I could have sworn I wrote a review about Dena at Bliss a while ago, but I don’t see it! Let’s just say, I DO NOT LIKE TO GO TO ANYONE ELSE! I read a review here that there is one of her clients that waits until she comes up from Cali to get her hair done and I completely understand why. When you find a gem of a hairstylist, you will do anything, drive from anywhere just to have her cut your hair. She is that good. I lived up on Friday Harbor, which is a good 2 hours by car and an hour ferry ride for 18 months and I got 2 haircuts by other people in that time… and it was a horrible experience. One hairstylist in Anacortes literally chopped my hair off and it was the worst haircut I had ever had. Took a while to grow out and then I finally drove the miles to see Dena. The thing about her cuts is that even if you let your hair grow, it is so well styled, you can go a long time before you need to go in again. As well, it’s like going to see family! The good family you always wanted! lol Now that I’m in Issaquah, it’s a short jaunt over… YAY! If you want someone to cut you hair that knows what she’s doing… go to Dena! You will not be disappointed.

I’ve traveled as far as from Whidbey Island (when i was living there) to have Dena do my hair. I’ve been to her many times now and would hate to go anywhere else. I’ve been moving into different styles with my hair and I really love what Dena does for my hair. I also appreciate the hair color with lower toxins. Now I’m in California most of the year, but I wait until I’m in Washington to get my hair done and I drive from where ever I’m at to get to her. She’s worth that and a lot more. I’m really glad I found this place. Count me as one more loyal customer.

I have never religiously gone to one salon to get my hair done before… Mostly because I wasn’t fully satisfied with the cut or service, and I always felt I could find a better stylist. But since meeting Dena, and becoming acquainted with her salon, I’m now a loyal customer.
I came into Bliss to cut my long hair off and go short for the first time in over 10 years. It was defiantly a big change for me! She was very reassuring and really made sure I felt comfortable with the new style. After I got home and messed around with, y new do, I found there was something small I didn’t like, so I called back and Dena fit me in the next day free of charge. I won’t go anywhere else to get my hair done!
This place is a real gem! Great quality in this small town of Monroe.

This place rocks on so many different levels! I got a foil done and it was the first time I didn’t leave with my head smelling like a chemical melting pot. I loved that all their products are organic based. I left smelling great and looked FAB-​O-​LOUS!
Ali was my hair dresser and she not only did a awesome job on my highlights but she also gave me a quick how-​to-​french-​braid lesson!
When it comes to small businesses, this place was awesome! I will be back for my future appointments!
I highly recommend it to those who are seeking a new approach to their hair styling and needs. I had a great time and learned a lot about different chemicals in products and how to avoid them.

I was in when the new owner had just taken over. The place was clean, comfortable and soothing. Dena was my stylist. She did the most amazing shampoo that it is worth going back just for that! My cut was great and I like it a lot. My style is not an easy one to take to a new stylist, btw. It is a very different cut with no true lines to follow and is kinds of edgy. Dena caught on just fine.
