very poor service & a waste of money. workers had heavy hands, rushed, rough, awful & cut my skin !!! just an awful experience !!! should be ‘zero’ star.

Kapu is back from maternity leave!!! My brows and I couldn’t be happier :) :) :) I was jumping from shop to shop trying to do in the mean time but no one can compare to her! She always takes her time, gentle yet so precise in her work! I never get breakouts from the thread like I have from other threading places. If you are in need of having your brows «on point»… She is the gal to go to! Her days off are Wednesday’s and Sunday’s.

I just got my full face done by Sam and I will definitely come again… It was my first time doing my whole face and she was very gentle. Yes it hurts but it’s not that bad… My eyebrows look great! And prices are very reasonable… full face for $ 20 minus the forehead… and she gave me a small massage

I found this place on Unilocal and the first time I went to Kalpu which did an awesome job. I believe she’s on maternity leave right now. This last time I went to Sam and she was great. She really listened to what I wanted to do to my eyebrows. Made them look almost perfect. I’m truly happy that I found this place and it’s super clean.

I have been coming to this location for a few months now because I had a bad experience at one of the locations in the valley mall in el monte, not sure if they are owned by the same person or not.
For some reason I always get the same lady I can never catch her name but she is an older lady
So i always get full face threading
First time I went to this location the lady commented how much facial hair I had and I explained to her how I have a thyroid and hormone problem and that why I have a bit more facial hair then most, I thought that after explaining this once she wouldnt bring it up in any shape or form but every time ive gone she says the same thing or has brought it up or would say how difficult it would be/​is.
I have tried other times to get someone different but it never happens
Bringing something up like that again and again to someone is very rude why bring it up time and time again when I have already explained it to you
I don’t come there to be reminded. And if its so difficult for you why not just take the next available costumer and ill wait for someone else
Another thing this lady threads way to fast and way to harsh on my face I have told her twice (not to mention she tjreads all the way up to my eye super fast and hard, that is delicate skin under the eye you shouldnt really be doing that. Another this to watch out she has accidentally threaded a couple of my eyelashes out, she said sorry and keeped threading) and I understand everyone has their own way of threading but every time I go there she does it as fast as she can like shes in a hurry and trys to get me out of her chair and get the next customer in, I understand you get a lot of customers and most just get eyebrow threading but I am paying you for your time and service and I always tip anywhere from $ 5-​$ 10
Yes I know everyone is going to say if you had a bad experience or don’t like this place you don’t have to go there anymore. But I try out all places a few times because not all ppl that work there will treat you the same and I was hoping I would get a better experience later on

There was a misunderstanding on my initial review. The owner contacted me for this company and solved my issue. She was very kind and took great initiative in helping solve my concerns. Please disregard this review. I have not visited this exact location, my review was for a different location and I am unsure of how to delete the review all together.

Kalpu does a great job! She’s very gentle. If not kalpu, there is another woman whom I think is great also. She puts gel/​lotion on brows after & kind of massages your temples. Love this place!

I’ve been meaning to find a good threading place and my cousin told me about here! I am so glad I gave it a try because this is my go to spot from now on for sure!!! I went in when they opened at 10 and got seated in the second chair. It was a very quick and easy process for only $ 7! I love my brows! They do such an amazing job and the place is super clean!

Worse experience ever!!! I specifically told the girl Kelly when I sat down that I’m trying to grow my eyebrows out. I told her NOT to pull the hairs closest to my brows because I fill them in myself to make my brows thicker. When she was done ALL those hairs were gone and my eyebrows were High School thin! I was so upset and rather then say sorry she tells me they look better and she could not leave those hairs there. Wtf! When I ask you to not touch something you don’t do it because you think it looks better. They are not your eyebrows! I’m sitting in my car crying and devastated that my patience to grow them out for more then a year was for nothing. Never coming back here again!

Prices here are very reasonable! I happened to be in the area and luckily there was no wait when I walked in. The staff were really friendly and very efficient. With the check-​in offer ($ 1 off), I got my eyebrows and lip waxed for $ 10 which is practically a steal nowadays! Make sure you tip though! I will definitely be back in the future. I used to drive to Rosemead for prices comparable to this but am glad to find a place in Monrovia now :)

Needed last minute cheap grooming and came here from friends rec. Kalpu told me to sit down and after that I couldn’t really understand her :/​bc I have bad ears. However, I’m glad I just shut up and let her take over! She gave my brows shape and cleaned them up all for the price of just $ 6 (-$ 1 for checking in) !!!

After years and years of going to different threading places, I finally found the right one! They are consistent every time, and I know I will walk out feeling good about myself.
They take their time and are very diligent, even if the store is full, they ensure the best service possible!
The price cannot be beat either. It’s considerably cheap $ 11 for eyebrows and $ 4 for upper lip. I find it extremely worth it, as it beats Ziba in every way possible.
I ALWAYS wait for Sam to have an open chair and I refuse to let anyone else touch my eyebrows. I recommend her to everyone!

Five stars for Kalpu, who will be entering maternity leave shortly. She’s the best and I will not let anyone else there touch my brows. What am I going to do when she’s gone??? Suffer for a few months.

I’ve feared anyone else touching my eyebrows for years. After coming here for henna designs (which were beautiful and fair priced) and seeing the work these ladies did on eyebrows I decided to face my fears and give them a try.
I was not disappointed! They cleaned up my eyebrows nicely without over plucking them. They eliminated my lady-​stache entirely. They even applied moisturizer and did a mini massage after! I’ve been coming here ever since.

I’ve been here many times and love it! The ladies are always super nice too. I’ve come at all times of the day, on weekends and weekdays and even when there’s been several clients waiting they always take their time with each client.
I have noticed that Sunday afternoons is best because it’s more empty so now that’s when I usually go. Their prices are great, only $ 7 for eyebrows. I usually just have whoever is there do my eyebrows and all the ladies do a good job. I definitely recommend this place for threading.

$ 7 for eyebrow threading? For sureeeeeeeeeee! I called in because it was a weekend and I would suggest if you didn’t really want to wait. The lady on the phone was super friendly and told me it might be a little busy later, so I came within the hour. It’s in a plaza with a lot of parking spaces, so don’t worry about parking!
Go in. Sign up on the IPad with your name and number. Select service. and option of picking your threader. I picked Kalpou because I heard great things about her on the reviews. I didn’t have to wait and got my brows done in 10 minutes. She was gentle and super sweet. I loved how my brows came out and she even offers an aloe massage on your brows after! Hehe, how sweet!
$ 7 for threading the brows! -$ 1 for check-​in = $ 6 in the end! I tipped the lady $ 3 because she did a great job! Don’t forget to tip! I would definitely come back here again if I was in the area! My eyebrows on FLEEK after this! ;)

I haven’t wanted to thread my eyebrows in a long time after my skin was left in cuts after a threading session at another place. On a whim, I decided to give this place a try and I have no regrets. They do a wonderful, thorough job and provide excellent customer service. The icing on top is that their prices are so reasonably good! I really enjoyed the little face massage after the threading was done. Usually after a session like this the area on my skin will get red or bumpy but such a good job was done that my skin was not irritated at all. Kalpu was really sweet, applied lotion and was quick about the whole thing. Best threading session I’ve ever experienced! I will be back and hope each and every time will be this fabulous!

I use to drive 20 minute drive to Kaya Threading in Rosemead just to get my brows done. It was pretty inconvenient to drive that far just to keep my brows fresh unless I was already in the area. With that being said, it was easy to lack maintenance let my brow hairs go crazy for weeks and weeks at a time.
So when I saw that Rising Threading opened up at the Monrovia plaza with the Trader Joes, Marshall’s, and Party City, I stopped in and gave it a try. Appreciatively, I was very impressed!
Rising Threading does a great job at threading at the price of $ 7 for brows, or $ 6 with a check in. The staff is extremely friendly, and the place is super clean. The brow magicians know what they’re doing and will accommodate to what you want, yet do what looks good on you. They do a good job and are efficient, you’re in and out fairly quickly.
Don’t forget to grab a stamp card, after 9 threading sessions, your 10^th one is free!

I’m so impressed with the eyebrow work. I am picky when it comes to this beauty issue. I have tried threading years ago, wanted to go back to it and try other specialty shops so this was it. The lady who did mine was very friendly and with $ 7 plus $ 3 tip, I walked out happy and will become a regular here for sure!
