Bound Book Scanning provides both destructive and non-​destructive scanning services. Our destructive option is lower-​cost. We remove the spine of the book and cut the pages at the margins, and the book will not be returned. For valuable books that require return in perfect condition, our customized non-​destructive option using our overhead scanner is optimal. Both options yield top-​quality images and excellent OCR results.

Nothing but problems since the beginning. The PayPal/​Amex payment method ended up being twice the cost, it took over over two weeks to actually receive the scan and I’ve yet to receive the book although it was «promised» for yesterday. They never answer their phones (when I call) unless it’s a new order. Now we’re paying late fees due to them not returning the original book as they promised. Ugh!

Bound Book Scanning is a fantastic service that has changed the way I read books. I have rather eclectic tastes, and most of what I want to read is not available on my Kindle. I am dyslexic and using an e-​reader (where I can control the text size) makes reading much easier for me. Bound Book Scanning has helped me read books that have been sitting on my shelves for years.

I have had books scanned with Bound Book Scanning since 2012 in three different orders. Bound Book Scanning has exemplary and responsive customer service and commitments are made on time.
The scanning quality if very high and the images and documents are conveniently transferred via Dropbox.
My first order was for non-​destructive color scanning of several College and High School Yearbooks. The work was excellent and the books were returned to me in as good condition as when I shipped them.
The next two non-​return orders were for gray scale scanning a large numbers of primarily technical books so I could store them digitally as an archive while not retaining the burden of physical storage.
The files produced are good reproductions and are very readable text and images on digital devices.
I highly recommend Bound Book Scanning if you are considering converting books to media whether you choose the non-​destructive or non-​return option.

I was working on a large scale project that involved scanning a great deal of books. Bound Book Scanning is a wonderful business to work with. I can’t say enough about their excellent, responsive customer service, high quality work, responsiveness and overall capability. They have the skill, care and attention to detail that can handle any size work load needed, from a single book, to hundreds.
You also don’t have to be local. You can ship in your books, pamphlets and other work to be scanned. I haven’t had any issue with this, and Bound Books always lets you know when they receive your shipment, so you have peace of mind. Really great people, solid work. Can’t say enough great things about them!
