Johnny’s Pizza House

I called this location and they said the price of a large hamburger thin crust pizza would be $ 16.90. The only reason we didn’t order was because of the delivery time of an hour 45. This wasn’t satisfactory so I called another location which told me the price for the same pizza was $ 18.90 and I was told I needed to pay for cheese which I thought was automatically included. This frustrated me so I decided not to order pizza at all. This wasn’t what I wanted to do because I love their pizza every time I’m here in town. It’s absolutely delicious. Hopefully next time will be a better experience.

The best pizza EVER! When I go to Louisiana, I always have to get one! My favorite is the half pepperoni/​half sausage with extra sauce. The sauce is DELICIOUS! I say extra sauce because sometimes they seem to skimp out on it a little depending on which location you go to. I usually call in my order ahead of time and just drive up there and pick it up (then eat there if with someone or just take home). Now they have it where you can do online ordering. Their cheese sticks are really great too! OMG and the slightly spicy delicious nacho cheese sauce that you can get with it too! It’s DELICIOUS! You’ve gotta go to Johnny’s!
Everyone who is from Louisiana that moved anywhere else in USA and comes back to Louisiana for a visit has a Johnny’s trip at least once while they’re in town. You won’t regret it!

4.75 rating out of 5. This is a phenomenal pie (you may need extra cheese). I must say the Johnny’s in North LA are miles behind the locations in South LA in terms of overall taste and look. It seems as if they’ve cut back a tad bit on the sauce and a lot on the cheese per pie. They use measuring cups at some locations and it’s killing the business. You can tell Johnny Hunt isn’t running/​managing all locations in LA. Once you’ve had the great pizza of the past, you don’t want anything short of greatness. You gotta love the classic building and location but they can get a little rowdy in there.

If you’re from out of town, you MUST eat Johnny’s pizza!!! You will NOT regret it! I promise! Best pizza I’ve ever eaten. EVER. Even New York. Even Brooklyn. Try the Sweep the Kitchen or the Sweep the Swamp. Or, just the pepperoni, it is amazing.
