bite (or even just a drink on their patio)

Quick, convenient, tasty, friendly and the owners are handsomely sweet!
This is the only place I’ll stop on my commute from Occidental to Guerneville.
Always have something fresh and new on the menu. Try their pies! Or the lemon bundt cake today looks incredible!!!

OMG !!! This place is totally awesome !!
I have tried many items on the menu on different visits and I am always amazed. From the delicious breakfast burritos to the yummy pancakes. Oh let’s not forget to mention the amazing sandwiches of all types.
Then there is the AWESOME staff… Always so friendly and willing to help you out.
This place is a place I keep recommending and keep coming back too…

This place is great! If you are a fan of either dogs or hot dogs, the Rio Café is a treasure. The food is good — nothing fancy, but if you’re enjoying the Russian River valley and want breakfast or lunch without waiting on line with hundreds of other tourists, this is a great option. The large outdoor deck (with plenty of shade) is comfortable and relaxing. The food is tasty and prepared with love (I understand that they are upgrading their menu this fall). The deck is located right next to a very large, fenced dog-​run that is usually not crowded. If you have a dog, there are not many places where you can enjoy lunch after exercising your companion. Monte Rio’s river beach is accessible by a short walk from here.
