3 Sixty Cycling Studio

Always an excellent experience! From spinning to TRX to the rowing classes… the staff are the best in their field, well versed, certified and extend their passion outside of the studio. Mark knows what he is doing recruiting the best talent and engaging the local scene and causes. The classes don’t mess around and are efficient workouts for a busy professional but staff is friendly and engaging to draw in all levels. A well thought out business plan with an A+ human touch that will get the client to try and adopt new protocols! Well done! A rare customized approach! So effective! Thanks for always giving 100%.

I have been looking to get back into spin classes. The place is definitely trendy and great atmosphere as far as cycling studios go but the class itself was okay and at one point boring. The instructor wasn’t motivating the class, and I’m unsure why, it was a saturday late morning class and there wasn’t many people there, maybe 6 people in the whole class. Walked away feeling like i didn’t get a good work out in.

I’ve been to spin everywhere — NYC, Chicago, Boston, LA — and this is the best, by far! Spacious (so nice to not be on top of each other!), beautiful studio with awesome teachers (who actually explain what/​why we’re doing what we’re doing).
And there is decent parking too.
So glad I found this place! Bought the package. Definitely worth it.

This place is amazing! I’m new to spinning so I signed up for their beginner’s class, which is dedicated to teaching people how to use the bike, proper form, etc. I happened to be the only one there with Judy, and she was amazing! She taught me how to adjust the bike, she gave me my «measurements» so I could have it for next time, and she walked me through all the lingo they used and what they meant. Even though it was just an intro, my legs were on fire by the end.
I’m definitely coming back!

Recently moved to the area and was interested in trying another activity. First class is free, walked in and there was nobody at the front desk for a couple of minutes. Then a lady came up checked me in and said pick a bike and I will be right in.
Being my first cycling class ever… I picked a bike and waited. Only to realize the instructor was starting the class with NO EXPLANATION! it was an OKAY class, I am sure I could have gotten more out of it if I knew the lingo from the start.
Followed up with them via email, only to hear that I was the one that declined an introduction? Poor management, too many in there area to deal with poor customer service!

Instructor:
A 4.5 stars for me. I’ve only taken the Groove Flow Row classes here but I really like the Sunday 8:30am instructor. She’s no-​nonsense with good clear instructions and usually lays out a pretty good interval set of increasing intensity and short spurts of rowing as hard as you can (always in control, though!).
Class:
The music is always enjoyable and she has good energy and rows with the class nearly the whole time (just pops off once or twice to deal with the clock/​volume issues). There seem to be a few regulars who recognize each other, but the instructor always has time to explain proper posture and rowing fundamentals before class starts.
Facilities:
The facilities seem fairly new and quite clean in an older brick building near the train station. I’ve used the bathroom and there’s 1 shower with supplies. No lockers that I saw (in the rowing room) so I leave my backpack on the floor next to my ERG. Free parking across the street on Sundays.

Awesome classes, upbeat music and I always leave feeling like I had a great workout. Definitely a great place to check out if you’re into spinning. Looking forward to trying their TRX and Row classes next :)

I took the so called «Bollywood» cycle class today, I was VERY disappointed because there was no «Bollywood» music nor did it feel Bollywood-​ish in any shape or form. Instead, the instructor/​owner played oldie music and did a typical spin class. It was poor advertisement on their part to get everyone to take a class. Don’t get me wrong… I do feel like I got a workout but I was motivated and excited to come to a Bollywood themed class! Not to mention, I was able to sign up for a free class on their website but a few hours after class, the studio emailed me — almost tracked me down — stating I owe them money and that I need to pay ASAP. WTH?!!

I took the 9:30 Saturday spin class and wasn’t impressed. I told the person at the first desk it was my first time at the studio and didn’t get any help — I had to ask «which studio is this class in? where are the towels? where do I put my things?» because she didn’t offer me a quick 15-​second overview that would have acclimated me.
The instructor was not great. I was not motivated by him. He didn’t even introduce himself at the beginning of class, he just began barking out orders like «steeper! steeper!» and different hand positions, so I had to really watch the other people in the class in order to keep up.
Also, I had no idea where to put my resistance or how hard to pedal because he didn’t describe what we were doing or where we were in our workout. Literally all he said the whole class was «steeper!» and «hands at two!» and that kind of thing.
My biggest problem with the class was the music. It was 60-​minute spin class with NO DANCE MUSIC. The most current song on the playlist was «Some Nights» by Fun — not even a remix! I was sooo bored. When we were spinning to «Rebel Yell» I considered hopping off my bike and leaving.

By far the best place to go for a killer workout. They have a great variety of instructors, classes and packages. Amazing. Can’t say enough good things about the studio.

This place is great. Very modern and clean. I took a tr3sixty class and a spinning class and both were great. The teachers are very motivating and super helpful.
Great that they have different class options as well so you’re not limited to just cycling. Love it!

Because 2 stars means «Meh. I’ve experienced better» — that’s what I’m giving 3sixty. I’ve been to a lot of spin classes that are much more fun, upbeat, challenging and exciting than this. The workout was fine, I definitely broke a sweat, but spin class is all about the instructor and mine was just pretty boring. I took a Saturday morning class and my instructor — I believe Glen? — was a replacement for whomever was supposed to teach that day. The music was pretty boring (no new or current music), and at points I couldn’t hear him. He was also pretty monotone, so hard to get excited.
My experience wasn’t BAD per se — the workout was fine, it just wasn’t much fun. And when you’re paying for a gym class (this studio is more affordable than others, but still not cheap) you should have a little more fun while you’re working out… I think. The facilities were fine, everyone was professional and polite… but the class is all about the instructor and mine happened to not be so great.

3 Sixty Cycling is a wonderful reprieve from all the humdrum gyms that have crowded Essex County. They offer a free trial class and I took them up on the offer and attended the 2IN1 Cycle Too Strong with Toni. The facility is beautiful, modern, simplistic, and conveniently located. Toni took the time to acclimate me to the bike and help me adjust it appropriately. She also pushed me to go beyond the minimum effort. The music was great, the class was particularly fun because it had cycling with an additional 15 minutes of strength training (free weights and abs). She kicked my a** but it was well worth it! I will be back.

Upgrading to 5 stars! They now have an unlimited pass. If you compare the price to other places around town — its a great deal. And you get so much more than just spin!

I have walked past spinning classes before and almost threw up from A) watching the pain the people were in. B) hearing the music they were playing.
Our instructor for the beginner class was really great. Made you comfortable with how the bike works and how to get the most out of your class. He had a great understaning of how your body works and how to get the best workout. After 20 minutes in, I was EXHAUSTED… but I wanted to keep going. I was going to be a hard sell, but I really enjoyed it a lot. I got off the bike and was like, «I’m not going to be able to walk tomorrow». Tomorrow and the next day came around and I wasn’t even sore. I don’t know how.
Then the music… he was playing GOOD music. I (dare I say) liked it! Good neo-​hip-​hop soul. not pitbul’s greatest hits. You go dude.
I felt like I was going to throw up afterward, so I didn’t even get my lunch. I’ve been duped!!!

I started taking classes here about one year ago after reading an article in NJ Monthly magazine. I am a die hard spin fanatic and I was bored with the regular race to a generic gym in the hopes of getting a bike that a) worked and b) with a decent instructor or c) arguing with another gym member over a bike.
I live in Hackensack so I usually drive down to Montclair on the weekends. It’s well worth the trip. The old studio was nice but the new place is even better. The atmosphere and the clientele I love. Even if you’re a beginner you will feel quite welcomed by Mark and his staff. I don’t know how Mark does it; but, i told him my name once and I may not see him regularly but he remembers my name always!
Mark’s class and for that matter all the spin instructors classes are awesome! After class, I have to change clothes because you’re drenched in sweat. The studio is clean and inviting. I’m praying for Mark to open a spot in Bergen County; but, until then I will keep coming down as my time permits.
As for the other classes i haven’t tried them and that’s only because of my time constraints. I’m dying to take Holly’s TRX training class on Saturdays. I will one day hopefully when my kids Saturday routines stop for the summer.
Forget Soul Cycle…3 Sixty is the place to be. You won’t be sorry and I am a hard critic :). When my son turns 12 in July. I will have a spin buddy. This place has teen classes too AWESOME!

I have been taking classes since opening. Clean, professional, motivating, and great play lists. Really like Marc’s Sunday class. Great way to start the day. Miss the 75 min strength class, wish it was added back to schedule.

Beautiful, super clean studio and great classes. Mark’s spinning class and Amy’s fit-​camp class are demanding but fun. I agree with the previous post that the «4&Core» class was not very hard and also didn’t last the full 60 minutes.
