We specialize in the hand application of an Organic Airbrush Spray Tan which is 100% Organic, Alcohol and Chemical Free. It creates a golden and streak-​free tan and it lasts from 7 to 10 days. It’s the most health — conscious approach to tanning. The formula can be enhanced with organic fragrances such as chocolate, coconut, lemon, orange blossom or sweet almond. The process takes 20 minutes and there is no drying time. Golden skin makes you look healthy and beautiful and the product is great for the skin as well.

Established in 2009.

Everyone feels better with a little bit of color but all the ways to get a tan out there were bad for your skin and your health: the sun is only ok for no more than 20 minutes a day, the chemical spray tans are full of toxins and preservatives that damage your skin and go into your blood stream that’s why we opened Olive Organic Tan Spa where the spray tan is 100% organic made of fruits and vegetables and it contains no preservatives at all. This way you can love your skin nourishing it at the same time.

Business Owner

A former news reporter, creative director and filmmaker, Monika always longed to be a part of something bigger. A loss in her family lead to the creation of the H.U.G. Foundation in 2008, which focuses on the needs of underprivileged children.

She opened Olive Organic Tan Spa in 2009 and later O’live Organic Spa in NYC to promote healthy beauty and self-​love. Both businesses help fund the HUG Foundation. Olive Tan Spa uses exclusive and 100% organic formulation creating the only healthy option for a golden tan.

Color is great. Love Agnes. However, I’ve had few awful experiences of someone else just not showing up. It’s a terrible feeling to sit outside a business and they don’t show up. You’ve shaved your legs, you’ve tackled parking, you’ve emotionally prepared to stand in the nude… and then sit there for 5 minutes– you’re not a total jerk, then 10 minutes– maybe they’re just late, then 15 minutes– really what’s the deal, then 30 minutes– maybe you had the wrong appt time? Then, give up. The owner was very nice and offered a free spray, but I never went back. The Sun Spa rescued me and I’ve gone there ever since– couldn’t ask for a more well run business.

I had never been spray tanning before, but decided to get one on the way to a rehearsal dinner for a wedding I was in. (Note: maybe not the best idea.) I am a fair skinned woman that had some bad tan lines I was hoping to cover, so we did medium. I think it was a bit dark for me until the second day, but I was very happy with the glow and coverage I received. It also smelled pleasant and did not feel sticky or uncomfortable.
Agnes was so lovely to work with– she was quick and also took the time to explain why we were doing certain things. Being naked in front of someone is always a bit uncomfortable, but she had a lovely sense of humor and was very comforting.

I had an appointment at Olives at 430 for a spray tan. When I arrived the place was dark and nobody was there. I waited 30 minutes. No one showed up! The place was dark. I tried calling and left several messages. No one took the time to call me back. Terrible customer service. Very disappointed.

WOW! All I can say! I just came back from my appointment with Agnes and she was amazing!!! SO nice and friendly!!! I can honestly say that their salon takes the time and prides themselves in making sure the customer is happy, which is what I feel a lot of places lack nowadays. I have done Mystic Booth spray tans and other spray tans at local salons and I end up looking like I left Willy Wonka’s candy land or from another race. I love that I feel confident with this spray tan! I got the light color. Agnes took the time to listen to the look I wanted and knew what to do. She took the time to spray me and it was a little chilly so she used the blow drier to make it warmer on my skin. Agnes also make sure all parts of my body were covered and not missed. The spray tan smelled nice and I love that it isn’t made from chemicals and is organic! I also love that I can look at myself in the mirror and not look like a completely different person. I can’t wait to see how it looks tomorrow and I will be back!

I have had nothing but great experiences here. Agnes is absolutely fantastic and the nicest person ever. She immediately puts you at ease which is a plus when you’re standing there nearly naked. I love that the product is all natural and organic. I have been very pleased with both the service and the tans I have received. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Went here today with a friend to do a trial before we decided what to do for her wedding. We were both excited because it is organic! So that put us both at ease. As soon as we entered we were greeted by Annette. She was very sweet and suggested a color for both of us, medium/​light. My friend and I are very pale and it was our first time trying spray tanned so we were nervous. Annette really made the experience pleasant and made us feel very comfortable. I showered 8 hours later and my color still looks fabulous! My friend said the same! We will most definitely be coming back for her upcoming bridal events!!!

I do love this place, the girls are awesome, the tan stays on better than most spray tans i have ever had BUT the last 2 appts i had in the past year have both been at 9 am (1st appt of the day) and the first time the girl has been up to 15 minutes late to open the shop and this past time they never showed up at ALL and i even got a email confirmation! Ruined my entire day since i have an event tonight… Hair & nail appts had to be rearranged!

I had my first spray tan here yesterday by Annette. I have done Mystic Tan and Versa Spa and was satisfied with the results, but hoped that a personalized airbrush tan would look more natural and flawless. I booked an appt. online for Olive after reading Unilocal.
When I arrived, Annette was bubbly and friendly and filled me in on the process, as well as asked me some questions about my desired tan. The space is very relaxing and private, so I felt totally comfortable.
We decided on a medium tan. We then went into a smaller room where I changed into my underwear (you can wear nothing, if desired). She sprayed me in a few different positions and dried me with a hairdryer. She also used a brush and powder to prepare areas that tend to sweat. It cost $ 48 and went quickly.
It has been 19 hours since my spray (tan takes 6 – 8 to develop, 24 for max results) and I love the color. My legs, stomach, arms and back look beautifully bronzed — not orange. Great news: none of the tan came off on my white sheets!
The only thing I’m dissatisfied with is my wrists/​sides of my hands — for some reason they are darker brown and splotchy. I also wish I asked for my face to be sprayed an extra time or two. Right now, it is much lighter than my body even though I haven’t washed either. I prefer my face to be very tan because then I can skimp on my makeup! However, with a bit of bronzer, I’m sure it’ll match up.
Overall, it was a fun and luxurious experience. I love my tan and now know what to ask for next time I go. I would definitely go back.

This was my second time going to Olive. I arrived 30 min early to my appointment (thought traffic would have been heavier during rush hour) and they we are to accommodate me early.
This time I used Kim. I explained to her that my last tan a was a little to dark in the face area, and she said she was able to make it so it want this time.
During the process, Kim was very professional, personable and did a great job! Being what I noticed as a very detailed oriented person, Kim made sure she covered every spot and made sure that I was happy with the end result. She did mention that they save some type of tan numbering in their computers so that when you go back if it was too dark or too light they know what was used last and can adjust accordingly.
I would definitely recommend Olive to anyone looking for this type of service. They are priced decently, and worth every penny.

Came here a day before I flew out to Mexico.
The place is small but very efficient.
The owner is lovely — she went over everything that I needed to know about my spray tan.
She didn’t miss a spot and was sure to blow dry (and powder) my body before I left.
By the time I got to Mexico I had a delicious tan. Color was very natural (but a bit wonky around the my ankles — prob my fault)
I would use Olive again in a heartbeat!
OH and it’s been 15 days since my tan and I still have remnants of it.

I was so nervous… and shy because I never had a spray tan before. Monika is friendly, wonderful, and very professional! She explained everything perfectly and answered all of my questions (i was so nervous– so I asked a ton!).
When I was about to leave it started pouring out… and she drove me to my car so my new tan wouldn’t get ruined. It was so sweet of her to do that for me!
About the tan: I have a light skin tone, and had sun poisoning on my face several times. I was soooo scared of turning orange, especially on my face. The tan that I walked out with… was gorgeous… my skin had a natural glow! I recieved so many compliments. even weeks after. No streaks/​blotches. no horrible chemical smells (you get to pick your own scent)…great experience! Also when the tan started to fade –it was very gradual and natural.
I tell everyone I know — if they need a spray tan to go to Olive! (Plus its organic– can’t get any better than that!)
Wonderful customer service and amazing natural looking tan!
Totally worth every penny.
Update:
I used Agnes for my tan needs and makeup for my wedding. Everything looked FLAWLESS. I strongly recommend Olive tan for not only beautiful spray tans… but for special event make up. The make up for my wedding was absolutely gorgeous!

I LOVE Olive and go for their airbrushed spray tan anytime I have an event and I wish I could go more often! The color is not «orangey» at all but rather a natural, sunkissed tan that makes your skin absolutely glow. I have ridiculously sensitive skin that breaks out just about anytime I put a new product on it. However, the organic products they use actually improve my skin which of course I LOVE! Last but not least, the owner and tanning gals (hey Monika and Agnes!) are lovely, put you at ease and are very efficient. I HIGHLY recommend it. If you try it once I guarantee you’ll be hooked especially when people ask where you went on vacation or the always nice to hear «did you lose weight?».

This place makes me want to spray tan not just for a special occasion but constantly! The color lasts nearly 2 weeks for me!
The ladies that work here are lovely and make you feel very comfortable and relaxed. The products they use smell great and are worlds apart from sticky, stinky spray tan booths. A great cozy little place too! It’s a little confusing in the lobby of the building so bring the number so you can call and they can buzz you in.

This is my first review of a non-​restaurant so that is already saying something.
I didn’t know what I was missing when it comes to a spray tan until I came here.
It was too difficult booking an appointment at the place that I had previously gone to and they weren’t being friendly or accommodating on the phone so I took to Unilocal to find somewhere else.
Olive Organic was the first place that popped up with 5 stars so I decided to give it a try. It was a complete 180 from the 1st place.
The first place was a regular tanning salon where the girl brought me into a bathroom with a backdrop to spray me. After the spray, I noticed blotches under my arms from when the girl had me raising and lowering my arms, and when I asked about them the girl told me to «scrub hard.»
At Olive Organic the experience was much more professional. Since they are only organic airbrush tanning, they had nicely decorated individual rooms. I got to pick the scent of the spray too! Besides just spraying me, I got blow dried, dabbed, and powdered (such a difference from the first place). The lady was really nice and gave me a bunch of tips for aftercare. The result was a natural looking tan with no blotches!
I’ve already received compliments and will definitely return!
