I get all my feeders here at good prices all animals seem to be in the best conditions and its the only place i choose to go to get my feeders to my reptiles

Really amazing reptile shop. Even if you don’t have any reptiles of your own, the variety and sheer size of some of the animals they have in the collection are stunning. Facilities are also kept clean and tidy.
The only things that I found to be issues were the prices of the reptile supplies and the selection. I made the trip to purchase a small heating pad, only to find them way over retail value and in only a make that could be used on glass where I needed something that could be adhered to plastic. Heating bulbs were quite overpriced as well.
Overall, I do recommend if you need a supply in a pinch or if you want reptile advice from the staff who were very helpful. Also, to check out «Tiny!»

This is a great place for reptile enthusiast. Very great employee Crystal. She ensures quality customer service. I don’t mind the drive at all coming from sgv when there is this kind of knowledge and service for my reptiles.

This place rocks!!! Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. It is great that they take the time to make sure you are thinking of the right reptile for your life style. Christal and Mike helped us with our rescued Burmese who was very sick and full of mites. Now thanks to their help and knowledge she is beautiful and very healthy. They are always willing to help make sure your new pet goes home with the right setup to live a long and healthy life. Thanks guys you rock!!!

I bought my first pet baby snake and within weeks I was still confused I took my whole cage including snake to the reptile store and Steven spent almost 2 hours helping us and making us comfortable teaching us everything we needed to know! I’m so happy with the service! This shop has my business

First came to this shop after inheriting a leopard gecko from a family relative. They helped me get all the things I needed to keep him healthy, and told me how to take care of him.
After that first informative visit I have gone back for 5 bearded dragons and 3 ball pythons, and continuously gotten feeders from them. Each time I have gotten all the equipment and knowledge needed to take care of my new reptile obsession. They are reasonable on pricing, and honestly, you can’t put a price tag on years of knowledge.
Most of the reptiles I purchased have been bred by the employees themselves, or in house. and have all been extremely healthy animals. They have a large selection from entry level, to high end exotic pets. I have read other reviews from customers, that have had bad experiences with their sales rep, its my time to chime in… let me start it like this, They are passionate about reptiles and in my opinion, experts. They are passionate about reptiles, and with ensuring that your precious pets are well taken care of. They don’t intentionally mean to come off un-​welcoming, but try to be as informative as possible and include as much info they can in a short period of time, and simplify it, straight to the point, no b.s. (There’s so much info on reptiles). They are helpful and genuinely good people. As for mike, he is a busy man. Yes he is quiet, however if he does get the chance to help, he may not talk much, but he will insure that you and your animals, are well taken care of, and will help you the best he can.(for example: I purchased a 4×2×2 melamine tank, and mike helped me load and secure it into my truck, after giving me a little price break!!) The other staff may not get a chance to say «hi welcome to amazon reptiles, what can I do for you?» Running a reptile store with living stock is a ton of work, every time I walk in, I am greeted as soon as I have been seen, and told that they would be right with me if they were busy. I continue to go back to this shop because of their exceptionally knowledgeable staff, solid feeders (which can be ordered in bulk), healthy animals, and an overall cleanliness of the store.
Advice: if you are looking for a reptile, skip the big name pet store, and go see these guys. They eat, sleep, and breathe reptiles. If you go to them, as long as you take their advice, you will have a happy healthy reptile (s).

Since I’ve moved to Ontario from Lake Forest, I’ve had a hell of a time getting mice for my Ball Python.
Not Any More!!!
Dominic (I’m bad with names, I hope I got it right!) took my call and explained everything very clearly. Going in, he got my mice, put them to sleep and packaged them individually, something I’ve NEVER seen before, but it makes it MUCH easier to use them, so I could freeze them when I got home. Talk about fresh! Then it came time to check out… The price? FANTASTIC!!! Best price I’ve ever seen!!!
While waiting for the mice to go to sleep, I looked through the store. It’s obvious that these people really care about their animals and want to make sure they live long, happy lives, rather than make a big sale.
And the best thing… They’re right around the corner from me!!!

Fantastic shop. I stop in every couple of weeks to buy feeder crickets. Shop is clean and nice. Animals they have for sale look extremely healthy and well kept.

Came in to Amazon reptile center to check out the baby bearded dragons. They had a vast variety of baby’s from regulars to hypos and leatherbacks from all price ranges. So when I went back the next day to purchase my dragon from them I couldn’t have been more pleased. When I asked to buy the baby red bearded dragon the employee Steven was very helpful but also had questions for me so that I had everything I needed to care for the beardie. That was great to know that they just don’t wanna sell the animals but want them to go to a good home and to knowledgeable owners. He helped me a lot and answered all my questions. Gave me lots of tips and suggested better bulbs and feeders for my bearded dragon. Really showed interest in the buyer and I can tell he knows his stuff and has a passion for what he does. I will definitely be coming back every time and I don’t live that close but the drive from Rialto to Montclair is definitely worth it. Highly recommended shop for all things reptile.

A few months ago I was ready to buy my kids another tortoise since Rocky our first one died (we got him from another shop with one red light). I walked in and was greeted right away by the employee’s. After looking at their huge selection of reptiles for a few minutes, Steve came up and asked if we had any questions. I told him we wanted a tortoise and he quickly asked what I had for a set up. I told him that I had everything the tortoise needed (Sand, a red light, and a tank). Steve then explained that tortoises are like humans and need the sun. They require UVB, heat, and Calcium D3 when kept in doors. At that point i realized I likely killed Rocky with poor care and set up. So I listened to all the information Steve had to offer. He added that a tortoise wasn’t the best pet for handling which my son wanted a pet to handle. He showed us bearded dragons and leopard geckos at that point. After all the help and knowledge Steve had to offer I decided to get my daughter a Leopard tortoise and a bearded dragon for my son. Steve was very helpful and assured me that he and Amazon would be there to help us with any problems or questions we may have about our new pets. Not to knock Steve on his knowledge and help but the whole crew was knowledgeable as I overheard the information another employee gave about a chameleon to another family. The staff are great and helpful. The owner works in the shop and is great too. Definitely recommend Amazon if you want a reptile and great knowledge. Also I looked up care online for the tortoise and dragon, and just like Steve said they need the special lights and calcium. Thank you Amazon for all the help and the complete and PROPER set ups for our 2 new pets (family members) and I would recommend Steve to anyone interested in getting a tortoise or bearded dragon.

Staff is rude. I just spoke with Steven. Learn how to speak to people with respect. I still come in anyways for small rats, but I am not comfortable coming here, I don’t feel welcomed. If I ask a question about my Savannah Monitor I get attitude with the answer they give, like I should already know the answer. Work on your customer service, Amazon.

Stopped by a week ago, my first visit. First off I was very impressed with the large selection of animals and equipment they have available. Everything you would need for any of their reptiles.
The staff were all friendly MD knowledgeable and helped me pick out the right size feeders for my ball pythons.
I look forward to visiting frequently for feeders and supplies and eventually more reptiles.

There are certain characteristics that define reptile pet owners, so note the no-​frills more serious tone of this place. Staff here are super informative, but be prepared to know a thing or two about proper animal care — this isn’t your commercial pet store trying to push sales, they actually care about the quality of life their animals will get as reptiles tend to be trickier pets to own. I enjoyed perusing their collection while waiting for my large order of feeder mice; it’s the first reptile shop I’ve ever been to that had as many pets as they do and at reasonable prices.
Although Amazon is almost an hour drive for me, it is so worth it. I’ve had my BP for more than a year now and just couldn’t find any where in LA that sold healthy, pre-​killed feeder mice for a great price. They breed all of their feeders themselves here and are healthy. You can either get them live or pre-​killed using C02. Larger retired breeder mice (which they rarely have because they sell quick) are $ 2, and smaller ones (about 17 grams give or take) are $ 1.20, but can be discounted 15% if you spend over $ 50 (which is easy for reptile care), that comes to a little over $ 1 for a mouse! That is a very good price! I ended up leaving with twenty retired breeder mice and thirty feeders pre-​killed and sealed to stick in my freezer.
I definitely will be coming back here as soon as Snakey needs a refill.

I was spending the better part of my day here after eating some delicious all you can eat sushi at the best sushi restaurant in the I.E. thinking about spending about $ 400 — $ 500 on a baby leopard tortoise with all the necessary equipment until Mike the owner messed everything up.
I saw the stellar reviews this place got so I wanted a fun experience. I mean how in the world do you ruin someone’s day when they’ve just come out of one of the best sushi restaurants??? WTF.
Let me give you the break down, and it’s really hard to break me down because I consider myself very patient, calm and professional with people in public especially when my fiancé is around. Why would I writing a freaking review taking time out of my day instead of playing Call of Duty Advanced Warfare that just came out yesterday for the PS4??? :
I come into the store, and was randomly approached by Mike the owner while inside for about 10 minutes with my fiancé. I did not know he was the owner until he bragged about how he owned snakes, but then all the pets in the store were technically his because he is the owner. He gets 1 star instead of ZERO because he at least told me when I asked him what I needed for the tortoise, and had some knowledge to tell me what I required.
THAT’S WHERE ALL THE POSITIVES END.
I’m in front of him about to check out, and I pause to ask him a legitimate question as a customer: «Do you price match with Petco?» He answers: «That depends if it’s an online exclusive.» I show him the ad, and answer that it is not (because the online exclusives say online exclusive below the item). He then adds that after Petco’s shipping and tax it will be at least $ 10 more than Petco’s advertised price. I already knew this (duh), and was not asking him anything about shipping or tax, and I could just easily walk down the store to Petco and get it with no shipping involved…
This is what I wanted to buy:
at Petco which sold it for $ 109, and he had it listed for $ 126 at the store as a «Special.» I understand it is a small shop, and that small business owners need to make a margin for profit because I am a small business owner myself. I bet he didn’t know that either.
Anyways not to get off tangent, but he really started to piss me off (I was hiding my emotions and being professional the entire time) when he said he would do it for $ 119, and I said «Great! Thanks, but I am not going to buy the UV light for $ 50, and let him know that I wanted to remove the item after looking at Petco’s price of $ 10 cheaper. He really pissed me off when it felt like he was interrogating me with:
„Well I’m only giving you this marginal discount on this terranium tank because I thought you were going to get all of this together as a bundle. Why are you skipping on the UV light?“
To this I started thinking why do you care? I can get anything I choose to buy or not and I answered: „Oh, I’m just thinking about it to buy at a later time“ Then he replies that he can’t sell the pet without everything it needs, and that if I’m trying to get a discount at Petco rest assured they can’t help me with all the experience they have with reptiles.»
At this point it was ridiculously AWKWARD… and then I just told him «You know what I’ll come back for the equipment later, and I’m the customer so I can pick and choose what I want to buy when I want to, so I’ll just get the tortoise, the heat lamp, bulb, wood accessories, and some calcium and multivitamin supplements», which rounded to be exactly $ 200. I went straight to Petco next door after that to get the rest of the stuff spending $ 250 for everything I wanted and then some for being friendly. Treat a customer right Mike because you just lost a customer you could have had for life.
I went in wanting to spend twice the amount I just spent at your store today even after you pissed me off, embarrassed me in front of your employees and my fiancé, and ruined my short leisure time after an extremely stressful day at work. I even tried to help your business by letting you what I did for a living just as we approached the counter, and offered to help you out on your credit card swiper machine and the rates, which you blatantly embarrased me about in front of your employee by brushing me off and saying that you get calls everyday about it, and that everyone says they can give you a better rate. To that response I asked Mike if he knew any of the people who called him, and he replied «No.» I am your customer, and I have an incentive to help you, but knowing what I know about your crappy ass attitude and your store-​it disgusts me that I even offered to help you on your rates. Consider my offer null and void, and I hope you really stop and think about how you lost a valuable customer today and $$$ at your greedy business because your attitude to upsell me just lost you a customer for life.

Keeping reptiles and amphibians (often referred to as «herps» by those in the know, a play on the term herpetology – the study of those creatures) is a specialized hobby. Sure, there are plenty of pet stores that sell baby ball pythons. Some may even carry a starter kit terrarium, substrate, ceramic crocks for water, and other accoutrements. But beyond a glossy one page care sheet that they’ll put in the bag with your receipt at checkout, few pet stores have any staff with more than the most basic knowledge of herps and their specific needs.
This is not the case at Amazon Reptile. This is a specialized store, filled with snakes, lizards, amphibians, and some inverts like tarantulas. The store is small but loaded with critters– ranging from dainty rainforest frogs and chameleons, to huge Burmese pythons and water monitors. There are reptiles here for every interest and ability level. A good selection of corn snakes, milk and king snakes, rosy boas, sand boas, and bearded dragons appeal to the novice, while exotics like tegus, boas, pythons, geckos, monitors, basilisks, tortoises, and legless lizards are just a few offerings for more experienced afficianados.
The back of the store has an active breeding program, as well as live feeders of all shapes and sizes available– crickets, mealworms, fruit flies, and rodents of all shapes and sizes.
Today, Seth was very kind and patient withy children, who were looking to add a Rosy Boa to our family. Seth took the time to explain the basics to my 6 year old son and my grabby two year old daughter. He answered questions, listened to my son’s excitement about reptiles, and was a real pro. The staff sexed the snake, gave it a feeding, and asked about the enclosure we had for the snake. These animals are not merely fed, they are loved and cared for. The animals seemed healthy and content.
There are also plenty of supplies, cages, vitamins and meds, lighting, and other needs for your pet.
Some of the cages at the store are pretty high– if you’re short, you may not see the stuff at the top. But from floor to ceiling, there is plenty to enjoy.
You could buy running shoes at WalMart, but if you’re serious about running, you visit a running store. If you’re serious about reptiles, or just want to get started with the right information and support, drop in to this store! We drove out from Arcadia, and I’ll be back again. I had my eye on those Mexican black kingsnakes…

Pros:
–Really knowledgeable AND friendly staff willing to answer questions and explain anything you don’t understand
–If you’re buying something inappropriate for your animal, they will tell you. They put the well-​being of the animal over the price of the sale, which is something you would never get at a place like Petco or Petsmart.
–Their selection of animals is pretty wide (but not deep), from corns, royals, and beardies to womas, sulcatas, legless lizards, and lacertas.
–Really good selection of tanks, from small plastic Faunariums to huge Exo-​Terras.
–The shared parking lot is enormous.
–Even though they’re pretty far away from me, they’re really close to the 10 Freeway.
Cons:
–The store is pretty small.
–Their prices are pretty high, especially for feeders: $ 1.20 each for mice (pinkies to adults); $ 1.99 for jumbos.
–It smells in there. I’ve been in a lot of reptile stores, and this one smells pretty bad.
–Their larger lizards are kept in really cramped cages.
–Because the staff always seems to be explaining something to someone, it can be kinda hard to ask a quick question (like: «How much?» cuz lots of animals don’t have prices on them!).
–If you’re shorter than 5’5″ (like me), you won’t be able to see into about half the cages very well. I don’t normally have trouble seeing into most cages at most stores, so I assume these guys just have really tall cages.
Last note: Someone else’s review said that the staff fed a baby corn before he bought it (to prove it was eating well). I was thinking that’s a great way to get a baby snake to regurge and possibly go off-​feed. But when I was there today, one of the employees was explaining to someone how to prevent regurges in new snakes. So I don’t know.

We made a great decision getting our beardie here. He was healthy from the start and CARED for (not just fed), it made his transition to our home very easy. Super friendly, clean and excellent service!
