Sunshine Sam is a Battery-Free Toy Store For Kids Ages 1 – 101! We provide screen-free play, craft, STEM and STEAM options for the entire family. We also have classes and can hold a small birthday party. We were the recipient of the Silver Medal in the Best of Suburban Essex Contest in 2015.
History
Established in 2011.
Sunshine Sam started as a website. It was a created as a response to being unable to find non-commercial character-based toys for my son. I’ve researched small companies throughout the world to provide a curated collection of toys and games that promote creativity, free-play, use of imagination and TONS OF FUN for both parents and children. We now sell over 150 products, many from artists with small businesses.

Business Owner
My name is Marlene, and I am the owner of Sunshine Sam. My 9 year-old is the Junior CEO. We also have a «staff» of Kid Testers, who play with and review every product that comes into the store.
My background is in Marketing and Branding. I’ve worked for companies such as Seagram and LVMH. I was consultant for many years, working on branding campaigns designed to reach mothers.
