This place has gone so far down hill it’s sad. They used to be really good but their food is very bland. The only real good thing about Magic Wok is their prices, hence the 1 star. If you want great Asian food, go across the street to China Wok. You won’t be disappointed.

I don’t know how this place doesn’t have better reviews. This place is THEBEST Chinese place in the entire town. If you think there is better than this in MONROEMICHIGAN, you’re dead wrong. They have a freaking drive thru people, it’s amazing.

BIG disappointment!!! Before I went there I checked their website to see what was on their menu. Everything looked so good on the menu so I went there. The«menu» in the restaurant consisted of a dozen or so hand written items on a wipe-off board and that was about it. NOTHING at all like the menu on the website. Talk about«bait & switch!!! As for the physical building itself, it’s an old, run-down Long John Silver’s building that’s seen better days. Fairly clean, but just don’t sit over by the«family corner» unless you happen to like blaring TV with your meal.

So I eat here so often I figure it is high time for a review of these guys. So ok, this isn’t your«authentic» «pan-Asian» place or whatever. It is the Asian food equivalent to tex-mex. But it tastes great and it’s reasonably healthy so suck it hipsters! First of all, they are one of the few places that has decent food within my budget. I mean it is dirt cheap; I mean, you can get a good deal of food here for under $ 5… which is AWESOME! They don’t take credit or debit because they don’t trust your broke a**. 0. o Haha I kid I kid. I read that most small businesses don’t like the additional hassle and cost that taking credit entails, and I also heard it keeps prices down. And ANYTHING that keeps prices down is fine by me! This is probably one of the best Ameri-Chinese places I have found. I am constantly looking for decent sweet and sour chicken so I bounce around to a variety of different places around the area and this is honestly the best in my humble opinion. The chicken is not ridiculously greasy like pretty much ever other place I have been and the vegetables are actually crunchy! I love that. I don’t like over cooked vegetables in stir fry. Their rice gravy is also very good. So if you are looking for something cheap and quick and delicious this is your place. I always get sweet and sour chicken because I am not adventurous. I think they already know what I want before I order anyway. I came here originally because a co-worker of mine recommended it. I am not sure whether to thank her or whap her because while I love this place, I have probably spent a good chunk of change just because I come back here so often. 0. o

Not the best chinese food, but it’s quick and not too shabby for the price. Cash only.
