MMO Programs opened in 1982 as a non-sectarian, non-profit child care and nursery school program. MMO is fully licensed by the State of New Jersey. Through it’s programs, both full and part– time, Infant Care (6 weeks to 17 months), My Morning Out (18 months to 2 ½ years), Nursery Years (2 ½ to 3), Pre-Kindergarten and Summer Days (3 — 6 year olds), it serves approximately 150 children per year whose families live and work in Montclair, and the surrounding communities.
MMO’s main objective is to foster the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child within the community of the classroom. Our low adult/child ratios enable MMO to provide a warm and nurturing environment that stimulates both physical and mental creativity, discovery, inquiry and problem solving.
We offer full and part-time programs for all ages. MMO is open year round from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm and offers both a full year and school year calenda
History
Established in 1982.
MMO was started by the First Congregational Church of Montclair in the early 80’s as an outreach program offering a «mother’s morning out» to familes in the community. Since that time MMO has grown to include full and part-time care for infants through Pre-K, a fully licensed high quality early childhood education program and summer camp. MMO grew from 1 classroom to 6, with a gym as well as a large fully equipped outdoor playground as well as full and part-time program options. MMO provides a strong developmentally appropriate educational foundation that respects the individual child. MMO’s main objective is to foster the social, emotional, intelletual and physical development of each chilld within the community of the classroom.
