I made an appointment at this salon and was there 5 minutes early. After waiting 20 minutes (15 minutes after my appointment time), I noticed my stylist chatting with her previous customers, not caring about the time. I had somewhere to be that day and also, that’s just bad customer service, so I left. The client before me that was chatting had her young children running and yelling after me after I had gotten to my car. Don’t let your children run after strangers. This was a very weird experience, I will not go back.

This is an amazing salon! The staff are all super nice and knowledgeable! Maleena is amazing!!! She made my hair look great and the color and cut are perfect! She takes her time with you and is the best!

Yikes… Where do I begin?
I came into this salon a couple days before my wedding to get a Brazilian wax with the salon’s only esthetician. Now, I have been getting Brazilians elsewhere for about two years now and I have never had any of the issues that I experienced at this salon. First, the esthetician tried a different wax on me than she normally would after asking the color of wax that the salon I frequent in Bellingham uses. I did not request for her to do this and told her that I knew nothing about what color wax should be used; after all, I am not the professional. The wax got stuck to my skin in the most sensitive area and it took over an hour for her to cut it out with scissors. I was in tears and more pain than I had ever experienced getting a wax done. She attempted to correct the mess for another hour and finally, after being quite shaken and in pain, she finished. Unfortunately, my «Brazilian» looked awful and kept me in a lot of pain for the two days leading up to my wedding.
The esthetician was a nice lady, and she did not charge me or my bridal party for her services that day. However, I was quite upset when she blamed the thickness of my hair for the issues we had experienced that day AND when she told my friend that I had requested the wax, which is simply not true. I am sure that they do a great job doing haircuts… but I cannot recommend this salon for waxing and will not be going back anytime soon.

I would not recommend this salon for wedding parties. The lighting is not right in the area we were for makeup and that lead to all the girls being a bit to dark. Also, the person was running behind, was late and took longer then originally said. Bride had left her hair down and ended up having to re-​curl it herself after leaving. Lastly, they took a deposit which was more like a fee, because it never went towards the service.

After 30 years of wearing my hair long – and uncut, I decided about a year and a half ago, it was time to go to short hair. I used Unilocal to help find a local hair salon and called for an appointment. As another reviewer said, I hit the jackpot on my first shot! I told Susie I had never been able to deal with hair beyond being able to pull it back and pin it up so it had to be something simple to deal with. Susie has now cut my hair at least 5 or 6 times. Each time people I know are wowed by the result; and I am still flabbergasted that her cuts have been so easy to keep up even though they look much more complicated. As others have mentioned the saloon itself is pleasant to visit and all the stylists seem quite proficient, but Susie gets my vote as tops.

I love this salon! They just do everything right! Email reminders and the best color I have ever had done! Maleena ROCKS!

I went back for another cut and color with Renay, and she was more then gracious regarding my first visit and experience.

My last haircut was 4 months ago, shortly before moving to the area. I put off getting a cut because of past trial and error experiences while trying to find a new place. I finally decided it was time to just get through all of the bad haircuts before finding the perfect stylist! My first choice of my trial and error journey was an appointment with Shannon F. at Brush Salon & Spa. I hit the jackpot on my first shot! Shannon did exactly what I wanted and she was very upbeat and personable! The salon itself is very clean and inviting and set on a little lake. I was also able to get a same day appointment! So soooo happy I found this place! I love my haircut and can’t wait to go back for a color!

Great new full service salon with fabulous stylists! Esthetician on premises too! Great location on Lake Tye. I’m partial to my stylist, Renay, but all of the stylists are up to date, knowledgable and have great customer service skills!

On a whim, I decided to get my hair cut. My hair is very thick and long. I walked right in, only had to wait a few minutes and got a great cut! I am still getting compliments on it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this salon! Jodi has been my stylist for many years and I am very happy she finally opened your own place. I have never trusted anyone except Jodi with my hair, but I would consider having any of the stylists here work on me because she has surrounded herself with the best! All of the women are wonderful, very friendly and the atmosphere is exactly what you want in a salon. I have color treatments & highlights so I spend several hours there at a time and the time goes by so fast! It is kinda like my «girl time» :o)

I needed a little trim and a couple of layers and since this salon was conveniently next to my EVCC class in the Lake Tye Building, I decided to take a look. I went in on Tuesday and right when I walked in on Tuesday the ladies made me feel welcome and answered all of my questions. They let me look around the salon to get a feel of the atmosphere and showed me how they worked. I was impressed and made an appointment for Thursday at 10:00. They also gave me and my friend a small bottIe of Hempz lotion just for walking in. The lotions were awesome and smelled delightful. I was early on Thursday but it was not problem. Camby gave me my haircut immediately and took her time. I showed her a picture of the hairstyle I wanted and she did just that. She even styled my hair at the end for free while most salons charge extra for that. My haircut was $ 30.00 since it was my first time and they first timers a 20% discount. I’ll see how my hair grows out and if I like the look I’ll definitely be coming back again.

I LOVE the women in this salon! They are all great at hair and all the beauty treatments they provide. I would trust any of them with my hair, although I am loyal to Shannon.
