Century Rooter Service & Plumbing

I called Century Rooter for a small leak in my front yard. They sent a plumber named Luis over the same day. He showed up right on time. What I thought might have been a sewer problem was actually just a sprinkler line issue, and he fixed it quickly. Luis was very courteous and friendly, and I was very impressed with the level of service overall. It’s not like this was a plumbing emergency, but I got it taken care of within just a few hours of placing the call. I will be calling Century Rooter for bigger jobs in the future!

I’ve used Century Rooter twice now, and both times have been BEYOND pleased with the professionalism, courtesy, and experience of both plumbers. They did both jobs efficiently and completely. Will definitely call them again.

I’ve used Century Rooter several times in the past, so it was a no-​brainer to call them again. Today, my Kitchen sink was clogged and creating a leak under my sink. Called Century Rooter and had a plumber out within a half hour. Very nice guy. Fixed the problem within an hour. While he was under the sink, he noticed a disintegrated ‘nut’ and adjusted the alignment of the pipes. He replaced the nut free of charge. Very happy with the service.

We had a clog in the kitchen and laundry room. David came out on a Sunday, a couple of hits after we called. He could have quickly fixed the problem and been on his way, but he did some more investigation to assure that the backup was not a larger problem. Excellent quality of service. David fixed the problem after about a half an hour with minimal charges. Really happy with this company and would call them again. On a side note, David is former military and I really appreciate this company hiring an upstanding, Iraq war veteran.

I waited for 2 hours after-​hours and no one showed up! The technician said my building looks like it was abandoned but all the light were on and our cars are parked outside. The office said they called me but my phone never rang! We get off work at 5:30 and now it’s almost 8. I wasted all this time while the water is running into the carpet! What kind of operation does this business have? The office just called and said that they can «come back» for an ADDITIONAL trip charge. Forget it!

I love this company. As an apartment manager for 17 years they are my favorite vendors. They ALWAYS show up on time. And they have great communication if they’re running behind. I’ve never encountered a rude employee. (James, Ernesto. All of them. They’re so nice and professional!) Now that we are moving into a house I’m happy to continue to use them. Thanks, Century Rooter for making my life easier.

CENTURY ROOTER ROCKS!!! This is the 5^th time we’ve called Century and they did an excellent job once again, so figured I’d finally write a review on them. Can’t say enough good things about this company! First, their dispatch/​office manager Wendy is great. She picks up the phone on barely the 2^nd ring, and asks you whats wrong and gets one of her guys there fast. She is on the ball, and will always call you when the plumber is approx 30 minutes out so you can be there (I’m always coming from work, so this is awesome for me).
1.) First time we needed our front bathroom tub fixed, it didn’t drain properly and the tub faucet fell off! We had just moved in and was referred to them by our agent, and they did the fix for free!
2.) Our sewer water was backing up into our showers (ewwwww) so we needed them to come out quick and get it fixed. Came same day and fixed it right away. So nice to not have poopy water in your shower right?!
3.) Went to the garage to get laundry done, and our water heater burst and water was everywhere. Uuuuuuuuugh. This was at 7pm at night, so we called and they came out first thing in the morning to install a brand new one.
4.) Got a ticket from the city June 2015 saying we had a leak and it was our fault, need to have it fixed for water conservation/​drought rules. Called Century, they came the very next day, went to the street to look at the leak, and said it was, in fact, on the cities side. Because the plumber was experienced, he knew EXACTLY what side was theirs/​ours. He even called a guy from the city who came to our house right away and confirmed it was the cities side/​fault. Century didn’t charge us for the call or diagnosis.
5.) Leaky shower and hot water in the sink wasn’t working. Wendy said the tech would be there between 10 and noon, and he arrived promptly at 9:58am. After 15 minutes, he said the shower needed new seats and rubber valves, and replaced those. Then he checked the sink to see why the hot water wasn’t flowing out properly. Ended up that we just needed a new sink fixture, the hot water side of ours had calcified and was completely blocked. Everything was done in 2 hours and we had what felt like a whole new bathroom again. Thanks Uzi!
CONCLUSION — this is an honest, professional plumbing company with many years of residential and commercial experience. They provide quick service, and they don’t gouge you on price. Their techs are all so nice and professional and they are very knowledgeable. They should wear Superman t-​shirts under their uniforms-​they always save the day! The plumbers always come equipped with everything they need to make the repair so you can have your house fixed and get on with your life. If you are in the Arcadia/​Duarte/​Monrovia area, there really is no reason to go with anyone else.

The water in my tub had been draining slowly but I was dealing with it. I finally had to call a plumber when it got to the point I was standing in a couple inches of water. To my surprise, my apartment owner wouldn’t pay for the plumber, saying it was my responsibility. I was so relieved to find out their rate! David came out and did a great job in just a few minutes. The person who scheduled the appointment was also very professional and friendly, calling me before the appointment to let me know when the plumber would arrive. I will definitely use Century Rooter again if I need a plumber!

Guys at Century Rooter is always very reliable. Had a bad leak in my water heater and called them midnight. We turned off the main and left early next day for church. By the time we returned they had the leak taken care of as if nothing had happened. Great and honest company. Have dealt with them close to 20 years. Thank you for great services.

These guys gave us same-​day service when we were in a fix. David came to our rescue. He was smart, fast, hardworking, and honest. He did a good job of cleaning out our mainline for a reasonable price. Thanks David!

These guys are great. I have used them a few times in the past few years, and more recently to clear a blocked drain and fix a broken pipe. Very efficient and reasonably priced. David was very professional and did a great job. Highly recommended.

Had an in issue a few months before I moved (lived in azusa, miss it already) in the late evening that needed attention I wasn’t equipped to handle when time counts and my $$$ was running down the tub uncontrollably, called century and the all call technician (James) called back in moments of my original call and was able to accommodate my urgency. Was able to arrive swiftly and fixed my issue without a wrinkle. Very fair price for the time of «day» it was. I’m sure I’d call them again and this tech was very friendly, courteous and swift with the wrench months later my now tenant has not reported any issues

James calmed me down and answered my questions as I was home alone house sitting when disaster struck. He came out as quick as possible and fix us up right. Kind and courteous. Would recommend to anyone!

My in-​laws have used Century Rooter for several years. Now that my husband and I have our own home, we call Century Rooter for all of our plumbing needs too. They are always very professional, have great prices, and get the work done right the first time! We especially love dealing with James! He’s amazing! He’s very knowledgable about the work he is doing and upfront. I would highly recommend them to anyone who asks for a good plumbing company.

I’ve used this company over the years and they always do a great job. They are prompt and they never oversell you.

A few years ago we had Century Rooter Service & Plumbing replace an existing sump pump in our backyard along with new PVC piping.
The plumber who did the work incorrectly pitched all the pipes causing water to flow back into the sump pump. He also cut through an existing pipe exposing a hot wire which was connected to an outlet that served as the electrical to the sump pump.
I left a message for the owner to have him call me back to explain the shoddy work. I never heard back from them.

I guess since I previously was bagging on the plumbing service that messed up my house, I feel that it is only that I should praise the company that did right by me, for the second time. Since that is my motto. First off Steve Fulton is a class AAA plumber. He repipied my 1930’s house back in 2005 and actually let me watch and taught me some things while doing it. He kicked ass and is a true master of his craft.
It not was until December of 2010 that I had to call Century Rooter (LIC #707 409) back to my house for a line plug. They sent a friggin super star Chris Bucci, out. The man, like Steve, was kick butt. He was in there at the time stated and fixed the problem within minutes. During the whole time showing me how to care for and treat my pipes. I never felt so good about writing a check. Simply awesome. Century Rooter should feel proud about having these men work for them. I would call them back in a second. Thanks a gain!
