Had the italian combo and it was good, real prociutto and a good size grinder.

This is one of my favorite places to eat of all time! Every soup is so good it’s unbelievable. The chicken spinach Gorgonzola cheese soup is so full of chicken one cup and you don’t need anything else for lunch but you want to have all the Panini’s because every single one of them is delicious! And the owner Ron is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met.

I see no reason for why to grace Panera Bread with patronage with Soup Thyme around. You can get the same special of half a panini and a small soup for less money and better taste(and probably healthier as well). Place is extremely tiny and quite popular. The staff is very on point though, but do know that lines can build up in no time at all. We had a bbq-based panini and a chicken cutlet panini plus broccoli cheddar and french onion soups. They were all very good, and they are only a small sample of the many paninis and soups they have to offer. Not necessarily exceptional in taste, but they are pretty good and make you happy while eating it and after you finished them. Check it out when you are driving by and do consider carrying it out instead of dining at the locale, because it gets very tight in there. I recommend it!

Great for omnivores and herbivores alike! The soups are labeled with V and GF, when appropriate, which is great. I wish they did the same for the sandwiches, just so I could read through them faster. There’s a huge selection, with 3 – 4 vegetarian sandwiches. My bf got a roast beef and I got the portobello sandwich(sorry I can’t recall the funky names Soup Thyme uses). Both were very yummy, the sandwiches are definitely more loaded up with topping than they would be at Panera. We also got a small lentil soup(V) to share. I think the bill came to around $ 18 for everything. There is plenty of parking as well as indoor and outdoor seating. Overall the food was great. The only downside is that the line was long and it took about 25 minutes for us to get our food. However, the wait was worth it!

Yum! My boyfriend brought me takeout from here when I wasn’t feeling well. I got two smalls, a French onion and a chicken spinach Gorgonzola. The French onion was great. I’ve yet to eat the other kind, but I’m sure it’s equally as good. He got the chicken pot pie soup which I tried and really enjoyed(I’ll probably get this the next time I go). He got a bread bowl for his soup and he loved that it wasn’t sourdough bread like some places offer(ex: Panera). He also surprised me with a brownie which was rich, chocolatey, and delicious. I’ll definitely be going back.

I finally had a lunch at the famed Soup Thyme, and I deeply regret waiting this long to eat here. I had a Cheddar Broccoli soup with a Turkey/Bacon/Gruyère/Peppercorn Sauce panini. Nonetheless, I had high hopes for the award winning luncheon. The panini was hands down the best sandwich I’ve had in the area; flavorful and well balanced. The soup followed suit. A wonderfully creamy broccoli & cheddar soup with a huge depth of flavor, surprising for such a usually simple dish. Upon further inspection, I found that their menu changes a good amount: about seven or eight daily soups that rotate in availability, plus new sandwiches regularly added as well. Everything looked great, plus the salads & baked goods(mostly desserts; cookies, brownies, blondies, etc.) looked good, too. An absolute must-try lunch spot for anyone in the area. Would reccomend ordering ahead, as they get pretty busy for lunch!

Without a doubt one of my favorite places to get lunch in the Monroe area. I have tried a few different soups including the broccoli cheddar and chicken pot pie and they have all been excellent, but what keeps me coming back are the paninis. My favorite paninis, which I would highly recommend making a stop in to try have to be the Thyme Away, Thyme’s Up, and Thyme After Thyme. Besides the soup and sandwiches, Soup Thyme also has very good pre-made salads for anyone looking for a quick delicious bite to eat! My only knock against Soup that there is very little seating. Other than that I would highly recommend Soup Thyme to anyone looking for a great sandwich and or cup of soup in the Trumbull & Monroe area!

One of my very favorite lunch spots. Get the«Thyme of Death» panini if you like spicy chicken. And when they have the lobster bisque… Mmmmm

Such a basic concept, but it’s executed to perfection. Everything about this place is done right. The staff is always super nice and helpful, and more importantly, the line usually moves quickly. I’ve been coming here for years. As much as I would like to try every panini on the menu, I usually just end up ordering the same sandwich. Eventually, I’d like to try more of what the menu has to offer; I’m sure all of the sandwiches are good. My only complaint is that they only have one location(that I know of). Really wish they would open a location in Fairfield! Oh, and I forgot to mention the soup! The chicken spinach Gorgonzola is the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Great local spot. Simple yet gourmet sandwiches done well. Soups are wholesome. They offer great salads. The baked goods are too hard to resist. This place has a great local vibe to it. The special is a great deal for half a sandwich and half a soup. They also offer deli salads and such to go. Been going here for almost 10 years now

Today I stopped into Soup Thyme because my wife raves about the soups and Pannini sandwiches. I ordered stuffed cabbage soup. It was as if someone scooped up all of the goodness & bits from the bottom of grandma’s stuffed cabbage pot. Unbelievably delicious!

Best soup place I’ve found in CT. Also the best butternut squash soup I’ve had anywhere! Unlike other places, their soups are never too salty or overloaded with cream. They always have a nice soup selection and a creative list of panini sandwiches. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing. My favorite place to have lunch. The spinach Gorgonzola soup is out of this world. Lunch specials are fairly priced fir what you get. I have yet to have a bad bowl of soup. Don’t be afraid of the long line. The staff had an incredible system and you will be out quickly. Yummm enjoy.

Hit or miss! I’ve been here and can say service is great and I’ve been where when service is mediocre. Broc and cheese soup is super bland. Sorry, but liquid lunch and panera would have my vote for flavor. The pot pie soup is good. It’s unique because there is actually pie crust on too. Very clever instead of crackers. The sandwiches are better quality(unlike some other places with low end products)

Been seeing the sign for years and years. Never went inside. My friend comes over the other day and brings me a container of broccoli cheddar. The worst tasting soup I have ever tasted. Had no flavor. I don’t even think there was cheese in it. I don’t know if they are trying out a new cook but I don’t think I will ever return.

This place makes me wish every panera bread would be burn to the ground and have soup thyme take its place. Every small town in America needs a soup /sandwich deli like this so solve its problems. I want to consume every sandwich before I die. Only downside is it is five minutes further than I want to travel for lunch but compared to everything else Trumbull has to offer, worth it.

Oh Soup Thyme how I love you. We nicknamed it «crack soup» because we are addicted! Chicken pot pie soup is AMAZING. It can be very busy so call your order in advance or go after 130. This place has a line out the door all winter & summer long! I’ve tried all their hit soups, chilis and numerous sandwiches and am always impressed. They are very attentive to their customers as I have ordered for large groups on mulitple occasions and have never had a problem. I have also been there at 5:00 when they are closing and watch them scurb the place from top to bottom for the next day that starts at 6am. This place may not have the ambiance or space as Liquid Lunch but their soup is 10X better.
