Best wine by far. My favorite is the Monroeville Red semi sweet. Nice staff.

Until I was invited here by a couple of girlfriends for a snowy weekend afternoon wine tasting I had no idea this place existed. I felt the owner who handled our tasting was friendly and informative. The wines were fantastic. We bought several bottles and cannot wait to go back.

My wife and I found this winery while checking out the fall foliage. A nice selection of good tasting wines. The tasting fee was reasonable($ 5) and included a souvenir glass.

Monroeville makes my absolute favorite wines ever. I try to make it there every couple of months to stock up on their wines. I love Monroeville White and Red, both semi-sweet, and the Basille is a great bold red. They are extremely friendly and accommodating in the tasting room. If you buy a case of wine you become a case club member and get discounts on your purchases as well as some special case club events they hold. They often have events going on and they have live music on the weekends. The family that owns/runs it are super nice. I have had a couple interactions with the wife and she remembers me and my friends, which is nice too.

Felt rushed by the staff member who handled our tasting. Very little conversation or information on the wine making process. Was disappointed by all of the grape wines, they seemed weak in body and flavor. However, I tried to keep an open mind since they are a relatively young winery, and may still be working to perfect their recipes. Plus I want to be supportive of a new local business. Without a doubt, the size of the wine tasting pours were the smallest I have seen at any winery. Even the few wineries I’ve visited this year offering free tastings are pouring more generous sizes. Bottle prices were too high considering the quality of the finished product(grape wines). The cranberry wine was novel and worth a bottle purchase. I plan to visit again in another year.

I have been to Monroeville several times, and each time have purchased at least a case upon leaving. I initially found the owners to be very welcoming. I visited today(using a Groupon) and found the experience to be disappointing. I felt that the wine samples were very stingy(not sure if this was because we were using a Groupon). At some point the server gave us a weird lecture on driving while under the influence even though the 7 tastings wouldn’t have equaled a whole glass of wine. They also used to provide a little snack, but cheese and crackers are now for sale. Just not the same experience and I’m not sure it is worth the drive again for me. I bought a case as always and seemed to come up a bit in the server’s eyes, but did not appreciate the experience.

If you just want to drink wine then it isn’t a bad place– they have some nice wines, although nothing we tried really impressed us. Unfortunately, a few things bothered me– first, it felt like we were rushed through the process. Before I even finished the first sample the nice lady was at my elbow ready to give us another tasting. This made me feel rushed, did not give my group time to really talk about and reflect on the wine, and really cut down on my enjoyment of the tasting. She also gave us almost no information on the wine we were trying and there was no information on the list of wines provided. Finally, I went using a groupon which said we would be given eight samples but the server said it was seven. I didn’t push it, but the groupon clearly says eight– if you are going to use that kind of deal you really should know what it includes.

After visiting all but four of the New Jersey wineries, Monroeville is the only one I have come back to four more times! All of the wineries in NJ are staffed by incredibly friendly people, and Monroeville is no exception. Every time I’ve come in for a tasting the winery has been manned by the mother/son team. The tasting room is adorable and cozy. Monroeville has my favorite tasting set up, which is $ 5 for a taste of everything they have. Sweet deal. Plus they set you up with your own individual little cracker and cheese plate so you’re not sharing with germy strangers. All of the wine is solid, with some better than others. I prefer their fruity offerings more than their traditional wines. Strawberry is my favorite, with nectarine and cranberry as close seconds.

The second on our tour of wineries over the weekend. Monroeville Vineyards is nestled amongst budding fruit trees and its own looping grape vines just outside of Mullica Hill. The tasting room is on the small side, and offers tables for patrons to sit and relax while they enjoy the wines offered here. The small cheese and cracker plate was a nice gesture. The staff is cordial, but the tasting experience itself was rather brusque. We were asked for our tasting fee before we were welcomed to have a seat. We were given a short a description of the wines as they were poured and then the staff member was gone. No real conversation or interaction beyond the quick product presentation.
