Chelsea Square is one of the few small independent stores selling the entire line of Kiehl’s products locally. We carry a wonderful selection of bath and body care items for women, men and children. Crabtree & Evelyn, Caswell-​Massey, Geo F. Trumper, Art of Shaving, Ahava, Claus Porto and Kneipp are some of the amazing brands available. In addition, sachets, candles and heat/​freeze therapy pillows make great gifts. Custom gifts can be created in baskets, bags and containers as well as free gift wrap year round!

History

Established in 1978.

Chelsea Square was originally named «Caswell-​Massey of Montclair» (1978 – 1980) and located nearby on Valley Road. When the original owner decided to carry Kiehl’s in 1980, it was suggested she change the name of the business and give up the franchise. Since 1980, the store has been in the same location as «Chelsea Square». It was sold in 2001 to the present owner who still carries bath and body care products/​gifts.

Good quality soap has been a part of my life for as long as I could remember and I initially shopped for it at «Chelsea Square»! I was a Media Specialist for 12 years in the Montclair School District but always knew there was a different career out there for me. When the opportunity presented itself for me to buy the business there was little hesitation. It was a joyful challenge learning every aspect of running a business with little previous retail experience. Montclair has been my home since 1984 and there really is no place I would rather live and run my fabulous store.
